Upon walking in, I was greeted by the cashier and while walking around the employees always checked in and asked if I needed help especially when I was near the meats or deli area where there were a bunch of sides and hot foods. The place is a hidden gem I never knew existed near me with so many variety of Italian goodies. From sauces, to pasta (dry and frozen), to bread, to cheeses, to meats, to prepared hot foods in a container, to gift baskets, to baked goods. You name it, they most likely have it! The food seems to mostly Private Label / Store Brands, around 90% of Aldi's products are its own brands. Which helps keep prices low, but the quality is taken seriously Aldi tests its products. When I finally found someone, one lady was very helpful, and I appreciated her assistance. The environment isn't designed to feel upscale. It's about practicality and keeping costs low. Bagging is selfserve; carts require a quarter deposit, which reinforces the no frills model. The checkout experience was disappointing. The cashier wasn't friendly and didn't answer my question. Luckily, the supervisor stepped in and took the time to answer it, which I did appreciate. Overall, my first visit had a couple of positive moments, but the difficulty navigating the store and the poor customer service at checkout left me unimpressed. I hope future visits are better.
