Stopped in for breakfast and we were happy to find that there wasn't much of a wait. This is a cute little place with only 5 tables. There were 4 people working but none seemed to be doing much. Someone took our drink order and never came back. About 10 minutes later someone came to take our order and retook our drink order. About 10 -15 minutes later we got our drinks (waters and iced T). The waitress was not very friendly and seemed more annoyed that she had to be working. When our food finally arrived we didn't have utensils so we grabbed some from a nearby bin. The waitress saw and grabbed it saying we use plastic. Ok, so maybe give us the plastic so we can eat. For the most part the food was pretty good. Most of our group had egg sandwiches of different types and they enjoyed them. The fresh fruit was delicious. I had a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup was good the grilled cheese had 3 or 4 pieces of cheese that weren't melted at all. For those of you who are super serious about covid rules this place is for you. The staff had masks and gloves and stand across the room to take orders. They use disposable plastic ware and cups. Yummy lunch at The Bickering Sisters in Ogden today! It was a perfect day to sit at their darling patio. I had the Pesto Chicken Sandwich and my friend had the Bickering Chicken Salad Sandwich. I LOVED the pesto, I'll take a gallon of that please! The torta my sandwich was on was pretty hard (I was actually nervous I would break a tooth it was so hard!) so I just ate the chicken and pesto, which I loved. Came here for Breakfast with Hubby for the first time and the service definitely didn't impress me. After ordering, it took nearly 40 mins to get our food, three other tables came after us and had gotten their food before us. Finally asked how much longer it was going to take, they said a few more mins, only have waited for another 10 mins or so. The server then finally had explained the kitchen had messed up our order. To try and mitigate the situation, she had brought a slice of Banana Bread out for us to munch on before getting our food. I'm giving it a 3 start for the food tasting pretty good, and loved the outdoor patio seating, but bad on service and promptness. We ordered the Herb Egg & Spinach Sandwich with spicy sausage and Breakfast Burrito. Both tasted pretty good. read more

The food was delicious and it was so fun to watch the planes take off from the big picture window. There was a long wait for our order; the server brought out complimentary orange blueberry bread while we waited. While I'm sure their mom appreciates the creative "and probably truthful" restaurant name, these ladies were nothing but sweet and running a great little spot. The restaurant seats about 30 people and is quite cozy. Large enough to to spread out but close enough to get a nice, small business vibe. There's a nice breakfast (served all day) variety from French Toast to sandwiches and a bigger selection of lunch fare from sandwiches to salads. Food today was spot on. I opted for the Chicken, Bacon, Bleu sandwich, made perfectly. The added avocado made it a bit gooey but rounded it out well. For a side I went with the potato, bacon, and leek soup. Couldn't get enough of it. Spiced well and very, very flavorful. They run daily specials thy aren't on the menu and all sounded extremely good. Baked Mac N Cheese, French Toast sandwiches, and others. I'm looking forward to more trips to give them a try. Parking can take creativity but being at the commercial "end" of 25th street makes it a bit better. Look for parking along Grant Avenue or behind the shop in the large parking lot. read more

Just off 25th street in Ogden, this is a hidden gem. Definitely ask to be seated outdoors in the courtyard, it's lovely! Very comfy, umbrellas for shade, and birds chirping. The fruit salad was refreshing except they put chopped up pieces of oranges with the rind on so very cumbersome had to eat around that. The sandwich itself was quite peppery and way too many walnuts. After consuming the first side and still chewing on the walnuts, I picked up the second side and found a black hair inside the meat GROSS!!!!! Threw it in the trash. My husband and I stopped here for brunch on our anniversary. There were no indoor tables set up due to covid-19 and we were told to order at the counter then have a seat at a table on the shaded back patio. The girl who took our order seemed really put out by our presence and I was tempted to turn back and find another place within the first minute of being there. Only after we ordered could we go outside to see that all the tables were taken. We were told we weren't allowed to wait inside in the air conditioning, but had to go out to the front in the sun where it was very hot. This seems like an oversight on their part, not realizing all the tables were full before taking our order, and having nowhere for us to wait. We found a ledge ourselves to sit on in the shade and waited. After nearly 20 minutes no tables had cleared, so we decided to ask for our food to go so we could at least eat in our car with air conditioning. On our anniversary. We waited several more minutes, and finally a table cleared so we were able to sit down. We waited a few more minutes for our food, at which point it had been nearly 30 minutes. The menu was disappointing. There's French toast, but it doesn't come with eggs or sausage or anything else. The only side option I noticed was bacon or sausage. They have a breakfast burrito or sandwich but those are bare-bones with just eggs and cheese. If you want to add bacon or sausage, that's another $4 for a very small amount. I am not a fan of Italian sausage on breakfast food (maybe on spaghetti, but not a breakfast sandwich), nor have I ever had chicken sausage that I've liked very much. The only other option was bacon, so I added that to my toad in the hole sandwich on an everything bagel. The egg on top seemed more like a half-egg, and I almost wonder if they had to leave some of it out to fit it in the tiny hole. If I hadn't ordered the bacon, the only thing that would have been between the bagel slices would have been a slice of cheese!! My husband's breakfast burrito was very large but he wasn't the biggest fan of Italian sausage as opposed to normal breakfast sausage, and there were probably 5-6 scrambled eggs inside that thing. Luckily I was able to eat some of his food because my $11 sandwich left me hungry and incredibly dissatisfied. Edited to add: the egg on my sandwich was supposed to be over-medium but had runny egg whites. Not appealing. read more

The difference between indoors and out is massive. Like two different restaurants. When the weather is good, like in the mornings during the summer, absolutely try to get a seat outside. The food is SO Good! As you can tell from the photos, i love the asparagus and eggs dish. Crisp cooked asparagus, lovely roasted tomatoes, briny feta cheese along with some fluffy generous portion eggs. The 21 grain bread is hearty, chewy and the right add on for the eggs. I love it that they give you a very generous amount of soft butter and raspberry jam to go with it. When do you ever go to a restaurant and have BUTTER left over? Ok me neither, but this place will almost make you embarrassed not to leave at least a little they give you so much. The fruit is also a very generous portion. I really appreciate the trouble they go to with the amount and cutting it up so its easy to eat right along with everything else they bring you, and the mix is nice. The price is absolutely great for the generous portions of all the above. Gee Chris, (you are thinking, because no one ever really says gee these days outside of a leave it to beaver re-run) why the 3 stars, since this place seems to take every silly pet peeve of yours about a breakfast place and take care of it? Its because of the two major pet peeves they did not. 1) charging too much for items that should be part of the dish. The dish lovely thought out, and well executed. Maybe its the brunch nature of the place, but charging you $4 extra to add 1 REPEAT 1 sausage (its really good sausage) or the lovely little waffle pattern of thin bacon to the dish offends me. i suppose if you charged say, $10 or even up to the $12 it cost me for the dish including the aforementioned pig parts, i would have not batted an eye, actually i would have declared it a value. Its that good and that worth it. Its part psychology i suppose. No one thinks twice about what an order of fries cost at 5 guys because they dump a bunch extra in the bag. YOU WIN! taking an $8 dollar dish (yes its only 8 bucks for that awesome plate of food) and making it $12 some how offends me and makes me feel like i got jobbed. Maybe change your strategy to include it at $12 and take money off for going meatless, and i will easily give you back the star this pet peeve cost me. Ok silly rant off and now on to the real reason for the lack of perfect number of stars. 2) the customer service is named after the name of the restaurant. Treated like a oozing sore plague victim in a cosmetics factory is an understatement. If you were to write a manual on how not to serve at a restaurant it might go something like this: A) treat the walk in customer with indifference as they walk in. B) announce they may sit where ever they like and don't make sure any tables are cleared for them to pick from C) after said customer sits ignore him for 5 minutes. D) gently inquire if the customer has been helped and then ignore for a few more. E) bring menu and then ask if the customer knows what they want AS YOU HAND THEM THE MENU. F) forget to ask about beverages G) Bring the food, but no utensils, condiments, or beverages. H) when the customer is partly done with the food bring the tablet to have them pay for the food and stand there expecting the tip to be signed for before the meal is over. I) ignore the customer's looks about beverage refills since you have already cashed them out. You could instead of reading all this just go observe the wait staff at this place, i was not the only one, as another guy on his laptop basically got pushed out the door because they wanted to close his check. The place was not full in case you were wondering. Its truly sad, because i love the food that I got so much, i subjected myself to the torture twice more over the last few weeks. I feel like i came out a tougher man for it. You know the feeling? " you can't possibly get me down, i ordered breakfast at bickering sisters and they couldn't break me either" silly hyperbole yes, mostly true none the less. I hope the bickering sister part is between the good sister who makes heaven on a plate and the sister from Dilbert's bowels of accounting who runs the service. Pretty disappointing experience. Our main complaint is the service. We were there over 15 minutes before we could get a drink order in. Waited 5 minutes after asking for cream for the coffee before getting up to find someone and ask for some. Two of the staff had earbuds in the whole time, while talking to customers. Might be easier to hear and remember things if you're not listening to something else at the time. The food was mediocre. We had the breakfast burrito and a chicken salad sandwich. The breakfast burrito, which was advertised to have 3 eggs, probably had -- not an exaggeration -- 7 scrambled eggs in it, with like a couple tablespoons of onions and green peppers and a slice of cheddar cheese. Also, they were out of napkins which is pretty weird for a restaurant to not plan ahead enough to have napkins on a Sunday morning? After waiting for the check, I got up to ask for it, and one of the staff told me the meal was on her and she apologized, which was nice. As soon as we walked out though, a man (who wasn't our waiter and we hadn't interacted with at all) chased us down thinking we had dined and dashed, so that was a nice cherry on top. read more

After not having the proper accommodations at Pig & A Jelly Jar, finding this place made us feel welcome to its home cooked style meals. I've never tried "Orange Custard Dipped French Toast" before so I went for that. It comes with two pieces of grain bread that has a hint of orange flavor. It's topped with bananas, strawberries and berries. For added sweetness it comes with a side of maple syrup. It was delicious, its a balance of healthy savory. This dish was in the pricey side ($7.50) and for an additional $3.50 you have the option to add a spicy Italian sausage with your meal. Friendly service. Yummy! Went today for the first time. Had the asparagus/ tomato/ feta scramble. It was delicious. I also loved the pots of butter and jam--delicious jam!--that came with the toast. And the fruit salad was great. Not the usual limp fare--bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. So good! My orange juice and coffee were also very good. I'll be back. They need cultural sensitive training and become more comfortable using gestures and eye contact with the customers who are Deaf. Please know we love the owners of that restaurant. I came here with my parents for breakfast on a Sunday, it was not as busy as most other places in the same area so that was nice, the atmosphere was subtle and not too loud, I had the spicy Italian sausage spinach and egg breakfast sandwich and thought that it was very good. I've eaten a few times here and have tried the egg salad sand which, the eggplant sandwich, , and the chicken salad sandwich. All three were pretty good but the chicken salad sandwich is by far my favorite. The side to get is their spicy Thai peanut coleslaw. It's super yummy and packs a little kick to it. My wife and I always get their coleslaw whenever we come here. My only suggestion would be to offer some spring rolls with spicy Thai peanut sauce. It's great to go food and I have a hunch their peanut dipping sauce would be excellent. We stop here every time we fly out of Ogden. read more

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. They cleared a couple tables and sat us at one of them. A family of five came in behind us and was seated at the other table. The server girl came and took the family's drink order, then proceeded to make their drinks and serve them, walking by our table both times and didn't acknowledge our existence. We were in a bit of a hurry so we got up to leave and on my way out, I stopped at the counter and said "it would have been nice if you helped us" she said "sorry". Terrible service.
