(Read: not what we expected, what we hoped it would cost) He was able to come over a couple days later and everything looked phenomenal. He did a fantastic job. He had done everything from drywall touch ups, painting, new faucet hose in the kitchen, install a new garage door opener, install a new hanging light, put a new handle on our microwave, and install a new storm door. I'm sure there's things I'm forgetting but it seems like he can do about it all. We had Jeff recommended from a friend of my husbands from work, and I'm so glad we went with him. David, It is…read moreobvious your words (see below where you pleaded Mia Coupa / my bad) were merely an effort to assuage prospective customer's fears about doing business with you. Bottom line you have no intention of making good on your offer to clean up the awful mess you made. Approximately a week ago I asked you if you were confident you could correct the mess you made. You never responded. That is not the posture of a man who regrets what he has done. In your initial response you suggested 2 options (.... I would like to offer full repair at no additional cost to you to help make things right or a partial refund.... Please let me know what feels fair to you, and how best we can proceed.). I think it is in both of our best interests to end this project on friendly terms. Instead of a partial refund, please return all of the money. I will need it to hire someone to clean up what you did, buy additional materials and then complete the job correctly. And here's the kicker, you used tunnel vision on this project. I am a senior citizen with friends, family and I belong to several organizations. One of the most common conversations I hear is 'I wish I had a reliable, handyman, I could trust'. Mike Bussie and Bussie Contracting Services damaged my HVAC lineset during a remodel at my home,…read moreresulting in $5,300 in out-of-pocket costs. Despite clear and indisputable evidence that his actions caused all of the damage I claim, Mike refuses to take any responsibility. He makes claims, but has zero evidence to support these claims. Even more concerning, Bussie Contracting Services is an illegally operating business that is NOT licensed as a residential contractor in the State of Georgia, which is a clear violation of O.C.G.A. § 43-41-2 and § 43-41-17, which require a valid PLB-issued license for residential projects exceeding $2,500. My project was well over that amount. As a result, I am currently preparing to file a formal complaint with the Georgia Professional Licensing Board, which has the authority to: * Investigate and take legal action against unlicensed contractors, * Impose civil penalties up to $5,000 per violation, and * Shut down unlicensed construction businesses and prohibit them from operating in Georgia. If you're considering hiring this company, verify their licensing status carefully. I strongly advise others not to make the same mistake I did.

I cannot say enough positive things about Bussie Contracting! If I could give 10 STARS I would,…read morebecause Mike and his team deserve it. I had three contractors bid a basement remodel. Two informed me that "no" I could not have a drywall ceiling, that I was stuck with a drop ceiling; "no" we can not put a pocket door in this wall; "no" we can't remove a wall. And then there was Mike! I knew from our first telephone conversation that he was the one! I was right! I have a beautiful tray ceiling of drywall, I have a perfect pocket door and there is no more divider wall. Mike spent 1 1/2 hours with me in my basement during the bid process. He is one of the nicest men I have met. He is kind and thoughtful. He listens and then translates builder language into words that I could understand. Mike was so thorough! He noticed a wall that had been built incorrectly and suggested he rebuild it correctly. This will allow me to mount a TV on that wall! He took the time to remove several of the existing drop ceiling tiles and really looked to see what was happening above the tiles and said "yes" we can do a drywall ceiling. Mike suggested other little things like where I planned to mount the TV and he installed the outlet high on the wall to avoid the TV cord being seen. He suggested moving a wall out into the room 20 inches so that the future bathroom would be bigger. I never realized how small that bathroom would be, but Mike did, and his idea was perfect. There were also so many extras that Mike just took care of for me that saved me time and money. I really appreciate his kindness! I am blown away by my new basement. It used to be dark and dreary, and I never used that room. Now it is my favorite room in the house. Bussie started the day they said they would start and finished one day earlier than expected and even came in UNDER the original budget. You will not meet a nicer man and he will do what he says he will do and even go the extra mile to make the customer happy! I can't wait to have Bussie Contracting back to my house for a porch rebuild, kitchen and bathroom remodel as soon as possible!
