I explained that I was willing to pay for my order, so I used Apple Pay again with the same card/account, and the second transaction went through successfully. What bothered me was the way the situation was communicated to me. I was told, "We can't give nothing for free because it's still pending." I never asked for anything for free, nor did I suggest that I wasn't going to pay. I had already attempted to pay for my order, and when I was told there was an issue with the first transaction, I immediately paid again.I am now being told that I have to wait for the original pending transaction to return to my account. This means I currently have two transactions associated with the same order, with one still pending. Even after this interaction, I still left a tip because I was not trying to avoid paying for my order. I simply wanted to receive what I had paid for without being made to feel as though I was asking for something for free. I understand that pending card transactions can happen and that the business may need to verify payment. However, I feel the situation could have been handled much more respectfully. The statement about not giving me anything for free was unnecessary because I never requested anything for free. I would appreciate clarification regarding the pending transaction and confirmation that I will not ultimately be charged twice for the same order.

The area is huge on water rafting, so it was quirky and fitting. We loved that the coffee shop sells growlers of their cold brew. If we had been staying locally, we would have turned around and grabbed one. We both ordered cold brew (both with oat milk and hubby also got sugar free salted caramel syrup). The cold brew was berry forward and smooth. We will head back here again when passing through.
