There are some interesting drink flavors you won't see at other cafes, and it is neat to see the Mexican influence that this shop has integrated into their menu. We are so excited to have a local option in East Ridge that has heart, and I am eager to go back and try something a little out of my comfort zone and order some hot food from their menu. That tres leches was top notch, but I also really enjoyed my pan de elote. The cold foam on the frappe was a nice touch, and the churro had wonderful cinnamon flavor, which I was craving on a cold fall morning. Next time, I have my eyes on the Mazapan Frappe because I don't know if my tastebuds are quite brave enough to try the Arroz Y Frijol Frappe.

I like ice cream, but I don't love it, EXCEPT when it comes from Scoop Around. The first time I…read morewent it was because I was on a walk with my boyfriend and his mom and they wanted to go. I wasn't even expecting to get anything. When I walked in though, I tried a spoon of the key lime flavor they had at the time. I expected it to taste like key-lime-flavored-ice-cream but it tasted like a scoop full of key lime PIE The texture even felt like pie because there were delicious hunks of graham crust inside. I was converted. BUT, even more importantly, this shop is run by passionate people. The second time we went in was weeks or even a little over a month later and they remembered us. They gave us a pup cup for my boyfriend's dog while he waited outside with him and they were so helpful and patient with me and his mom. We were indecisive and might have been hard to communicate with because we struggled through our decision making process in Spanglish. She was trying in both languages to explain to me what she wanted but my help wasn't needed at all because the people at Scoop got the gist of what flavor she was craving (rum and raisin) and did their best to come up with something adjacent. She loved it! I so appreciate the kind people at Scoop. "Son muy atentos" y "bien nice."

I absolutely loved the décor. The menu is extensive, and it was hard to choose just one thing, so my friend and I ordered two juices (Dope Beets & Let's Kick It Out) and two plates (the Grilled Pimento Panini and the Buddha Bowl) to share. The juices were phenomenal. Honestly, I would go back just for those. I really wanted to love the food, but unfortunately, it lacked flavor. I even ordered a cookie to try to redeem the meal, but that missed the mark as well. I felt especially bad because I brought a non-vegan friend and didn't want their first impression of vegan food to be a disappointing one, but sadly, that's how it turned out. That said, I'd be willing to return and try something different. Maybe it was just an off day, or perhaps the dishes we chose just weren't the best representation of the menu. I'd definitely come back for the juices, and I'm curious to try the smoothies too. Those might be a winner. I really want this place to thrive and wish them all the best! I really love their concept and support their mission 100%.

I got the jackfruit sandwich, the texture was amazing, but I believe it was very salty (I got a mix of buffalo and barbecue sauce mix) and with that I believe getting only barbecue might be better to keep the saltiness level of the sandwich down. My friend was very impressed with how real the cheesy taco tasted, good cheese taste and texture. The Buddha bowl had a beautiful presentation and was very balanced and nutritious. YUM! Would definitely recommend.

Let's start with this point, my rating is temporary, this is a new business, with not just limited hours of operation, but also a very limited range of products. I get it, they don't want to over-extend themselves as they look to establish their place in the market. So this is a placeholder, as I am really looking for so much more out of this shop. What pastries they offered were expensive, again I get it. They were though authentic, and based upon their taste, being made with the very best of ingredients. You sample these, you will want more, but the cautionary word is this, get there early, you may not always be able to find what you want. It's a cute little shop. The storefront awning which I understand was mounted yesterday, is a great look. You can really find them now! The young lady working the counter was friendly and helpful, kudos! My plan for this weekend, grab one of their baguettes, some cheese from Bleu Fox and a bottle of wine. My mouth is already watering in anticipation!

We took quite a bit of time to decide (because everything looked so good on their menu); I ended up ordering the House Plate. The food was so delicious. The beans were flavorful and I was so happy at the amount on my plate. The avocado was creamy and the egg was a great addition on top that tied the whole dish together. I don't know what this piece was called, but it looked like I had some rice cracker things that were crunchy and provided a nice texture. Lastly, my favorite part were the grilled sweet plantains. They were caramelised and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Also the side salad tasted very fresh and healthy. The House Plate as a dish was so well balanced, there were healthy fats, protein, carbs, fiber. It had different textures from the various components that made up the dish. Visually it looked very nice too. Service was friendly and nice. I will rave about this place anywhere and to anyone who listens lol.
