Beez has lost its luster and after a few visits over the last 60 days, it just isn't good. There isn't an ounce of seasoning to be found on or in their dishes. A little salt and pepper in the kitchen can go a long ways. The food has become bland, bland, bland. This causes most everything on the plate to taste the same. Today's venture was the pork chops. Paper thin and cooked at too high of heat. The chops burn but the fat doesn't render and you're left with a greasy mess. I've avoided most meat products here as they just aren't good. At all. There are a couple redeeming values here. The biscuits and gravy are okay when you add some pepper. The scones are decent as well. They are also faster to get in to than other breakfast spots.

My husband and I went back & forth on this rating. Service on drinks was great. His French dip had amazing flavor and the homemade French fries - plus a little salt - were great. My breakfast is the reason we are "one and done." 1. Pancakes came out first. Was so excited to try the 3 syrups they offered, but I never eat dessert (pancakes) first. 2. Pork chop was SUPER fatty, and advertised as marinated in special sauce, which I couldn't detect. 3. Eggs had no seasoning. 4. Breakfast potatoes had no seasoning. I do understand catering to an older clientele, which was obvious when we walked in, and was confirmed by our waitress, but flavorless is not an option. Our waitress even asked about my food, because I was eating my husband's sandwich and not my food, and I told her it was flavorless, and she said many of their guests can't have seasonings.

Beez Café in Roy, UT. is your standard large café type restaurant along the lines of Denny's/Village Inn/JB's. In fact the building that Beez Café is currently in used to be a JB's restaurant many years ago. That being said, there is nothing wrong at all with that. Beez Café serves large portions of delicious food that comes out of their kitchen quickly, is hot and tasty and doesn't tear all the cash out from the inside of your wallet or purse and make you weep a little on the inside. As is common in these types of one-off restaurants, the waitresses are of the old-school diner variety meaning that they are sharp, quick-witted and smart-mouthed but fast and friendly at the same time and have probably been waitressing in diners and restaurants for years. My favorite kind of waitress!! If you get in their face about something, they will give it right back but with a wink and a smile! I have only had lunch here once, which was a burger that was cooked very well and had the standard accompaniments. Hot, fresh and delicious but not really remarkable in any way. I come here more for the breakfast. The breakfast at Beez Café is fantastic! Great selection of everything from your standard eggs and bacon to breakfast burritos, skillets, waffles & pancakes, biscuits and gravy and of course ginormous scones as is the de-facto rule at all breakfast establisments in Utah! If you are in the Roy area and are hankering for a new place to try for tasty breakfast, check out Beez Café!

Do you like mystery meat underneath your french toast?!!?!? Well if you do Beez Cafe if the place for you! I tried to handle the situation as calmly as I could until the airhead waitress told me I would still have to pay for it since I ate it ?!?!?!?! Manager took it off my ticket OF COURSE but will never eat here again. *throwing up*

Not happy at all. Every time I am in the area I usually go to this place for coffee/latte. Utah is…read morepretty dead for coffee and it's hard to find a place that isn't Starbucks. Today was my last visit to scooters. First of all they will not put the coffee into my own tumbler. Ok. So I get another dose of micro plastics from their cup. But then today I ordered a plain hot latte and picked it up in the drive thru. I was about 5 miles down the road when I took my first sip of it. This was not what I ordered. This damn thing was sweet as hell. I ordered no flavors. It was undrinkable. The lattes here have been mediocre at best but this just finished my patronage. Can't wait to get back to Boise so I can get a great latte.

All the coffee shops around my area have closed down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so a friend suggested I come and "try" Scooters, which I was more than happy to do! I wasn't sure what to get, so I looked at their menu in the parking lot before I pulled in. I decided on their featured latte, and I wasn't disappointed! With most places, I'm a little skeptical of featured menu items because I'm scared fo try something new, but I don't have that fear with Scooters! One thing I have to be cautious with is the ingredients that go into their drinks. I started getting sick, as did my baby, and I didn't realize until after there was one drink with a significant amount of dairy (or so I assume) that was upsetting our stomachs. That particular drink was taken off the menu so I stopped getting it, and we haven't had an issue since. I do NOT blame the company for that at all, that's on me. It just reminded me to be a little more mindful of what I'm ordering. A side note- don't forget to download their app so you can get points every visit and redeem free drink rewards!

The second time was uncomfortable because Karen was loudly spouting some pretty hateful and discriminatory opinions of political and religious nature. Normally I try to hold space for people's opinions. We learn a lot from each other just by listening, and it's nice to get an expanded perspective when we're open to other people's experiences and another point of view. BEANS is NOT this kind of environment. Sadly. It's like the owner is trying to out-Woke her own self. I'm lbgtq and disabled. What's happening here is not the kind of advocacy we need. We don't create safe spaces by hating on everyone who is not just exactly like us. Most of us just want to not have constant conflict, confrontation and political or social strife. Standing up for others rights is one thing. Intentionally creating discord is quite another. This experience is not great for anyone with anxiety, or needs peace and calm, with a sensory processing disorder or preference to avoid conflict. Hate doesn't need a seat at the table. Kind of done with that. I'm not coming back. The coffee is good though. So are the baked treats. Had a lot of potential.

It definitely has the small business feel and hospitality; there was one person working the shop-taking orders, preparing the drinks and keeping things humming. I ordered a hot tea and a cake pop then learned that those cake pops are made onsite and are larger than any others I've seen. That's kind of a fun claim to fame. One of the walls is impressively stocked with shelves of different syrups, so you can request any wild combination of flavors to make your drink your very own-something I know locals really appreciate and order frequently. The ambience was ok-they were decorated for Christmas with all things grinch related. We might have come just as they were moving inventory, because there were lots of boxes stacked up in the seating area and a big ladder off to the side. There are different seating arrangements-tables and chairs as well as larger chairs along the walls to invite you to stay awhile. On another wall, there are gift-shop type trinkets, coffee you can buy and take back home and some jewelry items. I always like to browse these things, especially when they are from local artisans.
