It's your typical American breakfast kind of place. We got steak and eggs with hash browns and scones and an order of the Beez combo with sausage links and waffle. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside (a different texture than most hash browns). My waffles was a little burnt but I didn't mind. The waitress made sure I was okay with it. She was super nice. Despite being super packed, she gave excellent service. Also, extra points for being open on a Sunday. read more

The waitresses have always been very kind and friendly. I like the feel of the atmosphere as it is an old school diner, not many like it around. Now the important part the food. I have had breakfast here many times and for the food you get for the money it is definately 5 stars. Really cheap breakfasts for around 6 dollars that includes eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and a huge scone, yes the scone is what makes it so worth it. However, on the downside, i had their daily special, sweet and sour chicken, Now i know why it was their special, must have had a lot of leftover chicken they were trying to get rid of because it was very tough and not easy to chew, the flavor was average but the dish itself was very below average. Be careful getting the specials it may be food they are trying to liquidate, in this case i'm pretty sure it was. I hate to downgrade them because of their sweet and sour chicken, but keep it safe and go with the breakfast and scone, you won't be sorry. read more

The owner lady is so awesome and she is beautiful as well! She recognizes us everytime we go there... Service has always been spot on and the food is decent. Breakfast with pancakes and raspberry syrup is my favorite and I don't care for pancakes that much... read more

We always get our order to go and it's always good and made correctly. We love the country platter. We have only dined in a few times and it's was good too. There's usually a wait on the weekends for breakfast. But not too long. To go orders have always been with in about 15min. read more

Ah-mazing! The scones! Lots of regulars, waitress knows folks by name. Had the breakfast special $5.99 eggs, potatoes, sausage and scones with honey butter. The refills kept coming even during a busy time. So yummy! read more

I went here the other day with a few coworkers. The service was quick even though we had a large group. The food was alright.. My opinion is probably a little biased since I'm not a huge fan of diners, but this place was A-OK. I ordered the special which consisted of a salad, fries, and a Quesadilla Hamburger, which definitely sounds strange, and turned out that way I must admit. Having a hamburger inside a quesadilla isn't my favorite thing to eat, but it wasn't bad. read more

Can I just tell you how wonderful Holly was? I could write volumes on her friendly attitude and welcoming demeanor. She was on top of all of our refills and gave us a genuine, human interaction that really spoke volumes about this place. The food was great, the atmosphere was comfortable, but Holly really brought this experience together. So thank you for an absolutely fantastic first impression of Bees Cafe read more

We felt this place was very hit or miss. I had a country platter that was amazing (hashed browns piled high with veggies, bacon, gravy, eggs -- the works). The huge plate was enough to feed both my husband and I. My coffee was always full, as were our water glasses. However, the hashbrowns were not cooked enough, and were more soggy than crunchy. Also, my brother-in-law ordered pancakes with blueberry, that he said was subpar. It was very obvious that the fruit was canned pie filling. But maybe one should not expect so much from a diner. read more

They need real creamer for the coffee. They only have milk.... Really?!? The scones are wonderful but they would be even better with fresh jam. Not the jam in the little packets... Gross. The biscuits and gravy were sub-par. The gravy did not have any sausage bits in it. We make it better than they do. A bit disappointed. read more

Fast service. I got the lunch special a quesadilla burger. The food was excellent and my server kept my cokes lined up on the table so I never ran out. Excellent place for lunch. Colleenia did a great job read more

Listen, food might be good enough but we wouldn't know. I have a child with a peanut tree nut allergy. Most people might not believe it's a big deal. Wait until you watch your child go into anaphylactic shock. With only minutes to inject him with two epi-pens to save his life. It makes you vigilant. You are always making sure restaurants understand or can accommodate. Almost every place I've been blindly explains what they can do. This place overly explained what they could not do. What they could not guarantee. She was rude to my family and was very flippant. We can eat at many restaurants that cannot guarantee our safety but they kindly explain how they work their kitchen. They do what they can for customer service. And we eat there understanding what we need to do on our side. And I return and eat with friends or colleagues when we don't have to be as vigilant because it's a good business to support. Sadly, this place that sounded so nice was not a safe place. Not because of their inability to accommodate people with an allergy, but because of their attitude about it. Places like this need to train their people or clearly post that they don't care about the health and safety of their patrons. Cheers! read more

If you are looking for good food.. Go somewhere else.. I ordered the basic scones and hashbrowns.. Should be good right.. Not at all the scones are over cooked and hard as a rock and the hashbrowns burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside.. Save your money or go to Sills.. Don't go here read more

Finally went to bees Café was not impressed food was simply not good ordered pork chops they had too much fat food tasting blend no flavor I ordered French toast it look like the toast had pancakes glued to them I don't know about this place read more

Beez has that hometown/comfort vibe. Seems the place where area residents meet/chat over morning coffee. The staff was totally bubbly and super friendly. We stopped in for breakfast on the verge of the lunch hour. Food came out quick...and is well priced for portion size. My food was descent...but the ladyfriends' bacon was soooo cold, she couldnt eat it. Everything else was hot/edible though. read more

Alaska folks in town for visit and this place fit the bill. building is old and worn but the service, food and prices were very good. Youngsters in group asked to return for breakfast! Scones as big as your head. If you are looking for basic food and good service... give them a try. read more

Steak looked horrible and not cooked as ordered. Waitress took forever to do anything. Hubby received his salad before we got our drinks. Pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream were good. Not impressed at all. read more

This is not a fine dining establishment, so if you are looking for a fancy place to eat, this is not it. However, if you want that home cooked food at a very reasonable price, you'll love it here. Most of the diners are regulars and the staff knows them by name. I've never had bad food or bad customer service. I come often, but not enough to where they know me by name. read more

The food here is good, and despite the fact that the place is always busy service is always fast. The wait staff are very nice. A great go to for the classic Utah scone. read more

Standard breakfast fare, nothing to get too excited about. Decent service @ reasonable prices. A HUGE safety concern was the emergency exit in the east dining area BLOCKED by booster seats and high chairs. My server did not seem too interested in addressing the issue. Other than that, the place is worth a try. read more

I've been to Beez in Roy several times, but I think it's gone downhill. The good: Excellent scones and honey butter. Everything else is just diner mediocre. The bad: Hash browns were horrible! I've rarely had to spit out food, but I literally could not chew the hash browns. The light brown hash browns were hard, and not chewable, not crispy. Then the soft undercooked hash browns were chewable. I think they may use frozen, or leftover hash browns, not sure, but this was awful. It just felt like the cook didn't care. The ham was just thrown on top of my over-easy eggs and one of the eggs had broken underneath the ham, and yolk was all over the plate underneath the ham. The eggs were cooked too much (high heat) on the outside and were slimy underneath. Definitely not a real chef in the kitchen. Ham was okay, coffee was hot, scones great, service good, but when there is something on the plate that is inedible and gross - that's not okay. I will try to post a video of my wife's hash browns. To save you the "Ick" factor I won't post the spat-out hash browns on my plate. Update: because of time constraints I went to Beez again a few days ago (March 24 or so)- we had omelettes this time, and no hash browns (not ever again). All three omelettes were way over cooked! Whoever is in the kitchen needs to turn the fire down- holy crap! C'mon Beez! Maybe do a little more training with your cooks! A little Gordon Ramsay, Thomas Keller, Jamie Oliver, or Bobby Flay YouTube videos could do a world of good for your kitchen! I won't be going back any time soon. read more

Staff is all super friendly - not one person who wasn't smiling at the customers. Food was okay, I hoped for better.

Beez Cafe has become my Friday morning breakfast go to for a sit down mom and pop style restaurant. I was a bit hesitant to submit a review as I think a lot of people have found this place making it difficult to get a table, Especially on weekends. I really like their breakfast specials, the food is good, large portions, and at a great price. The decor is good, it's not new, but not rundown. The service is good and friendly and even during busy times the food comes out fast. read more

I've eaten here several times. Breakfast & Lunch. I've found the food to be generally decent. Not fantastic, but decent. Prices are quite reasonable, the staff is courteous, & the service good. One can easily pay more money for a worse experience from one of the chain restaurants. read more

Beez is OK if you need a quick basic breakfast, service has always been good. Daily specials are a good deal and their prices are very fair. read more

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. My family is VERY indecisive. We came in there about 7:30 and they close at 8. The waitstaff was still VERY nice and didn't rush us at ALL. Even after the waitress came back over 4 times. My son has a food allergy and our waitress, Marlo, was SOOOOO nice about it. She checked and triple checked everything so many times that I felt more comfortable than him in our own home. When issues arose, she found nice, tasty, and creative solutions to them. Seriously, Marlo's boss, give her a raise! She's worth keeping around. The food portions are HUGE! The scones could be slightly bigger, but I guess that's just be REALLY wanting more scones; they're SOOOOO good! The food did sit in the window a little longer than I would have liked, but that's because the waitress was deal with my son's food allergy the entire time. I ordered a burger and you could taste the freshness of the beef! The beef itself was frickn' OR**SMIC!!! Add in the sauted onions (which I normally don't care for, but I DEVOURED), the mushrooms, and the cheese and I didn't want to leave!!! I rarely get to Roy anymore, nor do I go to cafes much, but I will make an exception for this place. SOOOOOOOO FRICKN' GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees. read more

First time here. My husband had the country fried steak and eggs. It's been years since we have had a homemade steak like this in a restaurant. I had the pork chops and eggs. Again nice thick pork chops. Great hash browns. I had the scones OMG!! So good. Our waitress knew her regulars by name. Just good down home restaurant. read more

Well I'm not sure how to even start this but here goes nothing, absolutely nothing!! My wife and I decided to stop in for breakfast and we hadn't been to Beez in a while so we went. The woman at the counter told us to sit anywhere we like so we did and waited for our waitress(coffee, menus etc.) 10 minutes later and we still have no coffee, no menus etc. I understand if the place is busy, but when there's only 2 tables, that have been served, Unacceptable. Needless to say we won't be going back for a long while, we went to Moore's instead!!! read more

My family and I love coming to Bee's! There food is so yummy! If we ever want a home cooked meal but don't feel like cooking, we head to Bee's. This place is definitely in my top 5! Great local, down home feel. Country fried steak w/gravy was excellent! Their scones were fantastic. We got a lot of food for the money. The only not so great part was the unfriendly & impersonal gal who was our cashier. read more

We went here for dinner. Prices are not bad, but food isn't great either. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes. Potatoes were instant, with gravy made from a powder on top of them. Steak was the variety that you can buy at the grocery store & deep fry. My roll was rubbery from being microwaved to warm it up. Nothing to write home about or recommend. read more

I love this place the food is great , but today I picked up a to go. When ordering I asked if there were any other veggies available beside broccoli and mashed potatoes. When I arrived I heard the servers in the kitchen area talking about how much of an idiot I was for asking for another veggie. Everyone in the front of the restaurant could hear them. So thank you for an insulting visit Linda and co. read more

I typically rate a place based on food taste, service, atmosphere and price I paid for the food. That's why I give The Beez Cafe 5-stars. The service was great (always had my coffee topped off, the food for the price you paid was excellent (I had 2 biscuits and gravy with a good size slice of ham and eggs with the coffee for 8 bucks), and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Overall, and enjoyable place with good atmosphere. read more

I must admit that I was skeptical when the family decided to meet here for dinner the other night. We had a group of about 25 people and the staff at the restaurant was more than accommodating. And with that many people there was a wide array of food ordered. I ordered the chicken pot pie which I wouldn't recommend. But most of the others ordered breakfast food. With that being said I realize it is hard to screw up pancakes but I guess the thing that really jumped out at me was just how inexpensive the place was. They were giving you pancakes and eggs for like $2.99. I wouldn't say it was the best food I ever had but I don't know how you can beat breakfast for that cheap. The burger and fries my son had was decent as well. Overall a clean inexpensive restaurant. read more

The waitress Colleena was totally awesome. ..fast and friendly. Other than the busser, she was the only server. First of all the salad was nothing but iceburg lettuce, which someah of it was turning brown, and there were 2 sliced tomatoes and that was it. But when our hot beef sandwich & mashed potatoes. As soon as our food was put in front of it L@@ked disgusting! The sandwich&mashed potatoes were totally covered in dark brown lumpy gravy. It seriously looked like someone s*it diharrea. The meat tasted icky too. We ate a little bit of food then asked for a doggy bag cuz we seriously gave it to our dogs. T he cashier asked us if everything was ok but we were in a hurry so I said "fine". If I can find an email for them.... i'll tell them to read their yelp reviews. read more
