Listen, food might be good enough but we wouldn't know. I have a child with a peanut tree nut allergy. Most people might not believe it's a big deal. Wait until you watch your child go into anaphylactic shock. With only minutes to inject him with two epi-pens to save his life. It makes you vigilant. You are always making sure restaurants understand or can accommodate. Almost every place I've been blindly explains what they can do. This place overly explained what they could not do. What they could not guarantee. She was rude to my family and was very flippant. We can eat at many restaurants that cannot guarantee our safety but they kindly explain how they work their kitchen. They do what they can for customer service. And we eat there understanding what we need to do on our side. And I return and eat with friends or colleagues when we don't have to be as vigilant because it's a good business to support. Sadly, this place that sounded so nice was not a safe place. Not because of their inability to accommodate people with an allergy, but because of their attitude about it. The waitresses have always been very kind and friendly. I like the feel of the atmosphere as it is an old school diner, not many like it around. Now the important part the food. I have had breakfast here many times and for the food you get for the money it is definately 5 stars. Really cheap breakfasts for around 6 dollars that includes eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and a huge scone, yes the scone is what makes it so worth it. However, on the downside, i had their daily special, sweet and sour chicken, Now i know why it was their special, must have had a lot of leftover chicken they were trying to get rid of because it was very tough and not easy to chew, the flavor was average but the dish itself was very below average. Be careful getting the specials it may be food they are trying to liquidate, in this case i'm pretty sure it was. I went here the other day with a few coworkers. The service was quick even though we had a large group. The food was alright.. My opinion is probably a little biased since I'm not a huge fan of diners, but this place was A-OK. I ordered the special which consisted of a salad, fries, and a Quesadilla Hamburger, which definitely sounds strange, and turned out that way I must admit. We felt this place was very hit or miss. I had a country platter that was amazing (hashed browns piled high with veggies, bacon, gravy, eggs -- the works). The huge plate was enough to feed both my husband and I. My coffee was always full, as were our water glasses. However, the hashbrowns were not cooked enough, and were more soggy than crunchy. Also, my brother-in-law ordered pancakes with blueberry, that he said was subpar. It was very obvious that the fruit was canned pie filling. They need real creamer for the coffee. They only have milk.... Really?!? The scones are wonderful but they would be even better with fresh jam. Not the jam in the little packets... Gross. I've been to Beez in Roy several times, but I think it's gone downhill. The good: Excellent scones and honey butter. Everything else is just diner mediocre. The bad: Hash browns were horrible! I've rarely had to spit out food, but I literally could not chew the hash browns. The light brown hash browns were hard, and not chewable, not crispy. Then the soft undercooked hash browns were chewable. I think they may use frozen, or leftover hash browns, not sure, but this was awful. It just felt like the cook didn't care. The ham was just thrown on top of my over-easy eggs and one of the eggs had broken underneath the ham, and yolk was all over the plate underneath the ham. The eggs were cooked too much (high heat) on the outside and were slimy underneath. Definitely not a real chef in the kitchen. Ham was okay, coffee was hot, scones great, service good, but when there is something on the plate that is inedible and gross - that's not okay. I will try to post a video of my wife's hash browns. To save you the "Ick" factor I won't post the spat-out hash browns on my plate. Update: because of time constraints I went to Beez again a few days ago (March 24 or so)- we had omelettes this time, and no hash browns (not ever again). All three omelettes were way over cooked! Whoever is in the kitchen needs to turn the fire down- holy crap! C'mon Beez! Maybe do a little more training with your cooks! A little Gordon Ramsay, Thomas Keller, Jamie Oliver, or Bobby Flay YouTube videos could do a world of good for your kitchen! I won't be going back any time soon. read more

Well I'm not sure how to even start this but here goes nothing, absolutely nothing!! My wife and I decided to stop in for breakfast and we hadn't been to Beez in a while so we went. The woman at the counter told us to sit anywhere we like so we did and waited for our waitress(coffee,menus etc.) 10 minutes later and we still have no coffee, no menus etc. I understand if the place is busy, but when there's only 2 tables, that have been served, Unacceptable. The waitstaff was still VERY nice and didn't rush us at ALL. Even after the waitress came back over 4 times. My son has a food allergy and our waitress, Marlo, was SOOOOO nice about it. She checked and triple checked everything so many times that I felt more comfortable than him in our own home. When issues arose, she found nice, tasty, and creative solutions to them. Seriously, Marlo's boss, give her a raise! She's worth keeping around. The food portions are HUGE! The scones could be slightly bigger, but I guess that's just be REALLY wanting more scones; they're SOOOOO good! The food did sit in the window a little longer than I would have liked, but that's because the waitress was deal with my son's food allergy the entire time. I ordered a burger and you could taste the freshness of the beef! The beef itself was frickn' OR**SMIC!!! Add in the sauted onions (which I normally don't care for, but I DEVOURED), the mushrooms, and the cheese and I didn't want to leave!!! I must admit that I was skeptical when the family decided to meet here for dinner the other night. We had a group of about 25 people and the staff at the restaurant was more than accommodating. And with that many people there was a wide array of food ordered. I ordered the chicken pot pie which I wouldn't recommend. But most of the others ordered breakfast food. With that being said I realize it is hard to screw up pancakes but I guess the thing that really jumped out at me was just how inexpensive the place was. They were giving you pancakes and eggs for like $2.99. I wouldn't say it was the best food I ever had but I don't know how you can beat breakfast for that cheap.
