Beer and coffee sign me up! I grabbed the first street parking stall i saw. The concept is simple beer or coffee. At 11am i went with an Americano i was pleased it is smooth. The barista made sure my order was correct, I appreciate that because it doesn't always happen. The drinks came up quick. They have a stage for live music and plenty of different settings for pairs or a small group. You can even sit in the front window. What a pleasant shop and I hope to be back.

Cool spot, coffee in the morning and brews for happy hour. Check out my visit here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7ZXYpzRa71/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Follow to discover more cool spots .

apparently it takes 2 people to make a coffee while customers mop up the floor.

This was crazy to watch.. A customer dropped their coffee and the barista came out to "clean it up." It appeared the customer offered to clean up and the barista happily provided the customer the mop, brought the bucket, and left to the counter to make him a coffee. All while another barista was watching the entire ordeal. Im sure the customer would've happily waited for both. The work ethic is pathetic and painful to watch. Please train the baristas what customer service is. Aside from that, coffee is on point.

We came on a Saturday morning around 11:30. There was a sizable line that continued to grow. We specifically came to try their Mexican mocha & were disappointed to hear they couldn't make it once we got to the front of the line. We were also told they couldn't make a chai latte or either of their 2 seasonal maple lattes. We saw that customers waiting ahead of us were informed they weren't able to get their ordered beverage anymore. (Unable to provide that many menu items at this time?!) It was at least a 20 min wait for our 2 large drinks once we ordered. We settled for a pumpkin spice latte and mocha, which were enjoyable enough. The PSL had a lingering spice and subtle sweetness. The mocha had a gentle chocolate flavor and was a little fruity. We also had a pumpkin muffin, and while it had good texture & taste, it didn't really have a pumpkin flavor at all. Alas, none of the flavors were that compelling to me. The customer service wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. They just seemed too busy. The menu on a tv screen wasn't the easiest to read, and only listed the prices for size small. The price for the seasonal specials were also not visually displayed. The atmosphere was cute. The clientele was diverse. I found the music a little loud in spots for conversation. There were high and regular table options, a small bar, couches in their glass window front and in the back, and one table set up outside. There was a small stage towards the back for open mic times.

Such a cute place

I love the vibe of this place. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The employees are very knowledgeable and answer any questions I might've had. I ordered an iced Mexican mocha and it was out of this world delicious. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't too bitter. They had just the right amount of ice to drink. The place itself is super clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. There are plenty of places to sit, and they even have a little space towards the back for live music. We went on a Thursday mid day, and the barista was very focused and got everybody's drinks out in a timely manner. This place is truly a vibe and if you were ever in Salinas California, you definitely have to check them out.

Coffee is always great here ! They roast their own beans and always provide amazing fresh espresso and other options Service is always great as well, Fabian and others from the staff always take time to provide you with what you need and even latte art ! Ambiance is great prefect place for studying !

White White Mocha nasty taste like water

I order two white mochas with a concha. The lady at the front that took my order @1:10 pm on 1/13/26 was so rude. Coffee was watered down tasted like water, and she forgot to give me my bread. When i reminded her at the end once she gave me my coffee she seemed annoyed and bothered.

Stopped here because it was close to 101 and I was road-tripping. Man am I glad stopped! Chill service and vibes throughout the whole place. The place was basically empty because I needed my 7am caffeine fix but the service and coffee was still on point. I'd def recommend the Dulce Latte. Their large is a great size (I think 24oz but don't quote me on that). Im sad I'm an out of towner because this looks like THE spot to kick it in Salinas. Would definitely recommend if you're a local, new to the area, or driving through Salinas.

Busy if you're there during the typical rush hour times of most coffee shops. Service is good and cashier is friendly and doesn't make fun of my way of forgetting how to pronounce Oaxaca :) She patiently repeats the name correctly to make sure I am asking for the correct mocha (Oaxaca Mocha. Found under their "signature" menu). My go to is their hot "classic" drinks while the Oaxacan Mocha is my sweet treat! I really appreciate the consistency in drinks and service!

OVERALL: Kind of reminds me of the local Suju's in Fremont (where I'm from), as their local go to coffee in Salinas that's more concentrated in espresso complexity. CUBANITO: Their specialty! Only 8oz with 3 shots of espresso, turbinado sugar, and milk...can modify level of sweetness. However person for which this drink was for states it's still overly sweet. CARAMEL Macchiato: Made me sad that it wasn't authentic as milk should be first then the shots of espresso so there's two layers (that's why I secretly wanted this drink). Then a drizzle of caramel. Tastes like a caramel macchiato, nonetheless. ***overall, their coffee is good with a smooth flavor profile and no bitter undertones or after taste, equating to high quality beans*** SERVICE: They are so sweet, kind, and patient, willing to answer any and all questions. Very splendid seeing a group of Spanish speaking ladies going strong at it! AMBIANCE: Casual, local coffee joint that's mainly enjoyed by the Hispanic community. Bathroom available. WiFi available. Very clean. Very modern decor. Two outdoor tables. Multiple indoor seating options. Located in the Safeway plaza with a multitude of establishments, stores, Jamba Juice, services, etc. Very large private parking lot. In the suburbs. Would I come back? Probably not.

This is definitely not a place you'd go to for simple espresso drinks. We were content with our drinks: Curious George (mocha with banana cold foam), For the Girls (cold brew with strawberry cold foam), and Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. The flavors came out as expected, but it is was on the sweeter side. The drinks here are on the pricier side. Each of our 16 oz drinks were over $10 after tax and tip. They offer larger cups too around 24oz, similar to a Venti from Starbucks. Given the price only, it's hard for me to justify repeat visits. The store itself is tiny. There is no room for you to sit down and enjoy your drink. The staff were great. They were kind and very attentive despite being very busy when we went. I'd only come if I'm craving their specialty drinks.

Drink thoughts: I'm a matcha fanatic and those around me are coffee connoisseurs and every time I go here I legit get a different drink. For the holidays, you know they had to give us something good! I tried both the Grinch Matcha and Santa Cookie drink and it tastes like Christmas holiday cosy vibes but iced lol. Parking: There is a parking site close by but it can be tight! (Per usual in downtown salinas) Vibes: Immaculate (I need a brewjee sweater / t-shirt now. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, with trendy décor that is very appealing to the eye. When I arrived, it was a little challenging to find the full menu, and I wasn't greeted right away. However, I understand places can get busy, so I didn't let that affect my overall impression too much. I ordered the Panini Caprese sandwich, and my son ordered the Caesar salad wrap. My sandwich didn't look quite as full as the photo, but honestly, the flavor made up for it. It was delicious with great texture, and I loved every bite. I also appreciated that it came with pickled jalapeños on the side, which was a nice extra touch since I love adding those to sandwiches. My son rated his wrap a 3 out of 5. He felt there wasn't much chicken inside, and there also wasn't much Caesar dressing, so it mostly tasted like a wrap with lettuce. It would have been a much better experience if they had included more chicken and Caesar dressing on the side to add more flavor. Overall, I'd definitely come back and try this place again because I really enjoyed my sandwich and the café itself has such a cute, cozy vibe.

It is tucked in the corner of a small shopping center in the town of Prunedale, near the intersection of Highways 156 and 101. While the outside is nondescript, the bakery itself is beautiful on the inside and the selection of baked goods is extensive and spectacular. So many unique and tempting creations. It is difficult to choose one thing to order because there are so many that look amazing. We tried what they call a roulette which is a round layered pastry that is loaded with flavor. It was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet but just right. The disappointing factor at Gourmet Central Bakery is the coffee. It was incredible weak and flavorless. Not sure if it was the beans they use or the mix of water to coffee, but it was hugely disappointing. It did not compliment whatsoever their incredible baked goods. I hope they will focus on providing beverages that match the quality and creativity of their pastries. I would say check out GCB for all of their incredible baked goods, just don't order coffee until they make some changes. Their baked goods deserve, as do customers, a satisfying coffee pairing.
