I went to Kaylah for over two years, but during that time, she canceled my appointment at least seven times on the morning of, always with reasons like not sleeping, not feeling well, or having a migraine. I understand that people get sick, but this was excessive. Even her colleagues once jokingly commented, "Oh, you're not sick today?" while I was there. The most recent cancellation is what pushed me to write this review. Kaylah texted me at 8:41 AM to cancel my 10 AM appointment due to a migraine. We rescheduled for Monday at 10 AM, but that morning, she texted again at 8:58 AM saying her alarm didn't go off and asked to move it to 11 AM. During my appointment, she mentioned she was leaving for Miami in two days and had a lot to do--after my hair, she was heading to get her nails done. I did notice my appointment felt shorter than usual, but I didn't think much of it at the time. However, when I got home around 4 PM, I realized my hair was completely uneven--one side had blonde highlights while the other had red highlights. Worse, some sections at the front weren't even colored at the roots. I immediately sent her pictures, but she didn't respond. The next morning, I followed up, and an hour later, she finally replied, acknowledging the issue but saying she couldn't fix it because she was still busy preparing for her trip. Instead, she suggested I call the salon to have someone else correct it, which was not the solution I was expecting. I reached out to her with questions about who would fix it and whether I'd be charged, but she was slow to respond. After multiple calls to the salon went unanswered, I contacted another stylist I had previously seen when Kaylah canceled. She fit me in and discovered that Kaylah had missed multiple sections of my roots. I had to get my entire root redone and foils added to blend the color properly. While I was getting my hair fixed, Kaylah texted to ask if I had heard from anyone at the salon. I let her know I hadn't and that my whole root needed to be redone along with foils to correct her mistakes. I also asked her to cancel my next appointment. At the very least, I expected her to offer a refund for the botched job, but she never responded. I strongly caution anyone considering The Beauty Call and Kaylah. read more

I've been here twice. First time was just for a balayage which was great. The second time, I returned with my daughter for a simple shampoo and and trim. Our hair was sprayed down with a water bottle instead of the traditional shampoo wash in the sink. They did mention that their prices had gone up due to the increase in cost of their products. They didn't use any products on me, so I don't really know how they can justify charging $80 for two haircuts, but I didn't make a big deal out of it. At the end of our appointment, the stylist did a quick blow-dry and sent us on our way. Didn't even offer to style our hair. Fast forward to the following day... I went to do my hair before work and noticed the back of my hair was very uneven. My daughters hair was just as bad. I couldn't believe how bad it looked. I'm only giving two stars because the stylist did apologize and offered to fix it. I was hesitant, but I went. It's better, but also MUCH shorter than I wanted. I only wanted a trim, and she cut about 6 inches of my hair off. I tried to reach out to the owner on two separate occasions to let her know about my experience, and she never got back to me. Gabby was my hair stylist, and she is probably the worst hair stylist I've ever encountered. I'm 38, and I have barely dyed my hair throughout my life. I'm a natural blonde, so going platinum is not this long, drawn-out process for me. I usually do full foil with platinum blonde. Never had an issue. Sat (6/1), I wanted to do something different, so I went with light pink and platinum blonde full foil. Look at pics below for reference. I walked out of the salon, looking like I already had 2 inches of regrowth. No platinum blonde even showed on the sides of my head because she did not let it process long enough. She used hot pink, not light pink. The back of my head had literal GOBS of pink just lathered on, not connecting to my roots. It legit looked like a toddler threw gobs of pink at the back of my head. She was 15 minutes late to the appointment. When i booked it, it said to allot 3 hours for service. The appointment was at 9:45AM. I got there at 9:30 am because I actually respect people's time. No one greeted me as I walked in. I just sat down and started scrolling my phone once I realized I wasn't getting checked in. About 10 am a few girls from sitting out back came out, one asked my name and who I was seeing. At roughly 10:05, Gabby finally started. I had come to this salon 1 other time and saw Tori. She did 2 color foil for me of platinum blonde and strawberry blonde, came out beautifully. When I tried booking again with her online, it only gave me the option of Gabby. I took it because I work constantly and barely have time to sleep, let alone get my hair done. It was my only available day, so I booked with Gabby, expecting all the women there to be good. Boy, was I wrong. I could tell from the jump, just how she was doing the foils that she had bo clue what she was doing but I hate Karen's and didn't want to seem like one. I kept saying in my head, "Trust the process. ".. I knew it was not going to turn out good when my hair was washed, and I looked in the mirror. I knew she had absolutely no business doing color. What i find, especially shady, is 1. She didn't own what she did. A Flippin blind man could see this disaster for what it was. Then 2. She charged me $225 for it.. When back in February, I paid $180 for a 2 color full foil, trim/long layers, AND IT WAS ACTUALLY STYLED TOO.. Because of her lack of time management, I left with half blown dry hair. I had booked a nail appointment for after this and there was no way I was going to waste my nail persons time because of her this "stylists" incompetence. All and all I will never return. I've posted this to TikTok today because I wanted to give them a day to redeem themselves. They have not. I will bad review on all portals, and I will spread the word. The facility itself is dark, smells of mold, and is dingy and cheap looking. I ended up getting $11.99 box dye and did a far superior job than a licensed cosmetologist. How pathetic. If I owned this company I would be mortified this end result walked out. I'm most definitely pushing for a full reimbursement.. Let's see if the owner is a sensible person. I'm not the one. I'm livid my hard earned money was wasted on that garbage. read more

It's a really good place to cut your hair the lady who cut mine was super nice. The only thing that you have to consider is that it's pricy $$$ but other than that the ambience is good and they are very clean. read more
