We told her what we were looking for and she made sure we got what we wanted. The install was quicker then we expected which was also great. The installers called when they were on their way and they showed up on time as well. They were friendly, professional and very helpful. They helped my husband move a few pieces of furniture that I was not able to help move out of the way. The install was quick and they cleaned up after themselves before they left. The carpet is beautiful and we plan on having more installed very soon. Great experience for our first time using Empire Today.

Two years later back-and-forth back-and-forth and now they are not even taking my calls. I've given them everything they asked for pictures, a report from a certified flooring inspector that I had to pay for myself. But yet I'm still sitting here with floors that have large gaps in them from the floor just moving around so much. I have pictures. I have the receipt from the flooring inspector $375. I'm not made of money. That was our grocery bill for that month. I've had to buy area rugs to cover my floors because it's embarrassing. And let me tell you here this started happening less than six months after they installed the floor. DO NOT HIRE EMPIRE TODAY. They do not stand behind their product.

No complaints at all. But Brandon's attention to detail on the measuring and making sure I understood everything was exemplary. The crew who did the install exceeded all expectations! Really went above and beyond, getting the job done faster than scheduled. Profession, great guys who clearly know their business, and don't just do this as a side job. 100% would use them again and recommend them to anyone getting new flooring! 5 star review for a 10 star job!

They sent someone over who said, yes it's bad, and I never heard another word from them. When I called again after I waited a month, I was hung up on! Judy should shut down this business if she is going to treat customers this way. I spent over $10,000 with this company. You might get great service when you first order your carpet, but do not expect any service ever again from this company. Brandon told me to call them for help, and when I did Judy was rude, unresponsive, and unprofessional, and Brandon isn't even there anymore!!

She also has a great sense of style and decorative abilities. She helped me pick out my floor and was with us every step of the way, stopping by daily .I felt she cared about us as people. She always kept me updated, as to material shipping, pick-up and project end. Erica's husband Adam has been doing floors for many years, a family trade learned early from his Father. Adam came by and surveyed the house, did measurements and made suggestions on baseboards, etc. He was happy with my existing baseboards and did not try to sell me anything additional. Now Erica and Adam's team, Kevin and Raoul are the best. Efficient, honest and kind, they did such a fantastic job on our maple wood floors, we could not be more thrilled. Upstairs, we had carpet installed, Erica's team of Ron and Jessie did an incredible job of moving everything and installing new carpet in just one day. AW so nice to walk barefoot on new carpet. Efficient, great communication and affordable! So good, our neighbor had her floors done shortly after seeing ours! We highly endorse Norton Flooring. Chris and Janeen Mason, Ohio

We had to remove carpeting from two bedrooms and a bath before extensive repairs. Then install new carpets. After I explained our project, Katie came to our house within 24 hours. She evaluated the areas and provided helpful suggestions on how to proceed and recommended padding and excellent carpeting. Katie then orchestrated the removal, clean up and installation new carpet after the construction. She reduced a tremendous amount of stress for us by assisting with this project. Oh, the carpeting is a fantastic improvement.

UPDATE: boards were replaced & small credit applied but only after significant effort on our part…read more We cannot recommend Floor Coverings International if you want a company that corrects installation issues beyond using a floor marker to mask installer-caused scrapes. Be prepared to advocate & fight for what you were promised before settling for a poorly done project. After installation, we pointed out several concerns, including scratches & divots (expected in construction, & sales assured us they'd take care of any issues). Many were fixed with floor markers we were willing to look past; however, two areas had deep scratches from the installer carelessly dragging furniture & the bathroom sink. Having given their initial "easy" fix a shot, we requested those boards be replaced. We waited 1.5 weeks between each requested remedy & only got responses after proactively following up a week later. We were given a repair date to replace the boards. The day before (a Sunday), the office called to say the installer had a time conflict (typical for him; he never arrived on time once, often arriving after 12-1pm). She also shared that the day before returning, he claimed he wouldn't do the sink area without a plumber removing & reinstalling the sink--at our expense. We were over a month into this project with zero mention of plumber/spacing issues. During sales, our bathroom was evaluated & sales reassured us there'd be no issues & that they handle that in most installs. When we challenged the extra cost, we were simply told "it's in the contract." That might be acceptable if identified earlier, but he installed the floor fine the first time & made no mention until the day before returning--a month after we raised concerns about scratches in that spot. After another 1.5 weeks, a new installer was scheduled. He easily handled the bathroom repair without a plumber but didn't have enough boards for the second scratch--despite the office & sales team inspecting it & having photos showing the required boards the day after the initial install over a month prior. I was told it needed an inspection before ordering boards (despite previous visits & photos), but they couldn't send anyone for a 10-min inspection for weeks. They also never advised us this step was needed--continuing a trend of poor communication & zero proactive planning. During initial install, the installer was highly unreliable. Not once did he arrive near the promised time, each day brought an excuse, & he often arrived after 12-1pm, forcing him to stay past 7pm. He gave unreliable estimates for timelines. He was clearly exhausted & struggling by end of day, raising quality concerns that show in the areas we're still trying to fix. He was nice & did decent work when not exhausted. When paying $13k for "super scratch-resistant" floors, getting quality installation & responsive communication shouldn't be this difficult. Things happen, but the added stress & constant schedule rearranging (while working full-time jobs) has been unacceptable. Their priority is clearly the next new project, not finishing ones already started. If you get lucky with a perfect install the first time, they're great; as soon as something isn't right, be ready to strongly advocate for yourself & refuse to settle for the "easy" fixes they offer.
