I ordered a few meats - and owner recommended that I go with a 2 meat plate to save money. So, I did. I ordered brisket and ribs. Both were soooooooo good. Many places claim to have awesome bbq, but in most cases, I leave feeling a bit let down. Not so with Texans Barbecue and Catering, Their food is the real deal. The brisket has an amazing flavor that gets even better with their delicious barbecue sauce. And those ribs...if you have dentures, you can devour these ribs without your teeth, haha. It literally falls off the bone. The staff are very friendly. They said hi to folks be name so I take it they have a lot of regulars. I have to figure out how to get up here more so I can be one of those regulars. I posted some pics of the place inside. It's small, quaint, but that aroma when you're walking up -- you know you'll be in for something magical. Absolutely love this place!

The homemade potato salad was being made when we arrived and it was fabulous, the pintos were just as good. My wife got the yams and they were incredible as well. Did I mention the sliced beef and the homemade sauce? Worth the short drive off the beaten path. Highly recommend and will be back as soon as we are back in the area.

They do have fans and a lot of covered seating. There is also a hand wash station and a unisex porta potty for a toilet. After looking over the menu on the wall near where you order, we both chose burgers, the Mushroom Swiss and the Spicy Jalapeño Bacon Cheeseburger. Neither came with lettuce or tomato which was a little odd. My spicy burger was loaded with tons of pickled jalapeños, thick bacon and supposedly cheddar but the cheese was white. Maybe they put pepper jack instead. A pretty good burger but only 1/3 lb patty. The lettuce was shredded iceberg and tomatoes were small. My colleague also added lettuce and tomato and said her burger was really good. We added a side of onion rings, these were thickly breaded and just ok. Cannot taste the onion its just so much breading. The burgers seem larger than they really are due to the large amount of toppings and they're just really tasty. Really didn't need to order the onion rings. Service was very friendly, I will give them that.

Pretty interesting place...a lot of memorabilia on the walls and the smell of BBQ was thick in the air. I finally got the ladies to recognize I was STILL there and waiting to order. Opted for the meat + two sides and selected the half-chicken with pinto beans and Mac & Cheese plus added a quarter pound of brisket. When I got home anticipation turned to disappointment when I sampled the meal. The best part of the meal was the Mac & Cheese, otherwise all I can say is thank goodness for BBQ sauce. The issues...smoked chicken was dry, the pinto beans just didn't taste good, and the brisket had zero flavor. So bottom line...I wasn't impressed and while it resembled "food" and was filling, it sure wasn't satisfying.
