Absolutely thorough examination, including a machine I've never been tested on that predicts eye health, and apparently will detect glaucoma four years before anything else. Clothing brands range from little known to fairly upscale designers, like Michael Kors, and similarly for shoes and hosiery. While I've found plenty of brands I barely recognize, every now and then I luck out with a Tahari jacket or pants, BCBG dress (especially in juniors), or upscale pair of designer jeans. Don't come looking for True Religion, but you can luck out and net a few good deals. Winners is an anchor store in Woodgrove Centre, which makes an excellent stop when searching for a separate, jeans, or shirt. Note if you're on the ends of the size spectrum, you will have far fewer options, and this is especially true for bigger sizes rather than small. Small and medium (for ladies) and medium or large (for gentlemen) get the most representation. Petites for women have their own section without a corresponding tall area, though sometimes you luck out and find the rare pair of tall pants in the ladies careerwear area. Because many items are overstock, remainders from last season or the like, I buy on the "check it twice" and "get it now" principles. Check every seam, button, and the like for defects. Always try clothes on because sizes sometimes are irregular, even more than usual. Return policies with Winners are easy and generous, but it's buyer be wise in these types of places. Second, don't assume whatever you saw on the shelf will be there next time. Winners doesn't have a website where you can order the shirt or pants you saw last week, and you may not find them again. The store doesn't feel like a downscale department store, as so many Sears now do, thanks to wide aisles, bright overhead lighting, and a care about the merchandise. You won't see clothes strewn about like a teenager's bedroom thanks to associates who actually ensure things stay tidy. The clearance (red tag) areas, especially around cosmetics and hair care, does tend to be a jumble of products on the shelf, but these are limited. Downside: Children's section for 0 to 5 (toddlers) is woefully slim and entirely weighted towards girls. The boys racks have next to nothing, and no shoes or accessories. Protip:

We walked around inside to pass time until closer to our movie start time at the Galaxy Cinema. Both are located inside the Rutherford Mall. London Drugs has everything from computer and electronics to grocery and beauty products to appliances and cleaning supplies but the pharmacy is the heart of their business. It has an interesting history behind it like how it got its name. The store was named after London, England, the home of Canada's King, George VI. Founded in 1945 it started off as a small drugstore to what they are now. We purchased some snacks to take home later. The shelves are fully stocked. She is consistently kind, professional, knowledgeable, warm, compassionate and incredibly attentive. She is also incredibly thorough. Whenever I am prescribed a new medication, she takes the time to explain it carefully, asks proactive questions, and diligently checks to make sure there are no potential interactions or concerns with anything else I am taking. She never makes me feel rushed - a rarity in today's fast paced world, and she is always patient with my questions. I asked some questions about I was choosing and he said I don't know anything. Then he made me walk all the way to the front of the store to pay for it when I still had other things to get so when he left, I told the other lady I would like to make a complaint about him and she just says oh he doesn't work in that department. Totally covering up for each other. The entire staff in this Walmart is East Indian. Horrible.

thought i did a review of marshalls, but could not find in search to check in. marshalls feels…read morelike a more polished version of winners, brighter lighting, cleaner layout, and way more organized. maybe 'cause it's brand spanking new, but the shoe section really stood out to me: every pair was in its proper box, neatly shelved, which made browsing way easier and more enjoyable. this newest location of marshalls is on the third floor of 798 granville street, corner of robson and granville, where winners used to be. honestly, i still don't really know what sets marshalls and winners apart in terms of merchandise, but it felt less chaotic. the vibe was calmer, and i didn't feel overwhelmed digging through stuff. major score: i found two zara dresses and a lavender body lotion that smells like a spa day in a tube. definitely a spot i'll be checking out more often.
