Every trip to The Bath Workshop is a joy. We got some product samples in a gift basket a year ago, and we had to go in to try them out. Dawn was very friendly, very helpful, and most of all, PATIENT with my then- eight year-old. I think we took three trips into The Bath Workshop last year before we moved away. We came back to visit last week, and even after not seeing us for a year, Dawn remembered us, and remembered what we bought last year! She's fantastic! I love everything I've tried there. I have been coming here for seven years and love it. I have sensitive skin and have never had a problem with these bath and body products. I have now created a vanilla scent and pumpkin/fall scent in lotion and scrub form. They have both been amazing and lasted for at least six months (the smallest sizes). I am a runner and love to use the scrubs after long runs on my feet. I have also used the bath balls and salts and they leave your skin soft and smelling wonderful. I love this place so much. Every single time we come to Big Bear we always go here. The owner recognizes us and is so helpful at putting together really delightful fragrances. It's priced really well too I can always get something for both kids plus they have so much fun putting together different spices and flowers and seeing if it works or not. The product is great as long as you don't care about the customer service. I signed up for the scrub of the month. It turned out to be more work than it was worth. I would say at least 5 of the 8 months I was singed up the scrub never came. I would wait and wait only to have to call and ask what was going on. I was told things like "oh I didn't know if you wanted it this month or not" and "your card wouldn't go through". A couple of time she even processed the wrong card number. You would think that if a merchant was having trouble processing a card they would make contact with the customer and let them know there was a problem. But nope. I ALWAYS had to call them. They are NOT big on customer service here. read more

Dawn is incredible!!! Me and 6 of my friends came here last month and each got a shower scrub. I personally was very indecisive and Dawn was super patient, helpful, and nice. I'm so excited I finally got to come here. Last year I had the misfortune of coming on one of the days they were closed. The woman working was very nice and informative. She gave me sample of the salt scrub which felt and smelled amazing. They have a lot of unique scent blends and you can make your own as well. I was sold when I saw they had a hogsmeade! I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd haha. I added pecan to it and it was great. The price of the salt is a little pricey but it is a fun and unique experience to get to make your own bath products. First I love the store and the products. We originally found them at thier other store while up in Big Bear. The massage oils are the best I have ever found! It is so good we drive all the way from Orange County to refill our supply when we run out. I was very upset a few months ago when I raced up there and got there at 4:50 pm and they were closed even though the posted store hours said they were open until 5 pm. I called and left a whiney message on the voice mail and planned trying to find another source for our love oils. The owner called me the next day to apologize and let me know they had to close early for a family emergency. She shipped the oils to me for free (overnight) and doubled my order and gave me a deep discount. WOW. I love family run stores and try to support them. I understand we all have tough days. To thier credit they took a tough situation and made me a life long customer. The owners, the product and the store are great. Go in for date night and try some oils and lotions. Bought a bath bomb, "snowflake or snowball" it started with snow. The sense of the bath bomb wasn't strong. It was a nice, neutral sense. It felt smooth, and relaxing. It is cut in half, either use half, or put the whole thing. It's a nice roomy shop in the village. The service was nice. I was on a weekend vacation, and I will definitely shop here again when I come back. read more

This might be my favorite store I've ever been to in my life. I spent over two hours in this small cozy store, and it was so much fun to design my scent and mix scents together. I'm really happy with my creations (e.g. "Fig kiwi green tea" and "tea rose green tea sunshower") They have 200 scents to choose from and something for everyone. Tons of products for humans and even some for pets! You get to choose your colors too, which is also fun. I got so excited I almost bought stuff to wash my cats... until I remembered that I don't wash my cats. The salesperson was extremely helpful and never made me feel badly for asking questions. This is my favorite place to shop in Big Bear! You can blend your own scents and make bath scrubs, perfumes and linen sprays! Dawn has been there both times and is so friendly and helpful. She is full of ideas and even remembered us from last year! I make a linen spray for summer that I use in my little suv. I blend the sun & fun scent with fig! It reminds me of using Coppertone as a little girl. Love it! I have been to the Claremont location but Dawn really makes the Big Bear shop much more fun! I've been having bad breakouts and within days I've seen a difference on my face. I love that you can also pick an essential oil to go in the products.
