The nail lady, Ashly is Amazing in her Nail Art. Renee does Phenomenal in Color,Perms,Waxing,Cuts etc. Alice is Excellent in Styling, Scissor Cuts, Fades and Braids. I got a terrific haircut today. I was going to ask the stylist to make me look like Brad Pitt. I didn't because they were busy, and there just isn't enough time in the day to complete such a huge task. So I just ask to trim it up and not to go too short like my last haircut. As a client who has gotten my hair dyed by the owner (I forget her name - long blonde hair) for about a year, I was extremely disappointed today and will no longer give her my business. During my last hair dye appointment, she could not blow dry my hair as she had clients immediately after me. I asked to schedule an appointment with her for a hair blow out, and she scheduled me for the following week. I popped in the day of when she opened to check when my appointment was (I live right around the corner and was nearby for coffee). She looked me up and down as if she'd never seen me before and said "you don't have an appointment with ME" only to check her books and realize I had an appointment a couple of hours later. My friend I walked in with commented on how rude she was to us, not even greeting us when we walked in. As I really needed my hair done, I shrugged the owner's bitterness off and showed up at my scheduled appointment time. When I came in, she put a cape on me and let me know she COULD NOT blow my hair out, as my hair is "too long, thick and curly" for her and would hurt her back. She told me if I didn't want my hair blow dried and completely straightened, I didn't have to get the service. I walked out before realizing I left my smoothie, so walked back in only for her to be laughing and talking about me to her frail-haired client. If you only service frail hair, SAY SO. And if you own a salon, carry yourself with basic decency - At the very least, wait until a paying client leaves the parking lot before you start talking about them. I will take my business down the hill if I have to, but recommend anyone with something different than frail blonde hair, look elsewhere for a salon. read more

Just rude! "Walk ins welcome" the sign says. Don't believe everything you read. I am a local that lives up here in Big bear and I walked in and was not welcome. Before I could even ask if there was a nail appointment or opening, she said she didn't have anybody to do hair. I let her know I wasn't in there to have my hair done. She said OK and went back to work as she was the only one in the building. The gal that was working made it extremely clear she was done speaking "to" me. Yes, I am a small business owner too. We greet with a smile, wait for the need to be asked instead of assume, and always answer politely and treat each guest as a friend. It just works well. The owner was not there. I wanted to surprise my wife and daughter (8) with new nails and toe work! Pedicure manicure? I think idk I'm a stereotypical guy I know..... Ashley was the BEST!!! Not only did she go above and beyond to help my 8 year pick colors and styles.... Which we all know how kids are indecisive!! I was a little frustrated but not Ashley... she was so patient and so kind even when my daughter changed her mind for the 5th time... I was so impressed!! They both had a wonderful experience! They are so happy with the work!! My daughter went home and FaceTimed everyone she knows to show off her new fancy nails!! First haircut in 14 months and it was no big deal in and out with a good attitude and pleasant conversation

Took less than 10 minutes to cut my hair. Was great. Seems I was a bit rushed but that's ok. I showed up unannounced for a walk in haircut. They accommodated me. So thanks ladies. I will be back. Maybe next time because I forget maybe offer to trim my sideburns or something to make it look clean because I need a woman's touch in all aspects so please any suggestions from you ladies I will take. I just moved to Big Bear and was apprehensive about starting over with a new salon. My husband and son went first to test the waters - loved their experience! Then I took myself and my two daughters. I got a shampoo and cut for the first time in too long - I feel beautiful again! She did exactly what I asked for. And my daughter's bob is so evenly and perfectly cut I can hardly believe it! Worst haircut I've ever had. went in for a simple buzz and had patches of hair not trimmed at all, neck wasn't lined up. Had to get a second haircut just to fix the owners mistakes. Maybe if she wasn't trying to be in such a hurry and finish in 5 min. She could have done at least a halfway decent job... not bashing just being honest, I shouldn't have to 'go back' period. I usually get my hair highlights in LA with the hairdresser I've used for years. But I'm leaving on vacation with no time to go to LA so decided to try someone in Big Bear. Someone recommended this salon so I made an appointment with whom I believe to be Alli. She cancelled my first appointment due to a "family emergency" and rescheduled me for today (Saturday)at noon. Due to pouring rain I got a leak in my roof. I texted her and asked if it would be ok if I came at 12:30 because I had to wait for my handyman. She said no because she'd squeezed me in as it was. She said to call her when I came back from vacation. Um, kinda defeats the point. So I asked if 12:15 was ok. She said no. So I told her I'd push back my handyman and I'd be there at noon. Without missing a beat she said it was too late because she'd already called and booked someone else in my spot! How would that even be possible in the stream of our very short conversation. Plus, I Asked if I could be late not told her I'd be late. Obviously she was lying and obviously she did not want to do my hair. Perhaps because she had squeezed me in due to HER previous cancellation of my appointment. I told her she needed to cancel the person she SUPPOSEDLY booked and make me the priority since I had no other option to get hair done for my vacation. Her response: "lol, have a good day". To say that I am stunned is an understatement. This woman is rude and unprofessional. I guess she's busy enough to think she doesn't need new clients and has the luxury of being able to be rude. She told me that she would call to reschedule. That didn't happen. I waited quite a while and scheduled an appointment which I had to cancel. Her absolute reluctance to rebook was evident when she said that her clients were booked three weeks out. She didn't attempt to find an empty slot. HACKED Boys haircut...Worst haircut ever by Allie, first of all she didn't listen to what I asked for, wanted it longer on top and she cut it all the same length. The back was completely uneven and had long pieces everywhere, I had to come home and fix it myself. Second the girl was very rude and had a horrible attitude. This is the worst salon I have ever been to. Never have I been treated so poorly by a business. I wanted to get my hair lightened- I have brown hair. The second I walked in, everyone stops what they are doing to look at me. not kidding. one of the ladies goes "what can I help you with" in a snotty voice. I was embarrassed at that point because everyone was listening to me. I said "uhhhh, I want to lighten my hair." and they replied with "that will take a long time, honey." I wasn't sure what to expect from this salon as I only recently moved to the area. I had my 2 year old with me and when we walked in all of the ladies stopped and looked at me like I was lost. I got a similar greeting as another reviewer. A snotty "what can we help you with. I said I wanted my hair cut so they pointed at one of the girls in the back. I maneuvered my daughters stroller over to the girls station and she again asked what i wanted. I repeated that i wanted a hair cut and that i was considering getting color in my hair. She immediately refused to do color on me because I had my daughter. While I can understand they might not like having toddlers in their establishment it immediately made me feel uncomfortable. At that moment I should have left but I really needed a cut. She seemed unsure of herself and also unsure of what I asked her to do. I ultimately decided on a straight short bob with the length an inch or two below my chin. I asked for no layers in the back but a little something up front to frame my face. What i got was terrible. After i got home and showered the mousse out of the horrid style she gave me I realized that the cut itself is HORRIBLY uneven. There is a chunk almost two inches longer than the rest right in front to the left of ny face. She did add layers, but only to the back of my hair (which I was specific about not wanting. The rest of the cut isn't much better. The only way to cover the mess she made is to curl my hair daily. Do not waste your time with this salon. They are unprofessional and you will not get what you came for. I only wish I would have gone in for a refund. read more
