What an amazing way to spend an afternoon! I came up to Big Bear for some R & R and decided this morning I needed some pampering. I called Elevations Day Spa and spoke to Madison who was great and scheduled me for 3 services (and lunch). They have a 3 services combo which I selected for $235.00. Definitely worth every penny! Kelly did my facial and my skin was vibrant and so soft. She explained what she was doing and the products she used. It was obvious to me she is well trained and a true professional who loves what she does. Rita did the most incredible detox body wrap. She used a body brush to remove the dead skin cells, applied the herbs and wrapped me up. While I was wrapped she did an magnificent neck and foot massage. She had me feeling so relaxed and at peace afterwards. Lunch was next with a yummy BLT sandwich (or whatever sandwich you choose) and tea. Linda was super nice and did a top notch pedicure. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and did my pedicure like the pro that she is. Thank you ladies! I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Big Bear. read more

I am grateful that Karina was able to fit me in last minute for a pedicure on a Sunday morning. My regular place in Los Angeles closed and I've had a hard time finding a good spot. I normally like trying different therapists because I enjoy experiencing different techniques that different therapists use but I'll definitely be requesting who I know from now on. Irene, Izumi, and Rae are fabulous. Kelly did my brows and she did a wonderful job. Siri did my massage this last time. I would equate it to the same pressure as a massage chair. No knots were rubbed out or even touched. Really seemed like she wasn't in tuned to what she was doing at all. No cover for the face-rest. She put actual tissues over it instead of a cover or towel so they stuck to my face when I flipped over, left the light on for half of the massage and then covered my face with a tissue when I flipped over on my back. Tracy Felix is your girl for hair! She gives the most meticulous, thorough haircut I've ever had. Other hairdressers just chop but Tracy spends a good 30-40 min giving you the perfect, beautiful cut! Not quite a real spa, very small and tight place, hubby insisted on checking it out since we had nothing else to do. He got a 90 min. massage, I got gel mani & pedi. There was no place to shower, not a good idea to get a massage if you ask me, he got all oily and sticky..... My nail tech was friendly, she was somewhat thorough, did an OK job. The gel colors were very pretty, very good selections, I always pick pinks! Since it's not like a real spa where we can use the facility for steam rooms or jacuzzi, shower and get ready, don't think we will be back again. The service rates are a bit cheaper though. They use Aveda products which is nice, and they offer organic tea. read more

Let me just start by saying that I am a total massage snob. Ive spent several years of my life working at a spa, with amazing massage therapists. Jonathan is no joke when it comes to massages. This man is a true healer. I came up to big bear for the weekend with my gf who booked this massage for me and I can't say how grateful I am to her for doing so. This by far has been one of the best massages I've ever had. My only issue was that we I didn't have more time booked out with him. My gf booked us 90 mins but something got mixed up with the scheduling and we only ended up with 60 mins. I'd drive here from LA just to see this man. read more

The spa is small, but has everything that you would need from a cozy resting area to great high end beauty and wellness products to shop from. I was in desperate need of a facial. Being up in the mountains for 5 days completely changed my skin to very dry. Regardless of all that, I still needed some TLC for my aging face. I called to inquire about a facial and if they can fit me into their schedule. Thankfully, I was able to get a mini-facial (30 mins) scheduled. Madison was so patient with me on the phone and super informative. She was even more helpful in-person (when I came in for the appt). As soon as I arrived, she had me fill out paperwork and offered me tea or water. The tea sounded lovely, so I went for that. Within minutes, my aesthetician, Kelly called me back. She helped relax me pretty quick. Her treatments started and I was in heaven the entire time. I could have gone through this treatment all day. Though it was a facial, I still got my neck and my shoulders worked on. It was incredible! Kelly even did a few extractions, which were totally necessary. Ahhhh, I wish I had an hour, but 30mins was perfect for what I needed. Now, I just need to exfoliate 3X/week. Thanks for the reminder. Once the facial was over with, Madison (in lobby) helped me with some facial products. All that + the mini facial was under $100. Great deal, wonderful service, easy-to-find location! read more

I just had the most incredible hour and a half massage with Rae. I feel so healed and rejuvenated! Her touch was just perfect. I wish I could say better things about this place. I was celebrating a big birthday and decided to splurge on the higher prices for services than I usually pay in my home town. I was really disappointed. The atmosphere of the place is nice and the people are too, however, the services fell short. I had a facial and the Foot Bliss. The facial was just fine and my skin looked at felt good, but for $100 I expected more. The Foot Bliss, I'm sorry to say, was anything but blissful. I was looking forward to an hour long foot massage and what I got was an hour of what was not very good reflexology during which I could feel her nails digging into my skin the entire time. None of the massage part felt good, and I hesitate to even call it "massage." I almost stopped her half-way and said "I'm good" and walked out. The part that felt the best was the hot towel wrap, and that is definitely not worth $100. I didn't want to write a negative review but really feel taken for the $200 price tag and was disappointed to spend my birthday that way. Not sure why this place got so many stellar reviews, they must have had different people perform the services. As an aside, my sister had a shiatsu massage by a German woman and said it was great. They are probably all independent contractors. read more

My 4 friends and I went to the day spa and we had a wonderful experience! Wow what a gem to find tucked away in Big Bear. From the moment you enter the spa, you are welcomed by friendly staff, offered tea and water, and take in the aroma of essential oils. The massages themselves were amazing although one of us was a bit disappointed by her massage. The other four of us were gushing about our masseuses because we felt so satisfied and relaxed! My masseuse was named Haley who gave me a prenatal massage. She was excellent and I would recommend her to any pregnant women who are looking to relax and pamper themselves. One friend also had Haley as her masseuse for a regular massage and she said she ended up falling asleep because the massage was so good. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star review is due to the one friend who didn't have an amazing massage like the rest of us. She didn't catch the name of the masseuse. My friends and I were in town for a relaxing weekend, and they were more than able to accommodate all four of us for appointments at the same time. We are all regulars to spas (facials, massages, etc) and we all agreed this was the BEST spa experience we have ever had. The women were amazing, and the TEA IN THE LOBBY...you'll have to see for yourself. To top it off, the skincare is unreal. I purchased everything the women used for my facial, and not because I was pressured into it, because I asked!!! They do not carry the streamline products and brands, which is really nice. My wife and I came up to Big Bear for the weekend after snowboarding we decided to get a massage. So we looked up on Yelp and found Elevations. We called and booked an appointment. We decided on a 60 minute couples massage. My wife got Zumi and I got Irene as our masseuse. They both asked if there were any body parts that we wanted them to focus on, I told Irene my ankle lower back and shoulder were sore. Irene gave me the best massage I have ever had. She focused on the parts I mentioned and almost every second she was massaging. My wife also said Zumi was great!.We want to thank you both and we will be back. We highly recommend this place. Do NOT go here for hair or makeup! I was given information on this location as a recommendation from a friend of a friend of a friend. Well, bad recommendation. I made a 2 hr appointment for a "wedding up do practice run", I drove the 2+ hours one way to get here, then all she did was fluff my hair and say "yea, I can do it". When I asked about actually doing it, she wouldn't, that's not what this appointment was for, I'd have to make another appointment. Next came the makeup...not horrible, but not so great. Not to mention if you have fairly sensative skin like I do...I'm now breaking out like crazy 2 days later. I don't know if they use cheap makeup or what, but this was an all-around bust. They may do great at massages or facials or whatever, but NO HAIR OR MAKEUP!!!!! Not to mention when I called in to ask for another appointment, one of the first things out of the receptionists mouth was "well, you're more than welcome to try other places"...huh?!?! At least the owner was mostly nice and somewhat reasonable...but unfortunately, from this ONE expierience, there will definately not be a second! read more
