The dining room was pretty empty when we got there around 11am, but was packed with a long line for seating by 1pm, so get there early! They also accept credit cards now. Breakfast highlights included fantastic french toast made with Italian bread, and made-to-order omelettes and waffles. My group's favorite lunch options included stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and peppers, white fish, and roast beef. I was happy with the meatless options, such as surprisingly creative salads - creamy sweet potato salad, coleslaw, and feta cheese pasta salad. Of course, a good buffet is measured by its dessert bar and Rustic Lodge does not fall short. Pies are definitely the specialty and I especially loved the old fashioned coconut cream.

We approached Emily about the party of 30-40. We ended up with 40. We selected 4 appetizers; bacon wrapped scallops, bruschetta, meatballs, and crab stuffed mushrooms all were fantastic. We had 3 choices for entree selections that came with salad or soup. My cousins wife and I were talking about the soup hours later. And the meals came out hot and perfectly cooked and seasoned. We can't say enough nice things about Emily and the waitstaff for our party! We kept bringing up issues and Emily handled everything with such professionalism that we felt confident things would go well. They accommodated our handicapped, special needs, and allergen sensitive guests in a way that was appreciated by all and seamless and unnoticeable. We all had a very wonderful time. Very thankful for the team at Meredith inn.

It manages to be quaint and inviting, but absolutely stunning at the same time. The food was wonderful, the scones were honestly the best scones I've ever had and they make everything on site! Not to mention the presentation, the tiered serving trays? The different pieces of vintage china settings? The crystal goblets? Omg, take me back to the days of dreaming of having a tea party like this! My inner child is jumping up and down! This venue is small, but the perfect size for a more intimate gathering, my party was 22 people and we fit just fine. The waitress was adept at explaining the tea flavors and describing what was on the serving trays as they were set down, and the owner, Sherry, was a joy to work with. Her friendly and professional demeanor helped assuage the stress of throwing an event, and her contracts were well drafted and easily understood. I can't wait to go back in my own time just for lunch and tea! Once again, I highly recommend this lovely tea room, whether it's for an event, a luncheon or a princess party, I will be telling all of my friends about it.
