Ramada by Wyndham Indiana - Halloween party

    Ramada by Wyndham Indiana

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS -- Health hazard, completely unsafe, and totally unacceptable…read more We checked into the Ramada by Wyndham in Indiana, PA for a work trip and wound up leaving almost immediately -- this was, without exaggeration, one of the most disturbing hotel experiences we've ever had. The property is completely falling apart. The hallways were unbearably hot -- it felt like well over 100 degrees just walking to our room, and it wasn't even hot outside. That's because the windows lining the hallways face inward toward the building, and all the air conditioning units are venting directly into the enclosed hallways. The air was thick and suffocating. Surely that must be a fire hazard, if not just wildly unsafe for guests' health. Everything was filthy -- stained carpets, scratched walls, broken railings. Our room reeked of stale cigarettes, mold, mildew, and cat urine. The carpet was heavily stained, the walls were drawn on, and there were roaches and signs of bed bugs. We left without spending the night. Unfortunately, we had a package being delivered to the hotel, not realizing we'd need to leave so quickly. We tried to call the front desk multiple times -- no answer. We drove all the way back, only to find the front desk worker outside smoking, while the phone was off the hook inside. Completely unprofessional. The building is not secure in any way. Due to the extreme heat and poor ventilation, windows and doors were propped open all over the property, making it feel completely exposed and unsafe. We even noticed abandoned rooms through the hallway windows -- empty concrete shells with no flooring or furniture, just dark and deserted. The pool area was carpeted -- yes, actual carpet around the pool -- and it was damp, musty, and covered in visible mold. The furniture was dirty, the air reeked of mildew, and the entire setup felt unsanitary. The gym was equally horrifying -- every treadmill was broken or ripped apart. This hotel is not just outdated -- it's a biohazard. The fact that it's still operating is beyond comprehension. Shame on Ramada and Wyndham for continuing to put their name on this property. I wouldn't feel safe being in this building for five minutes without a hazmat suit.

My boyfriend and I went to see his mother in Indiana, PA. We decided to get a room and come home…read morethe next day. We saw the Ramada by Wyndham and decided to stay there. Having grown up in the area he was familiar with this Ramada. While checking in he was carrying our little 10 pound dog, Gracie. The clerk said there is normally a fee for dogs but since she is so little I'm going to wave the fee. We were told to park at the rear of the building to enter near our room. We got to the back door and realized we didn't need a room key to enter, the door was broken. The odor was nasty coming into the building. We went down to the bar and had a couple drinks and an appetizer. After listening to the band for a while we decided to go back to our room and take a shower. The water in the shower never got hot. It didn't even get warm. The tub was also dirt (I have pictures if you care to see them). I was sooooo disappointed with this Ramada. It was dirty, stinking and no hot water. The next morning while waiting to check out the woman in front of us complained about no hot water. The clerk said yes, we have been having a problem with that. Wouldn't that be something to tell someone prior to checking in. It wasn't until later that I noticed we were charged the $30.00 for the pet fee. The first charge was for the $155.40 and than another $30.00 for a total of $185.40. He never looks at receipts. When I saw he paid $185.40 for that nasty room I was mad. I thought well at least I'm going let you know how I felt. I wish we would have just drove home.

I absolutely love this spot in Homer City! Their seasonal drinks are very creative and delicious,…read moreand every drink is less than $10 which is amazing for a graduate student! There's tons of drink options so there is definitely something for everyone and the staff there are very friendly. I love that this place also has another big room apart from the bar with lots of game options like darts, pool, cornhole, etc. I've been to Disobedient Spirits a few times now and it's usually empty every time so you pretty much get the whole place to yourself. I definitely recommend checking this spot out if you are in the area!

The day shift employee-manager is the worst, worst, worst representation of a great product that I…read morehave ever experienced. She replied with bad attitude, short answers to questions, and no friendliness whatsoever. She kept playing on her cell phone rather than helping us (owner check the cameras). I had to advise her, "You seem to not give a sh#t if you do or don't sell anything (liquor) here." I come here from out of state and this was the second time I've had this experience with her. The first time was in July-2020 with my son. He and I both left without spending one dime and my son swore he'd never return. I, however, tried again with my wife the afternoon of Friday November 13, 2020, and we both had the same experience with the manager. This time, I spent $300+ (receipt attached) but swore I'd forewarn all other YELPers considering a visit. I concluded this employee-manager MUST have a 'connection' to the owner, as NO right-minded business person would keep her around otherwise.

Discovering this venue in a Google search for That Golden Girls Show performances close to…read morePittsburgh. I was quite pleased with the search result finding it's an hour drive from where I live & that the performance was reasonably priced compared to other venues 2 or more hours away. This performance was held in the Toretti auditorium of the complex & it's a fairly amazing part of the complex hosting plays musicals & other smaller events compared to the Ed Fry Arena located on the grounds of the Kovalchick Center.    I loved how their seating arrangement was laid out in such a fashion making the viewing of a stage performance enjoyable along with a state of the art audio & lighting system making for a enjoyable showtime experience. I was very impressed with the puppetry design as it looks like Jim Henson created them himself & the acting by the cast was great & a wonderful tribute to the show. I found it very funny that a guy played Dorothy & was like how Epic was that when he came out on stage. All I have to say is this was a Golden moment & will come back here to spectate another show either here or the Ed Fry Arena. Until Then Thank You For Being a Friend now I got to travel on down the road (to Dean's Diner) but I'll be back again. Be sure to like on FB & tell friend https://www.facebook.com/kovalchickcomplex/

Cushioned seats are wonderful especially when you don't know how long you will be there. There was plenty of leg room and I didn't feel squished. Bonus was the cup holders which was great for my little guy and keeping his cup off the floor which minimizes spills in my opinion. I would definitely be interested in coming back for another event.
