Such a unique place. This is privately owned and has a pier (part is closed off due to damage from…read morea 2018 storm), a restaurant, an ice cream shop/coffee shop, and an outdoor tiki bar. Not sure about parking as we walked here. It wasn't very busy when we got there, but slowly had people coming in and out. Lots of locals. We started in the High Tides lounge which is upstairs and has indoor and outdoor seating. Super cute decor. Had an Island Escape margarita which was absolutely delicious - no marg mix here! Just fresh squeezed juice and it was great. Also had a Mai Tai that was tasty too. Ordered a BLBT (which is super extra bacon - but also a ton of lettuce and tomato) and a fish sandwich of some sort (something local Carolina). The BLBT didn't come with a side, but you don't need one! It's massive. Served on toasty bread. Delicious, highly recommend. The fish sandwich came with pasta salad. Again, a healthy portion. The menu isn't extensive but you will find some great options on there!!! Bartender was lovely! Shout out to Amy. She was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. After eating, went outside to the tiki bar that was on the actual pier. Ordered more drinks - another marg, an orange crush (it's sweet), and an electric lemonade that was meh. Get the marg!! They even do frozen drinks which are great while sitting on the pier above the beach. Great scenery. Again, service was great. Britta and Haley were our bartenders. You can order the same menu at the tiki bar as you can at the lounge. Super nice to have options to move around. The pier even has picnic tables for larger parties.

Make this a priority on your list of places to dine while in this area. Just superb. They do have…read moretheir own little parking area too so don't have to pay. They have a terrific waiting area as they are busy! They have a front bar and a back bar, as well as tables. We grabbed two seats at the back bar. Holly was our main server and she was a delight. Super friendly and attentive. She for sure added to the down home vibe that this place has. We ordered a margarita and another drink that was similar to a Manhattan. Both were great. Also grabbed a sangria that was good as well. Started with the chicken satay and it was great. Highly recommend this. Comes with 4 and the slaw and sauce were amazing. Ordered the seafood paella which was delicious and the burger. The portions are generous! Let me tell you that burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The bun - it was like a cloud. Maybe it was steamed? It wasn't heavy and it didn't take over the main star which were the two delicious patties with some fantastic cheese and then had caramelized onions with red peppers. This came with fries as well. Do not leave without getting this burger. It will ruin all other burgers you have ever had or will have. This is a no brainer! Get here.

Our service was quick and efficient! We snuck in right before the rush around 5:45 PM our server Kyra was wonderful! Her timing was excellent and her suggestions were spot on! She was friendly, efficient, and just added to the great experience that all four of us had! My husband and I shared the mahi special and something called Crete Beets ( spelled on the menu beats); both were absolutely delicious! The mahi was prepared perfectly and had a nice light creole sauce which they put on the side for dipping and the crab mac & cheese was delightful with asparagus that was cooked on point; not overdone and not underdone which I know in restaurants is sometimes difficult to do. The crete "beats" was more or less a charcuterie board of roasted purple and gold beats with the most delicious whipped dip and perfectly seasoned and baked pita some of the best I've ever had with olives and cucumbers, and pickled red onions! I can't really describe the dip and apparently it's top-secret because I asked for the recipe! Our friends ordered the beet salad with extra beets; shrimp Tapatio and a bowl of the soup of the day. All were delicous and there was not a crumb or a drop left on their plates while my husband and I were still eating ours! The soup of the day was a potato jalapeño cheddar and it did not disappoint! this seriously is one of the few consistent restaurants on the island! I'm still dreaming about my food this morning!
