Carpet in the hotel rooms are not clean at all (food crumbs, raisins, a nickel, etc.) and the room had lots of different bugs since there is a massive gap at the bottom of the doorway to the hallway. For a one night stay I personally saw at least six different bugs. I was going to report it at checkout, however no one was working at the front desk. The wifi was faster than a lot of hotels', and there's a little computer/printer setup downstairs if you need it. The bad: The only negative was breakfast. I was expecting a Hampton Inn type breakfast (which isn't all that impressive), but breakfast was pretty much just oatmeal, cereal, powdered eggs, and waffles or pancakes (I think it was one of those machines that makes them at the press of a button, but I didn't try it.). No bacon. No sausage. I also couldn't find any salt/pepper, so my "eggs" tasted even worse than expected. Good thing there's a Waffle House next door. The takeaway: If I return to Oak Mountain, I will most likely stay here. Pelham has limited options; and, of those options, I think this is the best choice.
