What a wonderful experience! All of the gown "whisperers" are so nice. I did not have any clue what I wanted, or if I even wanted a real wedding dress for my beach wedding. They showed me great options, and never once pressured me to buy one. Thankfully I found the perfect dress and I can't wait to wear it! BEST EXPERIENCE! I was so nervous going into my appointment. As soon as we walked through the door, the staff made that nervousness vanish! They make a point to not tell you the dress size because their dresses are from all over the world. They are great with all brides, but especially curvy brides. This place is a MUST to check out if you are getting married and shopping for a dress on a budget. I came here with a friend of mine who was looking for a wedding dress with a $500 budget. We walked in and the owner (Joelle) was absolutely wonderful. She was super friendly and asked all the right questions to figure out exactly what kind of dress my friend was looking for. After she got that information, she asked for the budget that we had in mind, and honestly, we thought she was going to point at a small rack somewhere that had a few shitty dresses on it. But she just pointed at half of the store and said that all the dresses in there were $500 or less! We were honestly mind-blown. Joelle helped my friend put on all her dresses and made sure she adjusted everything or held up straps to show us exactly what the dress would like after adjustments. It was a fantastic experience. One of the main comments my friend had was that all the dresses she tried on felt very soft. She said that other places she has gone to had dresses that had very hard fabric that felt itchy. She was thrilled that the Barefoot Bride's dresses were very different. We ended up finding a gorgeous dress after trying only 4 dresses! The retail value of the dress we chose was $2000 and we ended up getting it for $350. The store also has a cute tradition. They take a picture of your feet while you are wearing the dress and post it on their Facebook page. Joelle also gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. The place has convenient parking nearby. Definitely call and book an appointment before coming. The store doesn't do their own alterations, but they send you to someone they know and have referred people to before. Bottom line, if you're on a very tight budget for a wedding dress, and still want to find a gorgeous dress and feel pampered in the process, this is the place to go! read more

I was skeptical that there was a dress that was going to give me the feels out there. I tried a place that was what I think of as the "typical" bridal dress shopping experience. When I came to Barefoot, I knew it was different. This place is SO personal. Debbie connected with me and my mom and sister INSTANTLY. We discussed likes/dislikes and then looked at some dresses to pull. Debbie is like a wedding dress whisperer. She is looking and listening and determined to get it right. Not because of a sale but because she wants you to be happy. Her ability to accessorize a dress to take it to the next level is also so amazing. I found a dress in 30 minutes. I felt zero pressure. It was also an AMAZING price. $1,000 LESS than another dress I liked at another store. This place even changed my sister's mind! She said before we went shopping that she'd go online and get a dress. I've yet to visit, but my interaction with this place deserves a 5-star review. I live in Indiana and am traveling to Memphis for work. I emailed TBB on a whim to see if I could stop by to look at some dresses, and she replied almost instantly to ask my budget and size. I showed her pictures of my dream dress and she was honest - they didn't have any in stock - but she didn't stop there. For the last few hours, I've been getting emails with ideas on how to find my dream dress. Because I'm super particular, I've been really disappointed lately - but not anymore! This rating goes for Bridesmaid dresses. The wedding dress experience for both of my sisters was a dream and deserves 5 stars. However, Bridesmaid Dress sizing was WAY off for all bridesmaid dresses in my sister's bridal party. All dresses were several sizes too big. I was measured in the store and my dress still came in and needed to be taken in a FEW inches. The bridesmaid dress part of the store is new, and they have some work to do before it is as wonderful as the wedding dress experience. read more

Barefoot Bride is amazing. It's a smaller store, but when you schedule a bridal appointment, you get the store to yourself with your consultant. I forgot my consultant's name, but she was great! Very friendly and professional. She made me feel special and she offered advice and tips. I ended up going only once, and found my dress within the appointment time. They don't offer alterations there, but they give you a list of suggested places. I ended up going with an alterations place not on their list. I probably tried on about 10 different dresses in the time, which is plenty. I highly recommend Barefoot! read more

We came here a few weeks ago looking for my wedding dress and I absolutely love this place. You email them to get an appointment, their response time is great you hear from someone within 24 hours. The store is small not tiny but still has a ton of dresses to choose from...also the store is as cute as can be and has other things available like decorative hair clips and wraps...you know the extras. Nikki was our consultant and she was great she listened to what we liked and brought us dresses based on what we were looking for. We were open though to suggestions and ended up finding the perfect dress...one she thought I should give a shot. It was great because I felt I could be honest when I did not like something and so was she...which I appreciated. My mom and I spent 1 hour in the shop and had the dress and hair clip and were out the door it was so easy. The staff as well were super nice...everyone...helpful they were joining in picking out dresses for me. I highly suggest you give them a try this is less overwhelming than going to a place like Low's and a shorter drive if in Memphis, give them a try first! read more

Would you believe me if I told that finding my wedding dress has been the easiest part of wedding planning so far? It's all thanks to the Barefoot Bride. I went to try on gowns this Sunday, expecting to get a better feel for which styles I liked but not sure if I would find the right dress. Let me just say the Barefoot Bride exceeded my expectations in every way. The intimate, one-on-one setting with Nicki made me feel comfortable right from the beginning. I never once felt pressured to make a purchase or try on things outside my comfort zone. Instead, Nicki took so time to look through a few photos of styles I liked on my phone, took my measurements, and started pulling dresses. I was totally amazed by the quality of the dresses. Not one dress I tried on felt cheap or in bad condition. Everything was PERFECT! We found the ideal dress for me in less than an hour and way, way under budget. Truly amazing. Despite the amazing deals, the Barefoot Bride does not provide a bargain experience at all. Instead you get incredible service and gorgeous dresses to choose from. Words can't even begin to describe what I feel about this bridal shop. I was recently affected by the closing of the Alfred Angelo store in California. I had found my dream dress fell in love and ordered it and placed my deposit. Come to find out just 4 weeks later they were closing all stores and orders would not be made and delivered. I was in tears this weekend with the thought of having to find a dress again knowing it wouldn't be like the first one. After some searching I found the website for the barefoot bride advertising my dream dress in my size! I emailed the store and received a call back within 20 minutes. They were so sympathetic to the whole situation and so willing to help anyway they could... Well they had my dress and could ship it to Me! She text me pictures of the dress sp i could see it a verify thag it was in fact my dress.I was over the moon and broke down in tears realizing I was going to get my dream dress!
