She put a curse on us…read more We arrived at the Cordova location of Ivoryology following an earlier appointment at a different bridal boutique where our bride was close to 100% sure she had found her dream wedding dress. We committed to the afternoon appointment at Ivoryology to try on a few more dresses in order for the bride to be sure. Our salesperson, Bailey, gave our group zero direction on how the process would take place, she sent us all out to pick dresses only to quickly respond by telling us we chose the wrong types of dresses out of the VERY small handful we were instructed to choose from. The dresses that Bailey chose were far from anything our bride would wear but she was pushy about trying them on, which our bride graciously did even though the experience felt unpleasant, impersonal and a waste of everyone's time. Since the appointment was clearly going nowhere, and fast, the bride requested to cut the appointment short due to how uncomfortable we all felt. When the Maid of Honor very politely and honestly shared with Bailey that this wasn't working out and the bride was quite sure she had found her dream dress elsewhere Bailey's attitude quickly turned, loudly telling us multiple times that it was a CURSE to keep looking for a wedding dress after you believed you had already found "the one". She told us we were cursed at least fifteen times; we all wanted to crawl out of our skin and get out of there as quickly as possible. Bailey easily could have politely said that she understood and wished the bride all the best, but since she was not getting a sale she instead decided to ruin a newly engaged girl's wedding dress shopping experience. This store may want to try spending less time and money on its social media content and more on etiquette and sophistication training for its employees.

A few days before my appointment they reached out about what I'm looking for and then they incorporated what I said into what they selected for me at my appointment, and I think that is wonderful customer service. Liz was helping me, and she was the best ever! She was so kind, encouraging, and really listened to what I said about the dresses and would go off of that to select more she thought I would like. She made me feel beautiful and confident. I had the best experience here at Ivoryology and I will be recommending it to all future brides I know!

So, I've been seriously contemplating writing a review or not. I hate being rude. I hate it, but…read moreDavids Bridal keeps sending me emails about reviewing them, so I thought "why not." It was fun but unfortunately the beginning was not fun. At all. I booked my appointment at David's Bridal at the Pink Bridal show in July. My wedding is Dec. 28, 2018. I visited the table, but I knew that it was too early. They told me it wasn't too early and (urged* me to make an appointment, so I did. (When I say they urged me they told me that i could use the coupon for anything in the store and I didn't even have to try on dresses...which wasn't true). Anyways, I decided to actually try dresses on anyways. I confirmed the appointment 2 days prior and everything. I got there and immediately the lady at the front desk was really not-nice. She ignored us for about a minute or two (when I say ignore, I mean no smile, no speaking, nothing). Then she acted like she didn't want to be there and she would snap at things we asked and at her co-workers. Every time I've been to Davids bridal by myself people have been not nice to me or ignore me completely, and it just makes me really sad. Well, guess what? They didn't have a "stylist" for me. After she told me that there was no stylist for me, she made the comment "Your wedding is too far away anyways." I said nothing. Absolutely nothing. Here's the part that was interesting. It kind of goes off topic, but it makes the "we don't have a stylist for you" comment infuriating. I tried to do a "walk in." I just wanted to try on a few dresses just because. I didn't want a stylist. I just wanted to go in there with my mother and try some on. I asked them like a week ago if I could just try them on by myself and they refused saying "we want to give you the best experience and you have to make an appointment to get a stylist," but when I went to the appointment they still didn't get to help me. I just want to point out that when the lady asked the manager and the manager had her tell me "no" I was 100% completely understanding. I said that it was fine and I would come back. I've never been rude to a staff member, because I'm just too shy. Back to the day of the appointment that I had for about a month. I honestly cried. I cried *hard*. At my bridal appointment. I tried to hide behind some of the dresses with my mother and didn't make a scene because I don't like people seeing me cry, but it was just really hurtful that I kept getting snide comments from the worker at the front desk and then they booked too many people. I've always heard that you should be treated like a princess when you're looking for a wedding dress, but I didn't want to be treated like a princess, I just wanted someone to be kind to me *one time* in that store regardless of what I look like, how big I am, how I dress, etc. because every time I go shopping for something to wear for myself I've not been treated like I see all the other girls are treated. Now to the reason that I gave it 3 stars instead of 1. THANKFULLY, the stylist I had was INCREDIBLY kind. She helped both me and another bride and was so very kind to us. If it wasn't for her, my appointment would have been completely ruined, and I would have probably just gone home to be depressed and just cry more. This lady (she had bright red hair) was literally running to get us our dresses to try on. She was there for the both of us and she was incredibly respectful to myself, my mother, and my sister. Her great behavior, however; does not excuse the behavior of the lady at the front desk. When I went back I saw this person again. Once again, not smiling, not caring about anything, not speaking.

I went to find my perfect bridal dress, and with the help of Makayla, I did!!! She explained the…read moreprocess, then patiently helped me try on several dresses. I found the one on the second try, but we kept going. She told the truth about each one, and was so kind and helpful. I'm so glad I went here!

The…read morefriend had bought her daughter's prom dress in January from Lula's and was told that it would take 1 week for alterations. Thought it would be done with plenty of time to spare before prom. In April, a week and a half before prom, it still wasn't done. I have honestly never heard a more rude business owner on the phone speaking to a customer. It took a full 5 minutes for Lula and other store employees to even locate the dress after being given the name of the customer and a description of the dress. She kept making excuses for why the alterations weren't done, saying she had so many dresses to alter that they alter them in order of prom date. That's why this dress was bought in January, to avoid the prom rush! She also could not give an estimated time that the dress would be done, just kept saying "not this week, I'll get to it next week"- the week of prom. Not only did Lula not follow through on the work that was supposed to be done, but she was extremely rude and condescending when she was questioned about it. I will not ever be using this business and I will steer everyone I know clear from it as well. Completely unprofessional.
