Poorly kept store. Racks unorganized. Associates weren't available for help. I was put in a dressing room but never checked on so i had to walk through the store with the dress i was trying on on. The only reason I'm giving this store a 3 star review is because they are very outdated. My chip in my card is old and I typically just use tap to pay but the employee said they don't have it. They need to update there systems for the modern world. The other outdated thing was the store it's self. It had carpet and just mid 2000s feel to everything. I can absolutely see why the company is filing for bankruptcy. The customer service was terrible!! So bad I am writing this before I even pull off from the store. Instead of offering ACTUAL assistance or even offering to book an appointment, we were told on 2 occasions that basically they couldn't do anything without said appointment. But they were happy to approach us to tell us which gowns we weren't allowed to browse on the floor despite watching previous groups browse the exact same dresses. We promptly walked out the door immediately after that. And to add insult to injury, 3 employees stood around talking and on their phones behind the register the entire time we were there. Yet no appointment = no assistance whatsoever! SMH!Won't be back. I can not explain how amazing the staff was at this location. I had purchased a wedding dress online, big mistake, and it got lost in the mail three days before my wedding. I was panicking and having a total melt down because I had no dress. And we found out that they made this change when we contacted customer service. WE WERE SO SURPRISED TO FIND OUT THAT THEY CHANGED OUR WEDDING DATE WITHOUT TELLING US!!! IMAGINE OUR SURPRISE THAT SOMEONE ELSE TOLD US WHEN OUR WEDDING DATE SHOULD BE AND WHY THEY DECIDED TO SHIP ONE OF OUR BRIDESMAID DRESS BECAUSE THEY DECIDED WHEN OUR WEDDING DATE SHOULD BE. We contacted their customer service because each and every time we are at this store, they simply ask us to contact customer service and we are just so tired of being passed back and forth from the customer service and this store. If you want David's Bridal to dictate when your wedding date should be and when you will receive your dresses, then this store is perfect for you. I love this David's Bridal location! They are so sweet and helpful. They first helped me pick out a bridesmaid dress when I was 8 months pregnant and HUGE! Then, after having a baby, when I decided I wanted a different silhouette, they helped me select a dress that would fit the bride's wishes and arrive in time for the wedding I was participating in. This made all the difference. I felt beautiful in my sisters wedding even though I was 3 months postpartum. I think I am done with bridesmaid duty for a few years, but if I needed a formal dress for another event, I would still come here. I loved my dress when I got it. It was held by clamps to give me a preview of what it would look like altered. I go in to get it altered and everything seemed to be going ok, my measurements were taken and straps were added, so I could take them off or add them on if I wanted a bit of extra support while dancing. Then I come back for a follow up appointment which took place two weeks after the alterations. My friends could barely get me in, telling me this didn't seem right at all. I was scared and felt so sad. I gasped at the realization they took in the bust SEVERELY. When I specified that I only needed the waist taken in for the sizing SLIGHTLY. I was clear. I am an E cup and that was not taken into account at all. My two friends and future mother-in-law just stood there in shock as the seamstress told me there was 'nothing she could do' and that the only thing she could do was take it out a bit in the sides. It was horrible. She did nothing to make me feel better or tell me she could fix it, I felt gaslit to say the least. That somehow it was my fault that my breasts are too big and this was my mistake. Then a stylist came in with the manager but it was really strange the whole time, just telling me I needed a different dress, trying to deflect the terrible alteration job. (that was pretty expensive) She helped me find a whole different dress, telling me I was trying to make my previous dress 'into something that it's not' and that my large bust was not meant for that dress. No discount was offered, no refund, no thought to me or my mother-in-law or the humiliation I felt as that seamstress just kept saying she couldn't do anything. The dress was 799$ and the alterations were 350$. On top of that I had to purchase a new dress at 399$. My wedding is in early May and I hope I can find an alteration place that will treat me like a human being. read more

If you're a bridesmaid like I was, they are very helpful in getting dresses sent to that location and they offer great alteration services. I have no problem with making a profit. However when you (as an employee) are repeatedly and forcefully pushed to sell sell sell, regardless of the bride's circumstances, it can be quite disheartening. I was an Alterations Manager for Davids Bridal for 4 years. I thought it was my dream job. I love to sew, and I love people. I am so disgusted with Davids Bridal that I would live under a bridge, and eat out of dumpsters before I would work for them again. read more

While dress shopping, I went here on a lark, thinking since I see their commercials so often I should at least look at what they have. But I figured I sure wouldn't find anything I liked here, I mean they're a chain location and they always advertise $99 wedding dresses. Surely everything will be ugly! I couldn't have been more wrong. I called and made my appointment and from the moment I walked in the first time just to look, everyone was super wonderful. I couldn't believe all the selection, and how gorgeous some of the dresses were! There was one dress (in the super expensive section - of course) I found that I really liked. So I made a note of it and kept looking elsewhere. I even went to this bridal place in Arkansas everyone told me I had to go to. Everything I saw I kept thinking how nothing I saw was as pretty as the dress I saw at David's. So I went back and tried it on. It was love at first sight. I knew at that point I had to have it. Aww, crap. Even though my wedding is super low key (we're talking half a dozen people - including the groom and me), I guess it's important for me to have a dress I love. I'll only wear it once but I can look at the photos forever. I'm still in love with the dress and like I said, through every step, from when we first went in to look to the day we picked up the dress, everyone was as friendly as can be. If you're getting married, you owe it to yourself to at least look there and give them a shot. Ok, I'm so not a girly-girl, but in trying on wedding dresses, I wanted a particular experience. I did not feel like David's Bridal was the best fit for me. It sort of felt like I was on a conveyor belt. The day I went, the consultants had a bunch of women they were dealing with at the same time, and it did not feel like I was personally being taken care of. BUT, it was a good place to get some ideas for dresses. I started my shopping here and it was a good baseline for someone like me who rarely wears formal dresses. Meh, so I found my dress somewhere else. Where David's Bridal kicks butt is in the bridesmaids dress territory! I had five bridesmaids, and only two lived in town. The other three were in three different states. The cool thing about David's is that you can pick a bridesmaids' dress and it can be shipped to any nearby store. So, all of my girls were able to get their dresses in a timely fashion, and they all looked awesome in the dress. I was impressed I was able to find a dress that was flattering for all of my bridesmaids, since they are a range of shapes and sizes (like most women). Even better, the dresses are really affordable for something you *might* wear once more. My bottom line: Great starting point for wedding gowns, and perfect for bridal party wear. And I've got to hand it to the "consultant" who helped me - I told her I was going for a cheap dress, and not to waste her time on me if she had other, less thrifty brides, and she was still polite and helpful. I got my dress for my wedding at David's Bridal. I wanted a very (I stress very) low key wedding. In fact, it was just my husband and I, the officiant and our photographer. I didn't even want to bother with a dress, I much would have preferred to wear jeans. I just don't see the point of spending a boat load of money on one day. There's too much weight put on that day when so much can go wrong. Plus, I wanted a marriage, not a wedding. I digress, I was forced by my mother-in-law into getting a dress. I was dreading it. I assumed they wouldn't have anything to fit my fat-ass on their showroom floor, and we went a mere week before our nuptials. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy they made the whole ordeal. Sure, the dude was shocked when I told him my wedding was in a week. I think he may have shat himself a bit before I made sure to pull him aside and tell him this was not going to be an ordeal. I told him what styles I liked, and that we were going for a vintage, courthouse wedding vibe. Wouldn't you know that the very first dress he wrangled me into (WHAT a freaking ordeal! Why did no one ever warn me how stressful it is getting into wedding undergarments!?) was the one. It was totally not what I had described- it was long (I wanted t-length) and had a train (not a long one, but a train nonetheless) and had little jewels around the haltered collar. When I walked out of the fitting room everyone around me cooed and ooh'ed and ahh'ed their approvals. Complete strangers. This kid (who looked to be about the ripe age of 21- and gay as the day was long) knew his wedding dresses. He also helped me decide on a fabulous birdcage veil (which saved me from having to make mine at home- which I had fully intended on doing), jewelry, shoes and a little faux-fur wrap. It was gorgeous, it was beyond my expectations and I felt more beautiful that day than I ever dreamed possible. All for $400 bucks. Beat that. I dare you. If you are getting married, I suggest you visit David's. They have quite a selection, and don't judge by their online selection. I really enjoyed myself today inside David's Bridal with all the beautiful wedding gowns hanging around waiting until the perfect bride to try on a dress. So, many different designs and designer gowns anywhere from A-Z with all colors, shoes and accessories. Make sure before you leave the store ask about a makeup artist because a bride is not complete until her face is beat. This store is across from the Wolfchase Mall on North Germantown Rd the workers inside are very friendly and helpful. If you need a gown this is a great place for the wedding attire & party...its not a certain limited of dresses you can try on as many as needed. I am NOT a fan of David's Bridal. I've been to 3 different locations and it's all the same. It's like a factory. If you get attention from one of the sales staff, it is only for a few minutes before they run off to help someone else and you are trying to track them down. The first time I went, the lady started with shoving a catalog in my hand and told me to look through and see what I like. So I came in the store to look through the catalog? Then she ran off to help other customers. I was done for about 15 mins before she came back over and said, oh are you done now? She took the book and pulled the dresses and put them on a rack, some of which were not in my size. She showed me to a dressing room and left, she wasn't there to help me zip, snap or lace anything...when I peeked out the door for help, she was nowhere to be found. I definitely felt unimportant here. Don't go without bringing a friend to help you get into your dresses. The only good thing about David's Bridal is the reasonable prices, which is the only reason I'm rating it 3 stars. If you don't mind the extreme lack of customer service, you can probably find a dress for you and the wedding party, shoes and accessories for a decent price. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at this location. I made an appointment through the website and Keke was my consultant. She was awesome! I was a little nervous/overwhelmed since it was my first time trying on wedding dresses, but she was super sweet and really put me at ease. She also provided me with a bustier and shoes, which I really appreciated. I had brought in some pictures of dresses from their website that I wanted to try on and she pulled those for me first. I tried all of them on and wasn't wowed, but then Keke pulled dresses that she thought might work. Of course one of her picks ended up being my dream dress. Since it was my first appointment, I didn't buy the dress on the spot, thinking it was too good to be true. After several appointments at other bridal salons, I just couldn't get that dress out of my head. So I stopped in to see if they would let me try it on without an appointment. The whole staff was BEYOND accommodating. They couldn't find the dress that I tried on so half the staff ran around to help look for it, I had at least 2 people help me try it on and talk me through everything (Rachel and I THINK his name was Chad - tall guy who was very smartly dressed), the alterations person came out to make sure I ordered the right size, etc., etc., I just cannot say enough nice things about my experience here!!! On Saturday, I visited the Wolfchase location and worked with Jamila to find my dress (again). I say again because I'd previously found a dress but found out that there was a possibility that it wouldn't be back in time to get altered for my wedding. Jamila kept me calm and worked very hard to help to help me find my dress. She was very attentive and helpful! I also had the absolute pleasure of working with Chad as well! So, I've been seriously contemplating writing a review or not. I hate being rude. I hate it, but Davids Bridal keeps sending me emails about reviewing them, so I thought "why not." It was fun but unfortunately the beginning was not fun. At all. I booked my appointment at David's Bridal at the Pink Bridal show in July. My wedding is Dec. 28, 2018. I visited the table, but I knew that it was too early. They told me it wasn't too early and (urged* me to make an appointment, so I did. (When I say they urged me they told me that i could use the coupon for anything in the store and I didn't even have to try on dresses...which wasn't true). Anyways, I decided to actually try dresses on anyways. I confirmed the appointment 2 days prior and everything. I got there and immediately the lady at the front desk was really not-nice. She ignored us for about a minute or two (when I say ignore, I mean no smile, no speaking, nothing). Then she acted like she didn't want to be there and she would snap at things we asked and at her co-workers. Every time I've been to Davids bridal by myself people have been not nice to me or ignore me completely, and it just makes me really sad. Well, guess what? They didn't have a "stylist" for me. After she told me that there was no stylist for me, she made the comment "Your wedding is too far away anyways." I said nothing. Absolutely nothing. Here's the part that was interesting. It kind of goes off topic, but it makes the "we don't have a stylist for you" comment infuriating. I tried to do a "walk in." I just wanted to try on a few dresses just because. I didn't want a stylist. I just wanted to go in there with my mother and try some on. I asked them like a week ago if I could just try them on by myself and they refused saying "we want to give you the best experience and you have to make an appointment to get a stylist," but when I went to the appointment they still didn't get to help me. I just want to point out that when the lady asked the manager and the manager had her tell me "no" I was 100% completely understanding. I said that it was fine and I would come back. I've never been rude to a staff member, because I'm just too shy. Back to the day of the appointment that I had for about a month. I honestly cried. I cried *hard*. At my bridal appointment. I tried to hide behind some of the dresses with my mother and didn't make a scene because I don't like people seeing me cry, but it was just really hurtful that I kept getting snide comments from the worker at the front desk and then they booked too many people. I've always heard that you should be treated like a princess when you're looking for a wedding dress, but I didn't want to be treated like a princess, I just wanted someone to be kind to me *one time* in that store regardless of what I look like, how big I am, how I dress, etc. because every time I go shopping for something to wear for myself I've not been treated like I see all the other girls are treated. Now to the reason that I gave it 3 stars instead of 1. THANKFULLY, the stylist I had was INCREDIBLY kind. She helped both me and another bride and was so very kind to us. If it wasn't for her, my appointment would have been completely ruined, and I would have probably just gone home to be depressed and just cry more. This lady (she had bright red hair) was literally running to get us our dresses to try on. She was there for the both of us and she was incredibly respectful to myself, my mother, and my sister. Her great behavior, however; does not excuse the behavior of the lady at the front desk. When I went back I saw this person again. Bartlett : I bought my dress, flower girl dress, and head band from here. Got a dress off the floor the lady cleaned it. But first she said she gets off at 330 and don't know if she'll have time. I might have to come back and pick it up. But after she seen my face she made it work. She brought me my dress to look it over their was a string I asked her to fix it please. She handing me the scissors and had me do it. That wasn't great customer service. Southaven : we were looking for bridesmaids dress and I wedding dress shopped here before I found the one in Bartlett. I love these people. So sweet and caring. Victoria, Chris, The manager is a doll. I went blank on her name. She just got married too though. LOVED THEM. I purchased a $150 headband. Then decided I wanted the birdcage. She said that's fine she'll discount the cage since they do buy one get one half off. yahhh that's awesome I'm happy. They were out of cages. But looked and Bartlett had 3. Bartlett : So we drove back out to Bartlett to get the birdcage and pick up my sisters bridesmaid dress we found in Southaven and they seen Bartlett had it in the right size. Felicia the manager wouldn't discount my $30 cage. She said no they have to be bought at the same time. I tried explaining to her the manager in Southaven was fine with it. And that I already spent over $1000 here and actually got my wedding dress, head band ($150) and flower girl dress here in Bartlett she still said no with the utter most "B" look on her face. So we left. Also a different day my mother in law went in to get her mother of the groom dress, they were so rude to her she just walked out and left. Bartlett really needs better customer service, should learn some skills from their sister store Southaven. And as for my folks at Southaven y'all did an amazing job. If I didnt need the dress, i would have left.The condition, the customers and employees were force to shop and work in were unacceptabe. Came here on two appointments as a bridesmaid. The first time was perfectly fine, our staff member was attentive and helped us find and figure out styles, sizes, and colors. The second appointment was... less good. Our consultant loaded us into a dressing room and then just... disappeared. I was there with both the bride and another bridesmaid, and we tried on several dresses, figured our stuff out, and left, not seeing our own consultant again. I got my bridal gown at a different David's Bridal three years ago, and this will be my third experience buying bridesmaid dresses from a David's Bridal. I didn't have an experience with a consultant quite that inattentive at any other time. read more

My daughter and I were prom dress shopping on Friday March 30th, we had already been to the mall and we did put on dress on hold, but we wanted to exhaust all our options. We were treated very well, and Rachel one of David's bridal stylists was very accommodating. My daughter is very tiny and everything we tried on was either a no go, or would require altering. We were nearing a decision and I asked Rachel if she could find something similar in style to a dress to large for my daughter...Rachel brought back 3 more, the 2nd one fit like a glove, and looked beautiful on my daughter, the price - unbelievably affordable, we were elated!! We walked out of the store with an entire outfit, dress, shoes and jewelry for under $200. Thank you Rachel, and David's bridal! We will be back for all our future needs!!! read more

RUNNNNN!!!!!!! Don't walk out of this store! Doesn't matter the location. The lower prices on the dresses are to bait shoppers in. If you choose buy from them -- get out IMMEDIATELY and have your alterations done elsewhere. I wish I could give NEGATIVE stars..... My experience: Dec. 29th, 2014 - 1st appt I had already picked out dresses via virtual showroom on DB.com - thankfully! Arrived and had an associate bring in the dresses I had ready chosen. She left, so I had to have my own mother, who should have been able to experience the initial oohs and ahhs, zip me into every dress. The sales associates present that day did make remarks on how beautiful I looked, but did not attempt to help. We ended up choosing a dress and ringing the bell, finally (and now regretfully), and after paying and ordering the correct size, left the store. Beginning of February: Alterations appt I had called and scheduled a fitting to have the dress altered to which the associate over the phone complied - no questions asked. I came in slightly early for my appointment with my parents, maid of honor, bridesmaid, brother, and two little nieces.....We waited 3 HOURS with no one bothering to assist us, other than to bring out the dress (mom helped me in that one, too). I sat around in the wedding dress while my guests wondered what the hold up was. I ended up walking around the store in the dress trying to find someone and went to the front to ask when my appointment would take place, since I was already scheduled. They hadn't even scheduled me for alterations!!!! They claimed I wanted to try on dresses, although I had already paid for a dress and ordered the correct size. They pushed the blame for their error on me and did not offer to fix anything, help out in any way, or make right their wrong. The associates just stood around, not helping, save a new girl who could not console us. After waiting 3 hours, we finally (mom and I, since the others left and went to dinner without us) got in, quickly altered, and rushed, making sure to charge us for 9 BUSTLES!!!!! Once I was out of the dress and beyond ready to leave, the told us they were glad they hadn't closed the last register for the night and that they had forgotten we were even in there! We were told the OUTRAGEOUS alteration costs, then that tax was to be added on top of that. I would NEVER have had alterations done there with such poor, irresponsible, and nickel and dining scheming that goes on at David's Bridal. March 9th (yesterday): Final fitting We go right in where, Felicia, apparently the store manager was with the alterations girl. After having reported out severe disappointment for the store's actions, were told she would be there and help fix our situation. She never once introduced herself or even recognized our names. Ridiculous. We went to the back and tried on the dress, which was too small up top (I guess I'll just have to lose a little weight) and poorly bustled with a major seam noticeably crooked. The solution by the incompetent staff AND store manager, just don't bustle that button - which we had to pay for. UNPROFESSIONAL, LAZY, WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE TIMES & RUINED MY DRESS SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. I considered giving this business 1 star because of my personal experience with them. I came in with my bridesmaids to try on dresses for them. Once the attendant confirmed that I had NOT purchased my wedding dress from David's Bridal, she was very rude. I can only assume that it had to do with commission? Anyhow, she offered very little assistance, and once we had picked a dress, we needed to order it because they didn't have the color I wanted in the store. After twice the length of time they stated to receive the dresses and SEVERAL calls to the store, they told me the week before my wedding that my dresses were on national backorder, and that they had no idea when they'd be coming in. Talk about a mess! They wouldn't call any other location to discuss them shipping from their store to a store in the area so we could get them that way. We ended up going to Macy's, spending a quarter of the price for dresses I ended up liking a lot better anyway. I would NOT recommend David's Bridal to anyone. I gave this two stars, because my sister in law bought her wedding dress from this location, and had a good experience. read more

I had previously had a pretty bad experience at this store, but I had to schedule another appointment there because I needed to actually figure out what size I needed to order the bridesmaids dress in, and I actually had to order the dress. I am happy to say that this trip was a lot less disappointing. The staff were much more attentive and things went very smoothly. So hopefully, they're turning things around. read more

I went to David's to get a bridesmaid dress and I found the whole experience to be just okay. The consultant was helpful when we asked for help finding things, but otherwise they just stood around staring at us while I tried things on. There were several occasions in which we would ask simple questions and would be answered with a tone like we were idiots for asking. Nobody bothered to ask neither mine nor the bride's names until I checked out. Very impersonal. I understand it is the bride's choice on what the bridesmaids wear, but at the end of the day, I am the customer who is purchasing a product--I would have appreciated being treated like a customer rather than a mannequin with a debit card. I would consider going back for future purchases, but it would definitely not be my first choice. read more

My future daughter-in-law and I went without an appointment to look at gowns for the upcoming nuptials and were greeted with a smile. We were assigned a very knowledgeable lady who helped Heather with each gown she had chosen to try. This was my first bridal gown experience, my mother made mine back in 1979, and I highly recommend going to David's. read more

It's funny to me to read some of the reviews posted about this store in particular. In my opinion those brides were probably pretty hard to please in every aspect. In any case...here is my experience. I have a home in Florida and am temporarily here for work until just before our May wedding back in Florida. So I started dress shopping at the David's in Tampa. And talk about a nightmare! They were just aweful, but my bridesmaid secretly gave them money for a dress when I chose one. So despite not wanting to go back to a David's I had to. So while in memphis I stopped into this shop. I started to explain my situation and how I just wanted to look around (not having an appointment). Immediately Chris said he would take good care of me and all my needs. Chris is the manager and he got a consultant assigned to me and began pulling dresses. Both he and his consultant doted on me and my bridesmaid. He made us feel like we were the only ones in the shop. We were laughing and actually having a great time during the whole process. On that visit we had chosen the bridesmaid dresses. On my second visit, again without an appointment, Chris and a consultant listened to all my "wishes" for how I wanted my dress to look. As well as the things my mama wanted for me. And by the end of that day he had picked out the perfect wedding gown that met all my wishes! All of the consultants in the shop came over during the process and would give their opinions as well. It was so enjoyable that I give this dress shop, Chris and all the consultants 5 stars! I had a situation that obviously rarely happens. To make a long story short, the store manager, Felicia, took care of the situation and was very nice about making this right. For this, I feel like I received good customer service. It started out rocky, but resulted in a happy ending. There are some great consultants there, also. I wish I could remember names. read more

Chris and Keekee at the Wolfchase store in Memphis were very helpful and patient. They help me find my mother of the bride dress.

I walk in around 6:30 for a fitting for my friend's wedding. They weren't busy and got me in right away. I appreciate the speedy service since I was tired from a day of work. There dresses do run big, I am a 6 and they didn't have a 8 in the store in the style the bride had wanted so I try on a 10 which surprisingly fit only a little loose. It was a very painless experience! read more

My experience so far with David's bridal has been very nice. I went in not expecting to find my dress and I ended up falling in love with one. The first time I went with just my sister on a Tuesday and made arrangements to go back with all my bridesmaids to look the following Saturday. I found the dress after trying on several and had to have it the first visit. I felt so guilty that my bridesmaids weren't there to help me pick it out so I asked if I could come back and pretend to be trying on dresses with all my bridesmaids there. The staff where extremely sweet in helping me with this. They picked out two other dresses including mine and put it in the dressing room like I was going to try all them on but I only put on my dress. There were tears from my ladies, which made it amazing. The staff where extremely sweet letting me try it on again for everyone and helping me pick out the vail to go with it. read more
