Expected proper customer service for the price point. One may ask, "did you ask for a fitting room"?", nope I sure did not. I've worked in CS before and it's your "job" to ensure EVERYONE that walks through that door is treated kind, with respect AND as a valued customer hoping they'd be become a repeat customer. With so many stores closing, people losing jobs and the store almost empty, they should have wanted that additional purchase to close their quota or go beyond for the night. Whether the people in store knows it or not, this economy is very fragile to offer this level of service. The front of the marker reads, "Lansky Brothers was founded in 1946 by Bernard and Guy Lansky with a $125 investment from their father, S. L. Lansky. The store began at 126 Beale Street as an army surplus store, but gradually changed to accommodate customers interested in a one-of-a-kind look. At the time, Beale Street was the center of the African-American social and music scene in Memphis. Bernard traveled the country looking for unique product. Sometimes outrageous, always years ahead of anything else in town, many of the items were made of bright, vivid colors and silky fabrics. Lansky Brothers quickly became the fashion headquarters to musicians and the clothes savvy, including B.B. King, Isaac Hayes, David Porter, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Rufus Thomas." And the reverse, "It was Elvis Presley who helped establish Bernard Lansky's "Clothier to the King" title and allowed for global recognition. Bernard recalls looking up one day and seeing a young man looking at his windows. He walked up to greet him and told him, "Come on in and let me show you around." We often find ourselves in one of their outdoor locations in memphis.. in search of something before or during summer.. and the occasional winter visit to find a good selection of men's gifts.. This time was as wonderful, if not more so, than our other experiences here. Daughters heading to camp, in search of some new chacos as hers were too small. They always have a pretty great selection of chacos, Tevas , outdoor sandals. We had excellent help and the sweet lady didn't tire of bringing out more options/color schemes and offering suggestions.. as my daughter is weird about shoe colors. She was also very knowledgeable about the product and sizes etc. lovely experience and we will back!! The young lady who checked us out was great too. I've been using Rocky for alterations for over two years…read more Rocky has altered dozens of purchases I made on eBay, including shirts, pants, and sport coats. Having used a number of alteration shops in Memphis, Rocky does the best job. His prices are fair and he has the clothing ready on the dates he promised. There is one more service that he provides that I find particularly outstanding: Rocky offers independent judgment. By that I mean he is intent upon making valuable recommendations. On multiple occasions, I wanted to have my clothes altered in a certain way and he gently suggested a better alternative. Doubtful at first, I followed his recommendations, and he was correct every time! In my firm opinion as an attorney who always want to look sharp, Rocky is the only person in Memphis to use.

But 32x32/34 is what is usually sold in store. This is my first time taking pants to get tailored and I was not disappointed. I did take my favorite chinos to Rocky and he was very welcoming and assisting . I had a lot of questions and he was patient and answered them and made sure i understood what will occur to the pants. Will definitely be back with more pants !
