I was helped by an employee named Denzil (I think I'm spelling that right) and he was not only exceptionally knowledgeable he was very patient and stuck with me for probably 35 minutes as I asked all sorts of questions because as I said - I have no clue what I'm doing. He demonstrated several leather craft skills for me and checked to make sure I was picking up the correct things I needed and that a couple kits I decided to buy had all the needed parts. The machines in there are HUGE and old but it looks really cool. Yes, COOL is the only word that come into my mind when I think of that. You can smell the leather and the radio plays country music. Little decorations on the wall and the little bench on the side if you want to wait are just part of the charm. Well, I went in there and explained him what has happened and he just fixed for me, for free. I was so amazed and the shoes has been fine since then. I went back with a leather purse, a real Louis Vuitton, with a strap problem as well and he actually had the perfect leather piece that fit in color as well as material. He explained to me that he buys left over scraps from factories so he could fix things like that. I paid something like 30 dollars for it and I can't say how happy I am. I have taken everything there. A belt to get an extra hole, shoes and purses. It's a great place, very friendly and not pricey at all. Sometimes it is worth to fix things and not just go and buy them new.
