i just started going here for about 8 months and i have had about 6 haircuts here. There was only 2 good haircuts and the rest were below average (like way below average). my latest haircut was a disaster. my part was uneven, the top was shaggy, and the barber didn't even clean up my sideburns. it was also a 5 minute haircut and no haircut should be 5 minutes. this happened for the past 2 times and i shouldnt have to come home and fix it myself. only gave 2 stars because the girl (idk her name) is a really good barber. definitely going somewhere else next time. really disappointed and now going to be wearing a hat for the next couple weeks read more

My husband and son have been going to this place for years. We have 2 regular barbers that we use, but on their off days we'll use others. Everyone is always friendly to us. I read a negative review in which someone implied that only older customers who were satisfied with bowl cuts would like this place. Too bad he had that experience, but lots of my friends take their sons there as well and neither my kid nor theirs have bowl cuts. I think his bad experience was related to his barber. There is really only one reason to come to this spot: Tony. Tony is a wonderful barber and a really likable guy. Every time Tony has cut my hair I have been a very happy customer. That being said, there are a couple other barbers here who have really messed up my hair. A pomp isn't really that difficult, and you really shouldn't even have to explain your haircut to a good barber. Remember back in the day when a barber could look at your hair and know how long its been and what your last cut was? If you only have 8 bucks this is probably your spot, but you might want to look around. read more

This place has been around since I was a kid and I've been going there on and off for about 15 years. The barbers are friendly and skilled and always good for conversation, all at a great price. Today my hair started falling out because I've started chemo so I came in to get my head buzzed so my hair doesn't end up all over my house. The cut was quick, clean, and my barber didn't let me pay for my hair cut because of my situation. If you're new, definitely give them a try. read more

I've had some bad haircuts but this was the first time Ive ever had to go to someone else to try and fix it. A cheap haircut isn't a cheap haircut if its so bad you need to pay someone else to try and fix there butcher job. Fade was completely uneven. Come on a barber who Cant even use clipers and give a half decent fade. So I went to this place because I saw the reviews and it was close to work. I am a hispanic man who likes a short tight fade and short scissor cut at the top. I was greeted by the man on the first chair and so he began. This by all means was the worse fade I have recieved. I should have known when he said he does not shave fade. The fade was low and the blending was crooked not to mention he left the blending puffy. The dude was nice BUT that was it. I have not gotten a bad fade like this in years. I hope he is new because certainly lacks skills. That air machine he uses does not make up for doing bad hair cuts. Go with the girl she may do a better job. Quick, efficient, and inexpensive. Staff is friendly, customer oriented , clean, and fantastic with kids. My husband and my toddler have gotten their haircuts here. I've been coming to this shop on and off since 2008. I moved back to Cypress in 2015 and decided to stop by for a haircut. From my experience this shop has several great barbers as I have seen plenty of happy customers pleased with their haircut. But my go to barber is the female who sits toward the center/left named Alex. In my opinion she gives the best fades in the shop. When cutting hair she pays attention to specific details. I always leave with a crisp clean haircut from her and in addition I have received compliments on my haircut from coworkers and people at the gym. No other barber shop I have been can match the quality of the haircut nor the price at the Barber Pole. As I noticed the prices here for a haircut remain fairly low compared to several shops outside around the area. So I understand the type of haircut I receive here would cost me more at most other barber shops. read more

YES, It is $8 plus tip! Sometimes they will have off days though. I guess it all depends on who cut your hair but there are a certain few barbers that will screw it all up! And you have to live with it for 3 weeks until you can pay another $8 to fix it. I have been going to barber pole for about a year now and I finally know who will do it right and who will get you to wear a hat for 3 weeks. Just choose wisely..they are not equally skilled. You gotta be real careful which barber cuts your hair. Some are decent, but there are some other guys here that are TERRIBLE. It's not worth taking the chance. Not only do they do a terrible job on simple cuts, but then groan, make faces and huff under their breath when you ask them to fix their shoddy work. Some of the barbers here are so miserable, they should do themselves and and their customers a favor and stay home. Your not doing me some noble honor by cutting my hair, I'm giving you business. It's a bummer to see businesses like this receving clientele in a terrible economy and treating the opportunity like some heavy burden they have to carry. read more
