For some reason I found this place very uncomfortable especially for women and children. I took my 5 year old there for a hair cut and the person who took us in treated us like he was talking to his colleague or someone he knows. I felt that he only cared about having one extra customer. I was standing there with my son because it was his first time doing a real haircut with a machine and that guy kept telling me "have a seat" without "ma'am" or "please" or anything he should be using with a client. He didn't even take into consideration that my son needed me there with him. So barbaric, I don't get it!!!! Then when I was explaining to him how I wanted my son's haircut he just didn't have that kindness to talk to customers, a smile, or good interaction. I think his name was Marcel. He was super rude!!! I am so shocked! Also, he was blowing at the machine to clean the hair, then put it back on my son, then blow the hairs with his mouth, then put it back on my son and kept doing that the entire appointment. I took my son to the house and immediately in the shower and kept scrubbing him! Disgusting! Why would you blow with your mouth on a machine that's touching a stranger? What if your saliva touched my son????? Then because he told me "have a seat" more than once I felt embarrassed and "had a seat". Then I was looking at my son, he suddenly started SHAVING HIS BEARD!!! He actually shaved those blond baby hairs on my son's face A 5-year-old's face felt rough after that shave just like my husband's face! I was so angry when I was putting him to sleep because no mother can stand feeling that adult shaved face feeling on a little boy!! I said I wanted an elegant haircut not a shaved beard! That guy literally doesn't know how to deal with women or children. Even when I wanted to pay with card he said I only take cash, there's an atm next door. No eye contact, no apologies, no professionalism. Sir, if you wanna "keep it cash" for taxes reason this is not my problem! No one carries cash these days! At least say "I apologize ma'am, I prefer cash, is it possible to pay me cash instead?" Omg his rudeness exceeds anyone's expectations!!! Why would an adult male talk to a woman with all that rudeness I don't get it. No kindness, no customer service. I would never go back to such a place! Also, they sent me an email to leave a review on booksy. I pressed on the link, I put one star and typed my review. For some reason the app did not take my review and kept asking me to schedule an appointment first although I already have and was sent a link to post that review!! A final message to all mothers... We will NEVER set foot in here again! Anthony cut my sons hair. When he initially walked in Anthony looked at him and didn't acknowledge him. Unfortunately he was the only one available.. my son should have followed his gut and walked out. Anthony ended up cutting hair and left it too long..went back 2 days later to have him fix and left it completely uneven. I had to fix. Worst part about it is he charged him an additional 15$ for him fix it on top of the 30$ he already paid him. I called to speak to him, he was so rude & disrespectful! He didn't offer they money back and told me my son gave me wrong information. They didn't have a manager/owner to speak too. So you are on your own with how things are handled. My husband got his hair cut here. The haircut itself looks decent. He needed a haircut really badly due to us being in quarantine for the last 3 months. Salons and barbershops have recently reopened, so we assumed they would be taking the best safety measures. Wrong. The barber didn't change his gloves between clients. Not only that, he used the same cover on my husband as the previous client, which contained the previous client's hairs. They also don't take card. Cash or Venmo. The Venmo wasn't even the barbers, it was set up to some lady's account. And it doesn't make sense to charge an additional $5 for having an appointment. We came in as walk-in at noon and had Juju take care of us . My son 6 years old and my self love to get shave 0 mid fades. This was my first time here and they had several walk in after us that where squeeze in between appointment. The Barbers took care of business and still where on top of all the walk in. They have a ATM machine all the way in the back of the shop in case you don't carry cash like me. Definitely found my new barbershop. My hair cut itself was well done. Mike did a clean, professional, and Timely job. While I believe ladies can get trims here too, the atmosphere leans towards the men. Posters of cars and women on the walls, and giant flat screen TVs play sports games. Beard trims seem to be a common offering too. My only real complaint would be the music played during my haircut. I don't mind R&B or rap at all, but this variety was not only very loud, but used profanity in every line. I don't know how ladies would feel getting their haircut with the B word being used every couple of seconds for minutes on end. If this is the music they normally play, this is definitely not a place for kids. Mike did a terrific job on my haircut, but I noticed most of the other workers there use lots of profanity as well. It just didn't seem very professional. if you're bringing kids, or that's not your cup of tea, be forewarned. The price was a little steep, but you're probably paying a little for the big screen TVs. Be aware they only take cash, and the little ATM at the back of the store charges over $2.00 for withdrawals. read more
