It's a really fun way to start your Saturday morning. She does 30 minutes of fun choreographed boxing and then 30 minutes of barre. I just tried barre sculpt with Janet K and I love her energy and attitude- she's funny, high energy, and really positive vibes that push you through class. I also tried Petra's yo-barre class on Thursdays and loved that as well. She does 30 minutes of barre followed by 30 minutes of deep stretching. I don't stretch enough so I really like her take of the yoga/barre combo. Katie's Monday night barre class is also amazing because she REALLY focuses on core. She is an incredible trainer and is so good at cue-ing your breath connected with your abdominals. Kim's step class on Mondays is SO fun. I was laughing my butt off because I was so uncoordinated. It's not only an excellent physical workout, but it works your brain a lot too. I love that Barreworks has grown and developed into so much more than a barre studio where you can still get barre, but also a lot more.

Main motivators in choosing PB were location, their robust schedule (especially the after work classes), and the style of classes offered. I love that there are 4 different and dynamic formats to choose from. As someone who can get bored with workouts, I've really enjoyed how unique each one is. But what really convinced me that PB was the right place for me is their incredible staff. This isn't your typical gym - this is a community that looks to uplift each and every attendee. From the front desk to the instructors, you can just tell they genuinely care about you and your journey through PB! Grateful for PB and I hope anyone reading this signs up for a free intro class to see what it's all about. So far, it feels life-changing!

The workouts themselves are challenging, effective, and something I genuinely enjoyed. After that, I signed up and eventually started attending classes on my own. As someone who was still new to barre, it took a lot of courage to go alone. Unfortunately, during two separate classes with two different instructors, I struggled to keep up. The instructors did help and reposition me, which I appreciated, but I continued to struggle, and in one of the classes, the instructor laughed, which made me feel self-conscious and discouraged as a beginner. While I understand classes can be lighthearted, in that moment it felt uncomfortable rather than supportive. After experiencing something similar again with a different instructor, it became discouraging and made me feel like this might continue happening. What ultimately led me to explore other options wasn't the workout itself, but the feeling of being judged during class. Fitness environments should feel encouraging, especially for people who are new or still building confidence. I did have a positive experience with one instructor who was very helpful, but she primarily taught Define or Empower classes, which felt too advanced for me compared to Classic, since I was still new to barre. Because of these experiences, I decided to try another studio where I felt more comfortable and eventually canceled my membership here.

That feeling was gone within the first ten minutes. The instructors are the heart of this studio. They're encouraging without being over the top, they give clear cues, and they offer modifications so you never feel lost, behind, or "wrong." They notice you, learn your name, and celebrate your progress, whether that's a longer hold, pulsing it out, or just showing up. I've never felt judged here, only supported and encouraged. The environment is just as welcoming. Everyone, from brand-new beginners to people who've been doing this for years, is friendly and encouraging. There's no comparison or intimidation, just a room full of people working hard and cheering each other on. I'm now 100 classes in, and it honestly feels like the easiest commitment I've ever made. I look forward to it, I feel stronger every week, and it's become something I protect on my calendar instead of something I have to talk myself into. If you've been on the fence, especially if group classes intimidate you, this is the place to start. Highly recommend!

I politely asked to be taken off the call list after the first contact, but they kept calling. I am still receiving emails because they have not removed me completely. It's annoying and feels desperate. I mentioned to the instructor after the complimentary class that I belong to Equinox and will just take the barre classes there. I had initially been attracted to the "community" this business talks about. She replied that Equinox instructors aren't trained. Equinox is a high performance gym and though not every instructor is perfect, I found it inappropriate and a bit rude to speak of people you don't even know.

Seems like there is a regular core of folks in each class but enough space for new folks to come and in. None of the clique-y vibe of some similar group class studios, either. Ample parking in front free lot, which us good as the room has more than a half dozen reformers plus a cadillac. Group classes combine a bit of floor (when I attended it was mainly a few stretches and prep for the reformers more complex balancing so nearly all of class was on the bed) with reformer. You'll want pilates socks for this studio. They have a smart and tidy method of giving each class attendee a plastic bin to put each person's personal goodies in then return at end of class. Keeps things tidy and clean! Music was a mix of newer pop, country etc. not very loudly played which was nice. Just enough to focus when things got tough. Pilates is like that: seems easy but the workout sneaks up on you in intensity. I found this studio through ClassPass, which was nice as I wouldn't have discovered it in a drive by, tucked away as it is. Mary Kay was delightful and welcoming. TL/dr: low key but strong energy at this local Pilates studio

My experience may be different from someone who is completely new to Pilates. It was instructed to come 15 minutes early before your first class so I did. A class was finishing up but the studio is very clean and for me self explanatory. So I put all my stuff in the cubbies provided, self-checked in on the Ipad, and waited for the class to finish. My first class was with Brittany and she did briefly explain the reformer to me, but I told her I had used a reformer before so I didn't need a thorough explanation. There was another girl in my class who was new so she helped her. The LIT class, which is their entry beginner class, I will say is a pretty good workout. I liked that even in the LIT class Brittany gave you the option if you wanted to do a higher level of weight/work for more of a challenge. The space is very clean, the reformers are in great working shape, and decorated more trendy. I enjoyed the music here (but if you are looking more for an experience where its playing more elevator type music then I would say this studio is not for you). Another thing I like about this studio is the variety of different classes like the cardio-jump board class, straps, classic pilates, etc. I took a jump board class with Allie and it was a great workout! Allie was also super sweet. I'll be back!

This is how early humans secured their belongings: you brought a lock from home. Those who arrived without one -- as I did -- left the door open and trusted in God. Other Equinox locations have at least advanced to the rotating dial. Fifteen years ago my hometown gym opened lockers with a fingertip. Three years ago, with a face. Now, seriously -- none of this is hard to fix, and all of it is below the standard the brand charges for: 1. Cardio. A refresh is one request to headquarters away. Ask. 2. Paint. Reset to a clean pure white. Swap the blue accent for acoustic wood slat panels -- vertical battens on a black backing. Low cost, immediate lift, and it's the current Equinox language. 3. Lockers. Change the locks. Bring-your-own-padlock isn't acceptable at this price point. Keypad or RFID at minimum. Credit where it's due: the staff were friendly and respectful throughout, and I was here only as a visitor. But as it stands, this isn't a club I'd want as my home gym.
