I also tried Petra's yo-barre class on Thursdays and loved that as well. She does 30 minutes of barre followed by 30 minutes of deep stretching. I don't stretch enough so I really like her take of the yoga/barre combo. Katie's Monday night barre class is also amazing because she REALLY focuses on core. She is an incredible trainer and is so good at cue-ing your breath connected with your abdominals. Kim's step class on Mondays is SO fun. I was laughing my butt off because I was so uncoordinated. Seems like there is a regular core of folks in each class but enough space for new folks to come and in. None of the clique-y vibe of some similar group class studios, either. Ample parking in front free lot, which us good as the room has more than a half dozen reformers plus a cadillac. Group classes combine a bit of floor (when I attended it was mainly a few stretches and prep for the reformers more complex balancing so nearly all of class was on the bed) with reformer. You'll want pilates socks for this studio. They have a smart and tidy method of giving each class attendee a plastic bin to put each person's personal goodies in then return at end of class. Keeps things tidy and clean! Music was a mix of newer pop, country etc. not very loudly played which was nice. Just enough to focus when things got tough. Pilates is like that: seems easy but the workout sneaks up on you in intensity. First, they want to charge me for two late cancellations, when I only late canceled one class. I reached out to let them know there was a mistake, but because they take up to 48 hours to reply, my account was frozen in the meantime. That means I can't attend the classes I had already scheduled for today and tomorrow. Freezing someone's account before even responding or confirming the issue feels really extreme, especially for a new member. Now I'm paying the same amount and can't even take classes until someone gets back to me??! The other issue happened during a Thursday night class with a new instructor. We were told to arrive 10 minutes early, so most of us were there around 6:50 pm for a 7:00 class. When a girl (who told me it was her first class) politely peeked in to ask if we could come inside since it was already 6:57 pm the man at the front desk snapped "one second" at her in a really harsh way. It was honestly embarrassing for her and uncomfortable to watch. Her face turned red with embarrassment. Once we got inside, the instructor herself was actually very sweet and did a great job, especially considering it was her first time teaching. But the class started rushed because we had to quickly set up, and the Bluetooth wouldn't connect so the music had to play from her phone. Again, not the instructor's fault at all, but it made the experience feel a little disorganized. I understand studios have growing pains and new instructors need time to adjust. That part didn't bother me as much as the customer service side of things, and having my account frozen before anyone responds, and seeing a first-time client spoken to harshly doesn't create the most welcoming environment. I really wanted to love this place, but as a new member this experience hasn't felt very supportive so far. If things improve I'll change my review but so far I think this is a fair assessment.

Unethical Billing Practices & Disrespectful Treatment…read more Made the mistake of supporting this new business by purchasing a Founder's membership in June . Thought I was helping my fellow dance community grow. It turned into a very disappointing and stressful experience. "While some of the staff and instructors have been wonderful and hardworking, my experience with the ownership has been very different. The billing practices are not transparent, and when I asked for help canceling my membership, I was met with disrespect and threats of continued charges. This review is based solely on my customer experience with the owner's handling of policies -- not the team members who've been supporting and kind . The contract isn't visible not on the website , app or the sent e sigh email -- corporations refund, return policy isn't available . As it's a hidden contracts, membership cannot be frozen or canceled under any circumstances, even if you're severely injured or have to move away. That's the case for me . As was explained to the owner, Amanda . She will justify the continued charges every month in the guise of membership. Without reason besides she has your CC# I asked questions for cancellation . Amanda then mocked me - and I quote " Dude, that's not how it works, Honey. Have you ever had a gym membership before?" That level of disregard . Instead of professionalism or compassion, continued threatened to charge me every month , a FULL year ($1,125.00 ) for services I can't redeem or use or access, saying " "I will be charging in full then taking you to small claims court" All for 125$ monthly membership that cancelled in September. Please be cautious before signing up -- ask to see their billing in writing , ask questions read every detail and think twice before trusting their "membership" offers. It's disappointing to see a women-owned business turn its back on loyal members who supported their company from day one. We stood by through every early struggle -- tech issues, scheduling mix-ups, instructor cancellations, broken AC , and all the challenges with a point of sale going paperless and a new team . While the community and instructors showed patience and loyalty, the ownership left on lengthy holidays leaving the wellbeing of business in a new team . It's unfortunate to watch a place that once showed promise lose touch with the very people who helped build a community .

My daughter took me to The Barre tonight for their Stretch & Relax Class. It's 90% stretching and 10% relaxing. Amanda was welcoming and did a great job leading our class with clear instructions and guidance. The other participants varied in skill levels (but all were way more bendy than me) and they seemed to enjoy / appreciate the class.
