    BX3 with seasoned criss-cuts
    Real A.

I got the BX3 burger because it sounded too amazing not to pass up as I had never seen any burger advertised as such before. A bacon-infused patty, topped with Patrick Cudahy Apple-Wood smoked bacon and cheddar cheese. Served on a toasted bacon-infused bun. However, once I received it, it just ended up being a plain bacon cheeseburger. Nothing worth spending the $13 on. I saw others in my party get some coated chicken tenders in the sauce of their choice - I'd much rather go that route if I end up at The Bar again...as they had lots of choices of sauces for their wings/tenders. The seasoned criss-cuts (waffle fries) were pretty good, especially in the mystery dip that came with them. Service was a bit slow being that we were the only people in the place when we arrived. However, the waitress couldn't have been any nicer.

Love your food and atmosphere, besides your bartender Courtney.... I don't need to pay to get rude service.

They have an upstairs tap room, an arcade, and a bar and restaurant downstairs. The service was all-around incredible. The employees were warm, friendly, and professional, and they seemed to know exactly how often to check in without interrupting our meal. They spaced out our drinks, appetizers, and entrees just the right amount. Our server Andrew was particularly great. We had a soda flight of their craft sodas for a super super reasonable price, and every single soda was spectacular. We're spoiled in the craft soda department by virtue of living in Wisconsin (Sprecher, Potosi, etc), but this was definitely the best craft soda we've had. Even the wacky flavors like blue raspberry were rich and flavorful--they didn't taste overwhelmingly artificial. I cannot recommend their soda enough, although I imagine their craft beer is pretty good too! We also had a delicious mocktail, which always goes a long ways in impressing us. All of our food was reasonably priced and so, so, fresh and delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese was heavenly!! We loved our entrees as well. Even something simple like the fries were perfectly done--fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside I don't think we could have asked for a better experience. Everything we had their was top notch, and despite the number of things we ordered, our bill was not very high at all (about $50 for a mocktail, a craft soda flight and a soda pint, an appetizer and two entrees.

Seating is really weird, you walk to the center of the restraunt to the hostess stand, then they seat you. I ordered an unsweet iced tea. This is not brewed tea, but that stuff that comes from the soda fountain. I can't stand that stuff. On Monday they have a wing special. I asked how many wings and was told 11-15. I asked if I could get all flats, I had to explain to the server what flats were, he said they were all flats. I have had dental work that makes eating the drimettes difficult so I pay for the flats. When the wings arrived with 8 wings and 2-3 of them were flats. I chose not to wait and picked the meat off with a fork. They were way overcooked, no juice left in the chicken at all. I had to order a second round, but this time got boneless. The servers inexperience had a lot to do with the service I am sure but the quality if the food was very bad. Such a bad review, why 2 stars? The restraunt was very efficient, everything came quickly and the prices were very reasonable. To bad the food was so bad.

I'd love to tell you the vibe was friendly, lighthearted. I'd love to say that staff, and either owner or manager named Steve modeled fantastic customer interaction. Sadly, my experience this evening, that would be a lie; something I just don't. o. I found an open chair at a curve of the bar.To both of my sides there was a cluster of 4 people. At the moment the guy was grabbing disposable shot glasses from next to the register. The females got a larger, I suspect a double, while males got a smaller than a full size regular shot.mI had noticed that 2h3n he was pouring for another cluster of peoplemwho at the bar. Lube the ladies with more alcohol. Jack Daniel's has a hell of a kick. I sat there watching this play out, followed by the guy holding court. I was hoping he was not driving. 10 or so minutes after I. Sat, a bartender /. Server showed up to ask me 'what can I get ya?". I remarked how much I welcomed feeling one of the staff people noticed me. Quickly, Bill in a blue polo shirt launched in, claiming he was busy but had seen me when I sat. He didn't acknowledge me with even a simple hollo, or something. I decided to go away, even Culver's would be better. As I was gathering to go the guy in the blue polo shirt was yelling at me about; away, please just go away! I don't need your money as&*le" So, no, I can't rate the food from this visit, but service. If Steve, I think that was his name - is the owner or management, he sets a poor example for the rest of the crew. It's fine if he wants to get convention adults drunk. So long as that's the only goal. When I tended bar and served I made sure to say hello to every one they sat, no matter what I was doing.

I skipped the fries, so won't speak to those, but was allowed to add a salad for $5, kinda crappy trying to not waste food. Lost a star for this. But the wings. Oh the wings. Standard Buffalo Hot Wings. Hot by most standards, I've been done for a solid 10 minutes and my lips are still tingling. I'm happy, this ranks in the top 2 places in the nation as far as I'm concerned for wings. Cooked to perfection crispy on the outside, tender and hot on the inside, none of that undercooked weirdness you get at some places. My bartender was perfectly attentive, very polite and my cup was never left wanting. It's a sports bar with a bags and indoor volleyball and basketball. The roasted Brussel sprouts were covered, literally smothered in bacon bits and feta. The sprouts were fried beyond crispy. If you like your sprouts super charred and buried under bacon, this dish is for you. I, however, would have preferred my sprouts less burnt and far less toppings. The French dip was shockingly NOT a salt bomb - which was a pleasant surprise. It's the first time I've had a French dip where I actually wanted to dip it in the side of au jus to give it a flavor bump. The real gem is Tanner's amazing selection of sides to choose from - you can swap in a twice baked potato, kettle chips with French onion dip, steamed broccoli, grilled asparagus or potato salad! Any other place would up-charge but Tanner's doesn't. I chose grilled asparagus and appreciated the separate packaging so the sandwich didn't get soggy. I would come back and try other dishes as the menu is quite large.
