The indoor portion is mostly music and lights. It's actually really well done. You can push different buttons and witness different light and music themes. I was surprised at how diverse the music was and how many musical choices you could choose. The outdoor version changes over time, but this time I was tracking nine fairies or nymphs, or like creatures, that encouraged harmony and love of nature. I scanned all nine spots and got a free little gift at the end. It's a cool, funky little space. Lots of nooks and crannies. A big papasan swing. Alien like animal sculptures. Plants everywhere. I can't remember what I paid, but it was nominal, and worth the little detour here. It's on Broadway, which parts of Broadway are lively and packed, but this one was a little more dead and vacant. The staff is super nice. The prices in the shop are reasonable for work by independent artists.

Staff here was cleaning because there was a concert scheduled for that night but it didn't bother us in the least bit. The visitor center was cool to walk through and doesn't take much time. There are also nice bathrooms in here. I really wanted to buy a sticker but it seems there gift shop opens later than the actual center. There is also a spot here to eat. We didn't but the views looked very cool! There are places to hike around here as well and you definitely should! We saw wild turkeys and saw the rocks from a different view! Just beautiful! I may have never found it if it weren't for a friend's post that she was going to be in a show, there. The show was stellar! The caliber of acting was on par with anything I have seen at DCPA. The production value was exceptional. And, the ticket price was under $30 for front row! The show was so good that I bought season tickets for 2022-2023. The seating is tiered, so you don't have to worry about someone tall sitting in front of you. There is a large main floor area and balcony seating. They have drinks and snacks available for purchase before the show and during intermission. The drinks were moderately priced, way cheaper than DCPA. And, there is plenty of free parking in the lot.

With tons of food trucks, local vendors, breweries, and live bluegrass - it was not to be missed. I opted to pick up the beerfest ticket to go with my admission. This installment of Oktobergrass scattered the breweries present throughout the market. I actually liked this more than I anticipated. It made it much easier to meander and browse the vendors; while refilling my commemorative taster glass along the way. Love it! The breweries present included names like: Breckenridge Brewery, 14er Brewing Company, Cerebral Brewing Company, Aspen Brewing Company, and Oscar Blues Brewing - to name a few. The breweries even had a few special tappings for 4 pm! Tons of different vendors were present. Clothes, accessories, pet products, food, and so much more! I had a so much fun browsing the booths. I almost left with some great creative art pieces from Two little Fruits, a succulent, a fanny-pack from B Fresh (it was so retro and awesome), and some clever cozy shirts. I had to dial back my excitement; mostly for my wallets sake. Ha! Some of the best food trucks were present to help satisfy those hungry tummies. I chose to nosh on some tasty eats from Little India. Seriously one of my favorite Indian food trucks! Their chicken tikka masala is the BEST! There were other trucks serving up tacos, hots dogs, arepas, and many more! Live music was provided my Coal Town Reunion during my visit. They were awesome! The space in front of the stage was set up to dance, play some cornhole, giant jenga, or just kick back and take it all in. There was a large bar set up serving various Modelo products or a specialty Moscow Mule made with GB Picketts ginger beer syrups. Seriously amazing. They even have a spicy ginger beer. So good! Thanks Yelp Denver for the ticket hook-up and thanks to TheBigWonderful for a great way to spend my Saturday afternoon!!

As good as it gets!" + SPACE: Mile High Station is a great venue for this Fest! It def embodies Colorado. It's a turn of the century steel and ironworks building that has been repurposed into and event space! Love the character. The only drawback here is the parking! The lot is super small. If you have a light-rail station near you I'd say take that to Mile High Stadium and walk over from there. It's not even a ten minute walk. + BREWERS: The line up is always fantastic! Obvs Colorado breweries dominate the show, but there's plenty of others in attendance too! Over the years I have even seen brewers from my hometown in Northern California in attendance. Colorado breweries often include names such as: Denver Beer Co, Stem Ciders, Crooked Stave, Grist, Wild Cider, Ratio Beerworks, Verboten, Weldworks, Strange Craft, Little Machine, Pikes Peak, Oscar Blues, and sooo many more. + FOOD TRUCKS: My personal favorite has been on-site for each Fest to date. Basic Kneads. It's pizza done awesome. Plus The Goods is usually on hand serving up some excellent smoked and grilled meats. Turkey leg anyone? + ENTERTAINMENT: There's a live band for each evening. This year featured Nevermind the 90's and Super Doppler. Usually the band is set up on a stage outside or in a tent area outside (depending on weather). They have speakers set up all around to ensure you can hear the tune regardless of where you are in the venue. + PRICE: At only $35 for general admission and $45 for VIP, I can safely say this is one of the cheapest Fests out there. But don't let the cheap cost fool you. They really deliver! A suggestion I would have for the future would be a two day pass offering. For those who want to check out both days of festivities. The proceeds from Denver Brew Fest support Swallow Hill Music. I know that I will continue to be a patron of the Denver Brew Fest in the years to come! Most def can't wait for the next Fest! Cheers! **Pro Tip: I HIGHLY recommend buying the VIP tickets. Why? 1) You get an extra hour to enjoy even more brews. 2) Less people during the VIP hour. 3) Special tappings are often offered by the brewers. Go ahead. Treat yo' self, you VIP you!
