I've been going to Dr. Bannard since I moved to NC 3 years ago. He is soooo knowledgable and experienced in a variety of treatments including accupuncture. He knows exactly what's going on with me even though I go for preventiative checks each month. He is also very personable and I sense he really cares about his patients. The massage therapist, Sebastian, is awesome. My husband and I got a massage from him and he is very knowledgable and professional. Front desk staff is always friendly. They also accomodate you if you need a last minute appt. read more

Everything about the practice is great, from support staff to Dr. Bannard everyone offers exceptional patient care. Meg and Erica are great. I look forward to seeing them as much as I look forward to getting my adjustment from Dr. Bannard. I went for a pinched nerve in my neck and almost immediately I got tremendous relief. We addressed issues related to my health beyond my pinched nerve. If you like holistic vibes, this is the chiropractor for you. read more

Just had my first massage here, which I bought through a groupon. The place is not impressive to look at, however the service was actually decent. The massage therapist I had was female (didn't catch her name) and she was very kind and skilled. She gave me tips about stretching certain parts of my body to help with the tension. My biggest complaint was the place didn't smell great. They could use some aromatherapy or something. The building looks a bit cheap, but it's just aesthetics. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how VERY impressed I was with Dr. Bannard and his staff--what a relief! He is so very knowledgable & knows how to communicate complex medical information in terms that are understandable. Unlike some practitioners, Dr. Bannard practices with the patient--NOT profit--as his primary focus, and he is dedicated to diagnosing the problem correctly before he devises a treatment plan. My husband was terrified to see a chiropractor for his back problem, but the pain was unbearable. Dr. Bannard put his fears to rest & actually sent us for the medical tests needed to rule out an injury best served by a surgeon BEFORE arranging a plan for chiropractic care. We LOVE that he sees himself as an integrative part of a medical team, and he empowers his patients to make lasting positive changes in their health. Very impressive! read more

Master Bannard is an amazing instructor and his classes are highly instructive. I started with him before attending college and found Soo Bahk Do to be a unique real world style of martial arts. The students at this dojang (studio) are highly motivated, very friendly and willing to help new students progress. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to learn Soo Bank Do and attribute it to Master Bannard's teaching style and the art itself. Unlike other styles of martial arts, Soo Bank Do isn't about mindlessly learning a boring set of moves. It's about understanding how the human body moves, how people think and most importantly, about mastering yourself. I recommend this studio to anyone who wishes to really learn martial arts. read more

I had a GREAT massage by Devon. He has a sense of care and compassion about his work. Met with ?? (he didn't introduce himself). I guess a chiropractor. We discussed back surgeries I've had, along with other surgeries. The man said 'so you are experiencing lots of pain all the time'. I said 'no, I am feeling fine'. He appeared annoyed with me and very uninterested in me as a person. I assume he had some other matters on his mind. He asked if I ever had chiro care before and I acknowledged yes and that I also had worked for a chiropractor when I was younger. He asked if I was seeing a chiro currently and I said no. He, whatever his name was, said I needed to come in for regular chiro care. (uh?). I said, 'Sure!' (lol) I scheduled an appt to get out of there as quickly as I could and responded to the email verification that I was cancelling my appt and would call to reschedule when I am back in town. From other reviews it appears 'they may not get that msg and will call me asking where I am'. I will update this review if I indeed 'get the unnecessary 'where are you' call'. read more

I purchased a Groupon and had a very nice massage. Afterwards they try to sell you on chiropractic services. I use chiropractors periodically when I feel I'm "off" but this place will want you to come back over and over and then get you on a "maintenance" program. I canceled one appointment (which they didn't write down and later called asking why I hadn't come in) and the first question (both times) was "When can we get ya back in". To me it feels like a mill - they just want to get you in, charge your insurance, and keep you hooked. In fact they seem particularly interested in what insurance you carry. I appreciate places that respect what the patient wants which is "I want to come in when I want/need to come in". Needless to say, I'm sure they work miracles and are lovely people but I won't be going back. It was just too much of a "sell" and it made me feel uncomfortable. The place is also badly outdated and in need of some serious cosmetic updating (i.e. water damage to the ceilings, elderly machines, etc." Minor point, but a detail nonetheless. read more

I've had better! Way better a matter of fact. Bought a groupon and went for a massage. Probably one of the worst massages I've gotten. Uncomfortable head rub, more like jamming a finger into the top of my head, same thing with the back. I told the female massage therapist to work the kinks out of my back, but all she did was drive her elbow into the knots in my back. Extremely uncomfortable. I can understand that some of that needed to be worked on but she never massaged my back. It's my fault, I did not speak up because I kept thinking that at some point she would massage and she never did. Also, I was not offered water at the end, like most places, to flush the toxins out. I have another groupon to use at this place. I've been told there is a male massage therapist. I guess I'll be seeing him, but do not see the female unless you like a finger or elbow jammed into your muscles. However that's not a massage to me and I will not be back to see her. Oh, and I did not like the fact that the massage table sheets was a colored print...you can see bodily fluid stains. I prefer white sheets to lay on so that I can see the sheets are clean. read more

The Bannard Center - Acupuncture Near Me - Cary, North Carolina

I had a groupon for a 90-minute massage here and the process was pretty simple (didn't get sold any chiropractic services or anything else). The first time I got a massage at a different place, I was in pain the next few days so I never went back. Here, I was in a bit of pain during the massage, but I endured it because she was giving me a deep-tissue massage to knead out the knots. I didn't feel any pain the next day, so that's a good sign! My main complaint is that the face pillow smelled like cigarettes, so I would suggest that they change their pillows often. read more

I first came to Dr. Bannard with symptoms of back pain two years ago. I could barely move my back and was experiencing headaches and fatigue. Dr. "B" provided an in-depth examination and his knowledge of his industry immediately showed. He made necessary recommendations of x-rays, vitamins, and therapies and sure enough my body fell back into alignment and healed with his careful and thorough care. Dr. Bannard provided suggestions on how I could better my health--he held me accountable for my own health, something I should have been doing, and I am a healthier and happier person from having met him. I know the body can heal itself with proper nourishment and attention, and I'm glad I sought holistic health, as I don't think heavy drugs and surgery should be the first choice when injury or illness sets in. I'd highly recommend this wonderful holistic healer. His friendliness set my worries at ease from the first conversation. He changed my life for the better! My back feels great! read more

I just had a massage with Sean today. Best massage I have ever had! I will be back, and highly recommend this clean, friendly business.

Within the Bannard center are different services: 2 independent chiropractic practices and massage therapy services. Most of the comments are about the massage services or the other chiropractor practice. I would like to comment specifically on the services I have recd from dr. Bannard himself. He is an excellent chiropractor. I've seen a few in the Cary area over the last 15 yrs. He is one of the most thorough and comprehensive. He specializes in holistic care and will spend a lot of time with you to get to know your health history. I have referred friends and family to his practice. He has a lot of patients that will only see him exclusively. The other practice is using discounted massages to build his practice, but this is negatively affecting the reputation of Dr. Bannard which is unfortunate, because he is very good at what he does. read more

I bought a 90 min massage through Living Social, and was not impressed by the massage therapist, Melissa. She started me 10 min late and ended 5 min early, so my 90 min massage was really only 75 min. I am 21 weeks pregnant, so I called ahead to make sure she was qualified to give a pre-natal massage and the staff assured me she was. She did not seem at all confident in what she was doing, and it was the least enjoyable massage I have ever received. She was very tired and did not give the massage her full attention, but instead messed with her phone with one hand, while "massaging" my back with her other hand. (Just b/c my back is turned, doesn't mean I can't hear you play on your phone, lady. That is very unprofessional.) The room smelled like unwashed sheets, which was another negative point. I was supposed to talk to a chiropractor after my massage visit, but luckily he was in the restroom, so I stepped out without speaking to him. read more

Dr. Bannard has been treating my family for over 10 years. He is extremely knowledgable and uses best practices for patient care. He offers more than chiropractic, focusing on a holistic approach of patient care and wellness. I recommend him to everyone. read more

I became familiar with this practice through a Groupon for a massage. Nearly $2000 later, I had been roped into all sorts of testings. promises, treatments and supplements that DID NOT work. Moreover, I felt extremely uncomfortable with comments made to me, regularly, by Dr. Bannard about "how nice I looked today", "what perfume are you wearing"! They may seem innocent enough when reading this but a woman can sense an creepy come on. Steer clear and protect your wallet! read more

Bad experience. Would not go back and not suggest anyone else does. Did not return my email about lack of quality service.

I have been seeing Dr. Bannard for about a month now. I woke up one morning and could not turn my neck. I called around to several Chiropractic offices but Dr Bannard was the only one that was willing to see me that day! He is very knowledgeable about health and wellness and will educate his patients on what is best for them. Also, I really like that he firmly believes in the holistic approach. I would recommend Dr. Bannard to anyone and everyone. read more

I had a massage here and the place is filthy. The massage room was dirty and uninviting. The massage therapist was texting while massaging me. Would not recommend going there. read more

Ive known DR B since I was a kid, he has treated my father, friends , wife and kids in that order, wait I almost forgot he treated my dog once who had an accident and had trouble breathing. the main story is when my son was a few months old he had a terrible rash, at this time we lived in NYC we brought him to different doctors through out the city and all they did was take blood, skin tests, they had us try different formulas. The last one cost us $55 a can and still did nothing. I did lose touch with dr b for some years and happen to run in to his website so i called him up and he invited us down to visit this was 2005. Dr B noticed the issue we had with our son and asked what was going on, so later that day we went down to his office and he did some muscle testing and said tony is sensitive to this and that, and gave us some herbal supplement's to counter the reaction my son was having. With in a few hours his skin started clearing up. to make a long story short. The Doctors in NY didn't believe a chiropractor could do anything like this and claimed it must of been a fluke thing. One last thing 3 years ago I came down with bells palsy ( it was scary), I went to see Dr B the very next day and he started me on acupuncture , not even 30 days later I had full movement of my face back. anyone reading this can feel free to send me a message if they have any questions ill be more then happy to vouch for Dr Bannard read more

I purchased two Twongo gift certificates for massages at Bannard Family Chiropractic and have called multiple times in attempt to redeem them. The first time I called around Christmas was told the therapist was on leave and I should call back after the holidays. The second time I called the therapist answered, said she was with a client, took my name and number and said she would call me back shortly. I waited two days and never received a call back. The third time I called was told the therapist was out to lunch and I should call back in an hour. After three calls I STILL don't have an appointment for a massage! I need a massage to unwind from the stress of trying to schedule this massage! VERY disappointed in customer service so far. Unless massage is the best I've ever received I won't be going there again (provided I'm able to ever book it to begin with!) read more

I bought a Groupon for acupuncture and massage. I had my acupuncture appt. first and was very impressed by Lee's knowledge and skill. I've had tension in my upper back/shoulders that radiates down into my hands. I felt significantly better after I left my appt. Two weeks later I had my appt. with Jaye for my massage. In the interest of full disclosure, I don't go for "fluffy" massages. I have knots and tightness that cause me pain and I want someone who can make me feel better. Jaye's knowledge of anatomy was impressive. When I described my spots of discomfort and pain she knew just where she needed to work and it wasn't necessarily where the pain was coming from. I've been back once to see Jaye and have another appointment scheduled. She's a gem and I am so glad that I found her. I was going to schedule another set of three appointments with Lee after my Groupon appt. but the receptionist (female) didn't call me back with answers to some appointment questions I had as she said she would. Maybe I'll pursue it again one day. Finally, the building is outdated and looks almost deserted when you pull up. I think that Bannard would be able to stop doing Groupons if they bit the bullet and moved to a more respectable looking location. Their facility is nice but it's difficult to get beyond the initial impression. read more

My experience overall was so-so. I bought a Groupon for a 60 minute massage. I met with Melissa. The building the practice was in was older but I didn't mind that, they can't help it very much. Melissa was nice enough, we very briefly went over that I tend have more upper back tension from working at a computer during the day. I wasn't sold or pushed towards any chiropractic services. She asked me what kind of massages I liked or was used to, I've only gotten Swedish but we agreed to go a little deeper into any problem areas. I was not impressed by the massage table at all, cheap, old, and not comfortable. I had to adjust the head pillow to breathe well since I was lying face down and the padding started pulling away once she started the massage. I felt like my face was compressed by the end. During the massage itself, I felt pretty good. Melissa was very nice and checked in on how I was doing a couple of times. I was in a little bit of pain at the time but mostly dismissed it since she was going deeper than a typical Swedish massage. I also felt good and worked out upon leaving but my back muscles were definitely sore the next couple of days, which left me feeling overall very 'meh' about the experience. While I was definitely relaxed walking out of the place, there just wasn't much at all that would have me come back. read more
