HAMZA NEEDS TO BE FIRED... YOU CAN TELL HE DOES NOT RESPECT WOMEN. TRIED MAKING MY CHRISTMAS MISERABLE ON TOP OF THAT. (He is of middle eastern decent) read on...
I enjoyed the bank hotel's location; it was incredibly convenient to navigate in central Amsterdam due to the city's compact size. The ease of walking to and from the train station, especially off the Eurostar, added to the overall accessibility. The initial encounters with the first two receptionists were pleasant. The late-night check-in with a local gentleman was helpful as he marked recommended places on the map. The following morning, a different receptionist, originally from Greece, assisted in booking a festival of light boat tour with unlimited drinks--a gesture I greatly appreciated.
However, my experience took a negative turn with the last receptionist, Hamza. He displayed rudeness, unhelpfulness, and poor customer service. When seeking assistance to book a ticket to Cologne, he condescended, recommended downloading an app, and indulged in irrelevant personal anecdotes. His arrogant attitude suggested a sense of ownership over the hotel, making my interaction unpleasant. I went back to my room without proper assistance. I asked him about having great customer service and helping out hotel residence and he said actually no I'm not. This is the first time anyone's asked me for help. So he's basically just sitting behind a computer, pretending to be busy collecting a paycheck.
During check-out, Hamza insisted I return the room key, which was unfamiliar to me as an American traveler. He then falsely claimed I hadn't paid the full hotel amount, despite having settled it through booking.com. His insistence escalated to threatening involvement of the police. He called his manager to clarify the situation. I reiterating that I had paid and even paid the $25 tax during check-in. Despite having a receipt, Hamza persistently demanded proof. To avoid further confrontation, I left while he was on the phone with his manager, confident in my payment and surprised at the situation's intensity. I'm surprised he didn't assault me!!!
IF I HAD NOT ENCOUNTERED HAMZA'S (middle eastern decent) LAZY ASS, I WOULD HAVE HAD A BETTER REVIEW!!!

In general, the hotel was pleasant, though I believe it could have been a bit cleaner. I took it upon myself to clean the remote, which had accumulated dirt and unpleasant skin cells, using a disinfecting wipe. On the positive side, the bathtub was particularly appealing. I appreciated the presence of both a bathtub and a shower in the junior suite, which I had paid for. Despite my limited time spent in the hotel, the stay was comfortable. The thermostat was set at a pleasant temperature, contributing to an overall sense of comfort during my time there. read more
