I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Starting off at check in being flawless with Julia! We got a great room we were in check in and out of check in within eight minutes. I cannot understand why Summer is complaining about the $200 hold on your card! Overtime this is become very normal because a lot of people don't know how to act in hotel rooms. I had no problem with putting my card on hold and have since already received my deposit back! Be prepared to spend around $180-300 per night depending on the time. We stayed during the week but on spring break for $265 and I am sure when I come back on an off season it won't be that high. The bar in the lobby area are absolutely stunning very old world Hollywood glam! The beautiful art, deco, seating, and lounge area draw that I and it is very easy to stay down there have a drink, or a meal, and enjoy people watching passing by. We got a king size bedroom with a great window view to Ocean Drive. The bed was very comfortable! No issues there. The shower was wonderful a little low on the water pressure but because we're at the beach it was probably better for my skin to have a softer stream of water. The towels were nice and big, they even had robes for you to wear! Me and my daughter loved this feature. The note did advertise that there were slippers, I didn't see any slippers in the room. But I did not turn me off from the room as a whole in general we were on floor five the pool was on floor three so we were overlooking the pool which was a super cute of you. The pool itself is like they say, very small! However, it was heated in the middle of March, and surprisingly enough it was perfect!!! Also elyse at the bar! She was a star! Made absolutely amazing drinks and told me lots of fun things to do on our day trip to the Keys. Also, they give complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas and towels on the beach for guests! Loved that and took advantage every day of my stay! All around great stay. Nice beach, away from the spring breakers and the art Deco vibes were awesome

Friendly staff, small and quaint atmosphere so a lot of one on one conversation with staff. Room was as expected, and clean. I took notes to give a shout out to our server/bartender but I can't find it. He helped create a perfect drink that I was asking for but he had never heard of. It was beautiful and tasty ( he named it a California cucumber) lol The one downside is parking but it's the area , we paid for valet and would have to call 20 minutes ahead. Great place and great location over all If it weren't for the parking I'd give 5 stars

Cannot rave how much I loved staying at the Balfour hotel! From the moment we checked in with William, who we adored. His service, attention to details, and can't forget great conversation, helped us upgrade to their new remodeled room. If you are a plant lover like me, you will love the ambience of nature, surrounded inside and out of this cute quaint hotel. There were complementary bikes that we could use to ride to the beach, which was less than a minute away. And the bar had great drinks, happy hour and lunch specials. I cannot wait to re-return and spend another vacation at the Belfour hotel

I wish I could give this place more stars but really have a hard time doing it. I really want to given it more but can't bring myself. The rooms are very tight and there is a bench in there that is oversized which doesn't give you much room to move around. The bathroom is even smaller and the door opens right by the entry door. Lobby area and outside patio are nice but that's about it. The nicest things about the hotel is the Lavazza coffee makers in the room and the free oranges in the lobby. The beach is nice but of course you have to cross the street to get to the Chairs. Last time in Miami we stayed at the Stanton a block away which is awesome and has a great pool area. Maybe a bit pricier and two blocks farther away from the main drag.

A reasonably affordable, historic hotel in South Beach with very stylish decor. Unfortunately the main lobby which houses the restaurant and bar has an overwhelming moldy smell. Fortunately our room was in a different building and only smelled like mildew in the shower. However the room opens to the outside, motel style, even though this place calls itself a hotel. Luckily in January it wasn't too busy so the room was quiet at night, but it opened to a central pool which plays music until 10:30pm. The bed was too soft but the room was otherwise reasonably comfortable. Especially noteworthy was the large shower, though it did reek of mildew. At checkin we asked if there was parking and they said no, just $45 valet. This hotel gives a good effort but I would not return.

Booked this hotel because I like the mid century modern look and feel of being " at home." It's nice and cool and cozy. The room was very clean. The bed and pillow are on the firmer side. The only thing I would change about our stay is that they had down pillows or soft pillow options.. The check in process was stress-free and easy. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to leave our bags if we needed extra time to check out the beach. It's a few minutes from the beach. They offer bike rentals the first two hours are free. A pool with a pretty view and a rooftop corner. The breakfast is really good as well as the dinner menu. Drinks are also good. Really enjoy the patio out front with the fans, it's a relaxing and pretty viewpoint.

I'd give a hundred stars I LOVED this hotel. Updated but left in retro to give you an appreciation for the historic value of the building The staff was incredible! Our room was absolutely adorable Our dog was welcomed Short walk around the corner to the beach they give you lounge chairs at the beach we got towels at the hotel free metal refillable water bottles they give you free bicycle rentals coupons for the restaurant and the food was outstanding I loved everything here

Overall it was a good stay. The hotel has been recently remodeled and does look nice. I booked the room from booking.com for my husband and I's anniversary. I was even told they would have a bottle of bubbly waiting for us but there was none. The 328 room we had was HOT! I didn't see any bed bugs or anything. No matter what you set the thermostat too...it was always 76-78 degrees. The ceilings in the room were concrete and there were NO ceiling fans which would have helped with the cooling of the rooms. I had to pile up clothes and dirty towels around the door to provide some ability to prevent leak around the door due to poor to no weather stripping. I had to wait a few hours for maintenance to come up and fix a bathroom light that would not cut off and it shined in our eyes through a glass wall from the bathroom to the our bed. Apparently...it was a bad switch. Then, I would have someone knocking on my door at almost 8 PM to provide room service!?! They don't warn you of this up front but where I come from ...you don't just show up that late, knocking on someone door saying u going to clean the room and restock. Apparently, the front desk staff stated they come until 10pm to clean rooms! Well who knew?!? I have stayed at MANY hotels and that has never been the case. Sorry...it's just weird. I enjoyed the wonderful restaurant downstairs. Great Chef and Bartenders. The pool is a spa pool which means it's small and hot all the time. Courtyard is nice to eat at. Restaurant manager checked on us and was very friendly. Hotel manager didn't address anyone and would just let just walk people by without even a hello. I love the rooftop area to lay out and chill. It was cooler to sit up there at night and people watch. They do not have balconies in any room, Booking.com stated they did. They also have bikes to use around south beach. Though...I didn't realize that until my last day. I would say better communication with better check in instructions by staff would have help a lot. They do provide beach chairs for free at the beach with just a couple minutes walk from hotel. They are already set up for you but you have to rent the umbrella which was $10.00, but worth it! FYI: You can use the yelp coupon for the restaurant and get 25% off a meal. The restaurant is just attached to hotel but they are their own Inity. I would have given 4 stars had I gotten a good rest, cool room, and received the bubbly that was promised to me.

    A bedbug bite

BEDBUGS BEDBUGS BEDBUGS! I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The first night I was bitten by a bed bug but I thought maybe it was a mosquito .. the second night I had been bitten 5+ times and woke up at 3:00am to more bites. the manager was non responsive to the staffs emails about the issue. I was told that my clothes would be cleaned and they never were, instead on my best-friends bachelorette weekend I had to wear pajamas and also had to take my own clothes to be washed and dry cleaned (to a place they recommended) My clothes were then ruined. Once I finally heard back from the manager they told me they would comp one night from my stay (that was lie he never did) instead they took off 100$ worth of resort fees for a 700+stay. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!!!

Another star in the IHG constellation of hotels…read more I learned a lot from the friendly staff - stuff I should have learned from reading the website: rental bikes on site, a free hotel shuttle to drive you around (if available), two beach seats included in your stay price (though you'll upgrade for the tent and/or umbrellas once you get there), etc... The valet parking has a feature that makes the high cost super worthwhile: they have a little entryway off of Alton Road so you don't have to double park or back up traffic. What a God send! Pool on the roof? Check. Bar on the roof? Check. Typical clean rooms? Yep. Avoid the pricy honor bar, as there are loads of bodegas and a Publix grocery store just around the corner. Hell, there's a Whole Foods and a Trader Joe's a quick jaunt away on foot, too. We will be back two more times in the next two months. Has this become our base of operations on Miami Beach? I guess so. I'm a sucker for the art deco South Beach scene, but the pricing and convenience make this place so worthwhile. So why not five stars? Well, five star hotels are a league of their own. But for us mere mortals, this Kimpton rocks. One weird note: the faucet in the bathroom has hot on the right side of the single control mechanism. Exactly opposite of the rest of the American hotel world. Oh, and there is a see-through but opaque panel in the shower that allows you to see blurry outlines of shower-takers while in the room itself. Is this normal? I have only seen this "feature" in Detroit and here. Bonkers. Good on-site restaurant. Tasty breakfasts. No in-room coffee makers, but there are free coffees in the lobby in the morning.

I was able to bring my fur baby with me who also enjoyed the hotel. The room we received was very spacious and very clean. The only cons of the hotel is they don't have a restaurant, which isn't a huge deal considering its location to restaurants in the area, they offer a rooftop bar but it doesn't even exist, and breakfast isn't included. The location is walking distance to Lincoln road and they provide free shuttles to the beach. I would just prepare to wait for a shuttle for a bit. I would definitely recommend!

High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. The Fontainebleau Las Vegas is impeccable, so we expected the same level of luxury and service here. Unfortunately, this location feels run down and poorly managed. The beds literally cave in in the middle, rooms feel outdated, and basic amenities were a struggle. There's nowhere to get ice yourself -- you have to call for it -- except no one ever brought it despite us requesting it multiple times over all 4 days. For a "luxury" hotel, there were also no slippers, no robes, and no 24-hour room service, which was surprising considering the price point and reputation. The full suite, which was the most expensive room we booked, had multiple issues: the shower head was rusted with water barely coming out of several holes, and the refrigerator leaked huge puddles onto the floor. We even encountered very rude interactions with both a poolside employee and a pool restaurant employee. Monday morning, my boyfriend and I wanted to sit in a cabana for literally 10 minutes to eat a bagel and coffee we had purchased from their café because we simply needed shade. The entire pool area was practically empty, yet we were shooed away in a very disrespectful manner. Later, when we went to COTE for lunch, the food and drinks were amazing and our servers were fantastic -- but once again, the front desk staff had a condescending attitude. We were asking what seating was available and discussing options within our group since we wanted a normal sit-down table. After we asked a follow-up question to clarify what wasn't available, the hostess responded with, "Do you want me to show you the tables so you can figure it out?" Meanwhile, the tables, couches, and bar seating were directly in front of us. We were simply trying to understand the wait and seating situation, not asking to be spoken to disrespectfully. What made the experience even worse was management. While discussing concerns at checkout and showing photos/videos, the manager was sitting on her phone while we were speaking to her. I've genuinely never seen someone so unprofessional in a management position at a luxury hotel. On top of that, friends and family tried sending champagne to the suite for the proposal celebration. It became unbelievably difficult. Emails went unanswered, calls weren't returned after multiple attempts, and one person who paid for the champagne had to text us directly asking if we received it -- because the hotel never delivered it. Only after they called again the following day to complain did the champagne finally arrive. Overall, this hotel feels like it stays busy mainly because of conventions and the iconic name, not because of the actual guest experience. The only highlight? The late-night food truck was honestly 10/10.

Five stars for the location and awesome amenities…read more This hotel was the perfect place to stay at for a quick Miami getaway located walking distance to the beach and all the main things you could possibly want. After a long day of travel, we received two Prosecco as soon as we checked in and arrived. Our room was upgraded and it was located right across on top of the Naked Taco where the rooftop pool is at. It's perfectly located for anything you want to do, all the good food spots, bars, places, etc. The next day we went straight to the beach and they provide complimentary beach chairs, towels and umbrellas upon request and you just walk yourself to the beach with them. There's nothing like Miami Beach! The water was perfect and it felt so good to just defrost on the sand and dive into the gorgeous turquoise water. After a few hours at the beach, we went back, enjoyed late check out and headed to crunch fitness - which was absolutely worth it! We were able to leave our bags at the front desk while we worked out, grabbed a late lunch, some drinks and then got to come back and enjoy the rooftop pool during happy hour for drinks and snacks until sunset. It was the perfect Miami daycation that we needed!

Dream South Beach by Hyatt delivered a genuinely top-notch experience from start to finish…read more From the moment we pulled up, our valet, Fernandino, took great care of us; friendly, fast, and attentive. And the five-star touch continued inside thanks to Melody, the Director of Front Desk, who made us feel like our stay actually mattered. We were celebrating a very special occasion--dinner plans were set, we simply needed a place to spend the night. What we got was an incredible room with a private terrace and a stunning view of South Beach. And as if it couldn't get any better, we were surprised with a complimentary bottle of champagne, which made for the perfect nightcap, and an even better start to the morning alongside our mimosa. If you're staying in South Beach, Dream is more than a name--it's an experience!

EXPECT MUCH NOISE until 5pm - City Permitted Construction…read more My partner and I stayed at the CitizenM in South Beach on January 21st. Having stayed at the CitizenM Downtown Miami (World Center) the week prior, we knew what to expect from the property and the experience. We checked in at the earliest time available (I actually believe the person working the front desk area helped us check in early). We were looking forward to resting as soon as we got to the room as we had just disembarked a cruise and were still very tired. As soon as we got into the room - THERE WAS CONSTANT DRILLING THAT LASTED ALL AFTERNOON. When we called the front desk to ask about the noise, the front desk person let us know that this was an ongoing construction project that was fully permitted by the city. The noise was expected to run from 9a-5p. Our largest issue (as we understand that construction happens) is that there was no advance notice either on their website OR when checking in. The hotel offered us a complimentary breakfast for our troubles - I was not aware that this offer was their remedy for the inconvenience. I reached out to corporate with a complaint asking for a refund for our stay. There was NO response to my complaint until I reached back out to Marriott. During my call with Customer Service I asked to speak with a manager. When the manager did get on the phone - she reiterated to me that they had offered me a breakfast at the property as a solution - I told her that was not acceptable. She asked me what I thought was acceptable and I returned the question - and asked her, as the supervisor, to suggest what she thought was best - as I didn't want to appear greedy or out of line for what I was asking. She did not provide an answer. After asking for a full refund and told that I would be reached out to within 24 hours (which I was - or at least close enough) we were provided with a 10% discount. This totaled about $21 and change - not enough to cover the tax. I have since responded to the person that offered us the refund of $21 and let them know that I was sharing my experience with potential future guests - ONLY so they know about the potential noise / inconvenience at the hotel and the poor customer service to deal with it. This review comes ONLY after a final decision was made on a resolution - as I wanted to give them a chance to make the experience right. They have STILL not posted anything on their website about the noise/construction. The hotel is nice. The rooms and the property are very clean. The restaurant is acceptable. The staff, though ill prepared to solve issues, were very kind and accommodating. Final Note: Buyer Beware - and if you stay here - bring EAR PLUGS! @CitizenMHotels @CitizenM @MarriottBonvoy @Marriott

She was dismissive and did not provide any customer service. She used the excuse that she and the hotel were new to Marriott and to their system and could not help me. She told me to call Marriott although she works for Marriott! Also, the construction during our teams 2 day stay caused a lot of angst and disruption. All day long and at 5am! No alarms needed here. This experience has caused a stain on the Marriotts reputation for me and my team that I don't think will rub off for a very long time. Tells me Marriotts reputation as a premier hotel has lowered their standards of a quality hotel.

Came to The Local House for brunch recently and really enjoyed my time…read more The restaurant is very cute and nicely decorated. Seating inside and out. Great service with very friendly servers. I started with a cappuccino, which was nicely balanced and great foam. Then I ordered the Local Breakfast. It came with two scrambled eggs, multigrain toast, home fries, and I swapped the meat for avocado. The eggs were nicely cooked, potatoes had great flavor but were a bit cold and very fresh but I imagine freshly made are very solid. The toast was not bad. Avocado was fresh. Good portion and good prices. My friend and I shared a pancake that was pretty good but lacked a bit of flavor but was still enjoyable. I would definitely come back and try other items as they have an all day menu!

5 STARS - Incredible Service at The Local House…read more The Local House is already one of the best spots in Miami Beach -- beautiful atmosphere, great food, and a relaxed coastal vibe -- but what truly takes the experience to the next level is the exceptional service, especially from Ana. Ana is absolutely amazing. She's warm, attentive, and has that rare ability to make you feel genuinely cared for without ever being intrusive. She knows the menu inside and out, gives thoughtful recommendations, and brings such a positive energy that it transforms the whole dining experience. You can tell she really loves what she does. Every time Ana has been our server, we've left happier than when we arrived. If you're visiting The Local House, do yourself a favor and ask for her -- she makes the meal unforgettable. Highly recommend this place, and especially Ana.

However since we paid tripple that price I have to be way more critical. The staff makes it extra special. They were all friendly and had the "I can do it for you attitude." Kudos to the staff. Our "up-graded" room facing half ocean/city was tiny, a tad worn, had a very nice view, and non impressive toiletrees. The worst part of our room was the side of the hotel we were on. Our room was on the industrial exhaust fans side and it was extremely noisy. Had to keep our balcony door closed to drown out the noise. The location of the hotel, as others mentioned is ideal. Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. Small menu with the basics. Food was fair. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool restaurant has the best hotdogs! And we also enjoyed the quinoa salad.
