The cheeseburger was nice portion of double meat made with Hank's Grass Fed Beef from BC and it is superior in flavor and texture to the your usual meat plug. Service was great, ordered at the counter and brought to the table. The restaurant and washroom were was immaculately clean, sparklingly spotless. Noticed an emphasis on bio-friendly paper straws and wood eating utensils, but the Diet Pepsi was served in cans rather than fountain. Just an observation.

We were staying real close to La Belle in Victoria so we got it to-go the night we got in. This La Belle isn't the best for sitting in, very few chairs and the ambience isn't great. So we took ours to go. Mine one qualm is the to-go vehicle - the fries got really soggy before we got to the house because of the steam and how tightly they packed it. Now don't get me wrong, the gravy and the curds, on point as per usual! Just wish the fries still had some crispiness to them still. If they had abit more of place to sit, we for sure would have just eaten in to maintain the integrity of the pout. Was I still satisfied? Yes. Maybe they can switch to a better to go vehicle. At the Davie location they served my poutine in a cardboard box that could breathe a bit better. Recommend switching to that if possible!

For more info on the city of Victoria & fun things to do while on Vancouver Island, see my pix & reviews from the summer of 2022. Located on Fort St, there's several shops, restaurants & bakeries on this street. BC knows how to do Smash Burgers right! Taste, presentation, flavour ALL on point! One of the bestest burgers ever indeed. While we don't have In-N-Out Burger up here in Canada - this is probably the next best thing. The thin cut fries are excellent. Get an order of regular fries. OMG the Chocolate Shake here is absolutely sensational! It looks small & unassuming, but don't be fooled - it's the real deal when it comes to quality shakes! Be sure to tell the cashier you want your shake after you finish your burger. I do not recommend you get it to go - have it right away once you've finished your meal. Also if you are one to carry around your own metal or plastic straw, bring it here! This shake should not be associated with paper straws = sadness! I usually get a single burger, but if you really love that beef & prefer a double patty, then go for it. The beef is right here at BC!

The lady had to check on her kids waiting in her car. Eventually her order was put on the counter, when she came in pick it up, the order was not at all correct. By that time I'd somewhat lost my appetite so was quite disappointed for my fist experience at Deatbeets

This place is a total Carnivore's Paradise…read more The moment I stepped into Fatburgers, I knew I found a place that really understood what a real hamburger should be. If burgers were people, Fatburgers would be Schwarzenegger (at his physical peak) while the biggest burger (if you could stomach one) at a place like MickeyD's would be more like a PeeWee Herman. No burger I've ever had in this town can really compare to the sheer size, weight, flavour or juiciness of a 1 pound Double King Fatburger. Even the biggest and baddest burgers at Red Robin's immediately turn around, drop their buns and run away screaming the second they get a glimpse at the massive meat a FatBurger is packing. Sure, Red Robin's offers bottomless fries but who the heck would have room to eat any of those edible ketchup shovels after devouring a Double Kinger??? And if a double is still too small then might I suggest their Triple King Fatburger? A 1.5 pound, 2050 calorie triple patty behemouth big enough to feed a small african village. I defy you to fit that thing in your mouth. Now here's a couple of other things you should know about this place. - It's really, really clean - even their washrooms - They've got an awesome kids menu - Your meal is cooked the moment after you order it and not a second before (unlike some places that like to pre-cook your burger and store them in hot water) - Tons of parking - Great value (especially compared to what you get at other burger places) - Extremely addictive to carnivores (you've been warned) - No fear of running into any vegans (they tend to lose consciousness at the door)
