That's exactly how The Baked Bear got me. Hook, line, and sinker. If you've never been, the concept is simple and brilliant. High-quality ingredients and a build-your-own dessert approach. Cookies, brownies, cones, ice cream, toppings. You mix, match, and create something that feels a little more custom than your average scoop shop. And the ingredients really do deliver. The cones are nicely crisp, and if you've never had one of their ice cream sandwiches, start there. They'll build it with warm cookies on the outside and freezing cold ice cream on the inside, which might be the most satisfying hot-meets-cold dessert combination ever created. Warm cookie. Frozen ice cream. Zero regrets. For my order, I went with the berry crumble and strawberry cheesecake on a waffle cone. The waffle cone had a great crisp to it, and the flavors were light and refreshing. You got a nice hint of berry without it being overpowering. If anything, I would have welcomed a little more berry punch, but it was still very enjoyable. We also tried the campfire s'mores, which absolutely popped with bold flavor, and the cookie dough, which was fine but a little more average compared to the others. The one area where things felt slightly limited was the flavor selection. They offered around a dozen choices, but many leaned heavy into chocolate territory. If you're a chocolate lover, you'll feel like you hit the lottery. If you're looking for a wider range of lighter or fruit-forward options, the variety could be better. Still, the concept is great and the ingredients are excellent. Tip: do not accept the free sample unless you're emotionally prepared to buy ice cream immediately afterward. Four stars. Great concept, excellent flavors, just a little light on variety. Definitely worth the trip even if the sweet tooth hasn't kicked in yet.... Oh, and it's okay sometimes to have dessert for dinner... and this would be the place for that! read more

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon because it was a hot day in Florida and the ice-cream looked yummy. It was cute spot in between Cheesecake factory and Cviche 105. I felt a little hot inside, the door was open though so maybe thats why. There were about 6 chairs facing the window for customers to sit abd enjoy their ice-cream. The staff greeted us nicely and they allowed us to try samples. They sell cookies and ice-cream. You could purchase those individually or in an icecream sandwich. Cool idea. They had nice ice cream flavors but not what I wanted. There was a blue one which I though was a cookie monster but it was something else. I really wanted the cookie monster. They had a cookie monster cookie but not the ice cream. I loved the cookie options. Walked out with a carrot cake cookie for $3 which tasted exactly like carrot cake. They warmed it up for me. Today The Baked Bear was giving away a free scoop of ice cream in honor of Customer Appreciation Day. The long line was initially daunting but moved very quickly. Sarah was very patient as I explained my order. The team displayed excellent customer service on such a busy day. I got a bear batter ice cream in a cone & vegan chocolate chip in a cup. If you're in the mood for some ice cream with a cookie this is definitely the spot to go to. They had a variety of cookies and ice cream to choose from. Decided to get a cup of chocolate ice cream with a Cookie Monster cookie in it and it was the perfect combination. I had to stop at this cookie ice cream shop located im the Oasis at the Sawgrass Mill Mall. This place offers warm big gooey cookies of many different flavors. My favorite is the velvet cookie. Then i would get vanilla ice cream and they press the ice cream between the two cookies. OMG pure bliss. It melts quick outside so gotta eat it quick and fet plenty of napkins. I really loved this concept! I normally do not like ice cream sandwiches but I loved how you can customize it and that it is served warmed. I visited the Saw Grass Mills Mall and was looking for something sweet but wanted something different from the norm. I came across The Baked Bear and gave it a try. Upon entering the shop I immediately noticed how very clean ice cream shop was. The staff were super friendly and answered all my questions. Once I made my selection the staff went to work to make my custom dessert. First the base. I chose a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie. Next the ice cream, I selected the Almond Brittle Cake Ice Cream. The ice cream was sandwiched between the brownie and cookie and moved to a sort of waffle maker to be heated. I thought it was pretty interesting that everything including the ice cream was heated. Moments later the sandwich was pulled off the waffle plate and then came the toppings. I had hot caramel sauce drizzled over top and whipped cream to complete my tasty treat. I thought this process was so unique and only wished there was one in Orlando so I could enjoy it more often. Made it to this place just before it closed. It's located in Sawgrass, small shop but cute place. The server was very nice even with us coming in 7 minutes before closing. My hubby and I created our own ice cream sandwich and it was amazing. He had a chocolate chip Cookie Monster cookie with mint chocolate on the inside. Oh and he added sprinkles to it. I think this place is hyped up a lot more than it should be based on the quality of food I received. This location in particular is quite difficult to get to and there is only three to six seats available in a very small location. My family and I ordered their traditional ice cream with cookies and everything was pretty subpar. Maybe worth a try if you happen to be walking around the sawgrass Mills area and maybe worth a try once to see if it's up your alley but in my opinion there extremely lacking in flavor and a pass for me a second time around. The one thing I wish they had control over to improve upon is that it's a small space with only a couple of chairs. That said, the outdoor seating shared with the other restaurants and stores well compensates. All in all, my first visit was a good experience with a great product, friendly associates, comparable prices, and I will be going back again soon; not so much for the ice-cream itself, but for their many sandwich combinations and toppings, which include gluten-free and vegan options. At the baked bear you get a cookie or brownie sandwich in between any ice cream of your liking. This would easily be a 5 star ice cream shop.
