Carvel is another shop that doesn't change that much for location to location. The factors that make these different are their size and team members. This location was big, bright and filled with a very efficient team. We have been coming to this shop here for a while now and they always have a good team here that greets you with a smile, ready to let you sample any flavor and eager to serve. There is a small spot if you dine in. Clearly this place is for take out... In the Summer many people just stand around the parking lot eat their ice cream and speak with their friends and family. Here in Florida standing outside, day or night is not really an option of you don't want to eating melting ice cream./ If you're local to the area and get an urge for Carvel, i definitely recommend that you check out this location. Been to this place in the past a few times and I had a disappointing visit my last time, decided to give it a second chance since then. I walked in and was waiting for a few minutes while Brandon was serving someone (Brandon had served me in the pass and has been excellent), an employee came from the back asked me how can he help.... "I asked for a thick shake medium size." He stands there and doesn't move.... I gave it a couple seconds and said "I'll choose vanilla." He proceeds to make it and I said to him "I would like to add toppings." His response was "you should have told me from the beginning!" "There is no space for anything in this cup I just made." I responded "I've never had that issue before coming here for years." And he just stood there with the cup, like I'm suppose to just take it and didn't offer to redo it. " I said I'm a customer and this is what I would like, as this has never been a problem before." He didn't do anything. So I walked out. Firstly, in any sales/service industry you should ask what the customer would like, try to upswell with add ons, make an experience personalized. This employee did the complete opposite and I will NEVER return to this location unless something changes or management addressed the lack of service in this location especially at night. read more

They have some of the greatest soft serve ice cream I've ever tasted- so creamy and soft. I also love their crunchies. I believe it's one of their signature toppings. They have amazing ice cream cakes and ice cream sandwiches. They also have a variety of different hard serve ice cream so there's plenty to choose from. You can also create a shake out of any of their ice cream flavors and toppings. What's also great is that they have really great weekly deals for every day of the week. This has been my second trip to this Carvel and I have always left happy. Service was quick and with a smile. They had Grape Nuts ice cream, people do you know how hard that stuff is to find? Anwyays, another feature that I like is the kid sized cups. Alot of times you don't want a whole lot and this certainly does the trick. They have a few seats inside as well as a few outside. Softserve and regular ice cream are served and there are a limited amount of sorbet flavours as well. Funny how you can drive by a place and in the hustle and bustle of LIFE, not even notice it. As sweet as this experience is to me, I've been missing out for some time--till today, that is! Consistent throughout a lifetime, Carvel is an all-time favorite in my family for three generations. Today I was reminiscing with Robert, who oversees several stores here in South Florida. He and I remembered going to the Carvel near Miracle Mile in Miami as children. Small world indeed! This store is a good sized one with the regular variety of flavors they're known for, plus new ones; such as the Oreo and Kit Kat ice creams. They also have soft serve. Oh and they're certified Kosher. On this visit, I had the marble ice cream with chocolate crunchies that cakes are made of, topping it with whip cream and a cherry. The service was friendly, the store is well merchandised with candles and other party favors, bottled beverages, and plenty of room for families or small groups. I loved that I was able to pay for my kids cup, well under $5.00, with my bank card without a fee or an issue. I love ice cream cake! So happy to see a Carvel open up near me. Located in the Publix plaza. Finally was able to stop in, decided to get a small cake as a dessert for Thanksgiving. We bought one for $14.99, a small but delicious cake with chocolate cookie crumbles on top. The ice cream cake had vanilla and chocolate layers and more cookie crumbles inside, so delicious. Thaw it out for a few minutes before cutting into it. The employee was super friendly and helped us out; she offered to write on it for us but we didn't need to. They also have ice cream by the cone there too. They also offered a frequent buyer card. The place was clean and had a wide variety of flavors and cakes to choose from. It's a nice size, bright & clean. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly & all smiles. They have a nice selection of cones/bowls, ice creams, toppings, sundaes, shakes and soft serve flavors. The combinations are endless. The special cup they put your cone in with the rim that catches all the rogue sprinkles is pretty neat too. They also have a nice selection of ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches and other tasty treats to take home and enjoy. They offer daily specials and a have frequent buyer card so make sure to take advantage of both. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of my vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. I love Carvel so much, but there is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to why their employees are not wearing gloves or hair nets. I watched the young lady scoop out my ice cream, with no gloves, put on the toppings, some of which fell onto her bare skin hands and she shook them right back into the topping area, with no gloves. That was not a good look and left me feeling super uneasy about returning to this location. She also had dried ice cream droplets in her hair, with no hair net, which left me uneasy as well as confused. The ice cream itself is always amazing though! read more

great Dashers, but you MUST watch the teenagers making it like a hawk. They DONT follow the recipe. I ask for a Reese's Dasher and they ALWAYS mess up the layers. Usually they forget the peanut butter sauce, and use Reese's cup bits instead. or I'll get fudge in its place (ice cream, fudge, Reese's cups, I cream fudge reeses cups). The recipe is very simple - it's ice cream, peanut butter sauce, Reese's cups, ice cream, fudge, Reese's cups, whipped cream. It's not difficult, as long as the workers aren't lazy and actually LOOK at the manual! Manager must correct this. read more

I get a bonnet dipped cone from this girl and she gives me a lopsided ice cream, then when she dips it, the chocolate is going down the whole cone and down her hand, and she gives it to me. Am i suppose grab this? I take it and give her my punch card with like 6 holes punched, she says we r using a different card now but ill give u a new one. She gives me it and punches one hole on it. Yummy ice cream! This place is clean and the staff were very helpful. They have about 12 ice cream flavors and 12 soft serve flavors - all of which are fantastic. The toppings area was clean and not all muddled up with splatter or mixed items. I love that they offer kids and junior sizes - especially when you only want a little treat to cap off a great day! The interior is a bit small and there are probably 2 tables outside. Most people got the ice cream to go, but I saw 3 families stay inside. Ohh nostalgia! This space in the Publix plaza has been empty for some time and when the sign went up that said a Carvel was coming... OMG so much excitement! Carvel have one of the best soft serve ice creams in the market and it tastes practically the same as it did when I was a kid! Their new look and layout of the stores are a great improvement and I'm glad they didn't go the way of the "serve your own" ice cream situation because it completely takes away from the experience. Of course the best flavor is the chocolate vanilla swirl soft serve but they have tons of other options as well. One of the employees was making fresh waffle cones when we came in so that as a no brainer! You can literally try every single flavor and they're happy to accommodate. The customer service was also pretty good at this location and the ice cream delicious of course. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing that this new store is super close to me but I'm not complaining! Cannot wait to return! read more
