Being an ex business owner and understanding some of the ins and outs of Insurance pricing going up and down has always been something for red flags for me. I bought a new car has all the safety features you could want and more which I thought would be great for my policy. WRONG I could not believe they went up 80.00 more and could only say because of my credit. I have only ever had one speeding ticket back in 2010-2011 paid it took defense driving course for Florida and Delaware at that time. No DUIsAnd very cautious as my line of work deals with children. I don't see what my credit has to do with me driving or my policy. Just another way for these agents to get a bigger wallet. At age 63 and learning still that loyalty and longevity of a customer and never having an accident or claim should speak something...But I will never recommend to any of my business relationships or personal. BEWARE! Avoid this agent at all cost! They will scam you just to try to get commission…read more My husband obtained new boat/trailer insurance through GEICO with this insurance agent. He disclosed to the insurance agent that we had a claim with our previous insurance. They even commented that the previous insurance company entered the claim incorrectly. We filed a claim on the boat trailer a few days later on 3/11/2026 due to an issue that occurred on the freeway 3/10/2026 (axle was broken and other tire issues). GEICO asked us not to authorize any repairs pending the claim resolution. We followed up every few days about the claim with GEICO. We informed them that we are being charged daily to keep the boat/trailer there while we await their decision. We were contacted by GEICO on 4/6 and informed that our policy was cancelled from the issue date due to failure to disclose a previous claim. My husband spoke to one of the people at the insurance agent's office and they specifically remember that he informed them of the previous claim. Now we are not only stuck paying for the repairs but also for the storage which is over $2000 due to waiting for GEICO's decision which was ultimately to cancel our insurance. We cancelled all our other polices with GEICO after this. Truly a shame.. we will also be filing a claim with the Division of Consumer Services
