What a pleasant find! The Wild Bird Center has been in this plaza for about 11 years, and they offer all the supplies you need to set up for songbirds. They have a variety of baths, houses, and feeds, as well as gifts for any bird lover (such as greeting cards, sticker books, printed socks, and even bird lamps!). I love the fact that they had Charley Harper-designed cards and notepads with birds - so cute! The employee in there was really friendly and sweet! Definitely check this cute store out! +one-stop-shop for songbirds +feed, baths, and houses

Unfortunately, my experience at this grooming location was extremely disappointing and…read moreunprofessional. The staff was rude and dismissive, which made the entire visit very unpleasant. I would not recommend this groomer and will not be returning. I have two small Chihuahua mixes and scheduled two separate grooming appointments, one at 5:00 pm and another at 6:00 pm. I arrived about 10 minutes late due to heavy traffic on Wisconsin Ave and immediately apologized. Upon arrival, none of the three staff members acknowledged or greeted me, which already set an unwelcoming tone. One staff member stopped grooming a dog to check me in but did so without saying a word. While doing so, she nearly fell from a chair and then forcefully pushed it down the aisle between grooming stations while loudly complaining, without regard for the dogs on the tables. This behavior felt disruptive and unnecessary. When I provided the rabies certificate for my first dog, I explained that I would bring the second certificate when I returned with my other dog for her scheduled appointment. At that point, the staff member became increasingly hostile, raised her voice, and stated that she expected both dogs to be brought at the same time--despite the appointments being scheduled separately. I calmly explained that I intentionally scheduled them separately to reduce stress for one of my dogs, who is very anxious. She continued to respond with irritation and attitude, stating in a dismissive manner that the dog would not be ready until 7:30 pm, even though it was only 5:15 pm at the time. She also appeared upset that I did not provide both rabies certificates at once, despite my explanation. From the moment I arrived, the staff member was impatient, annoyed, and unprofessional. Due to the way I was treated, I chose to leave and not proceed with the appointment. The only reason I returned to this groomer was because my regular groomer is currently on maternity leave, and I wanted my dogs bathed before Christmas. I have visited this location in the past and had already felt that kindness and professionalism were lacking, but this experience confirmed those concerns. Overall, this business lacks basic customer service and professionalism. Communication was poor, and I was treated rudely from start to finish. I would not recommend their services.

We love Kwame and would not use anyone else. One star off because he books up quickly and I usually forget to book an appointment until the last minute

Pet Parents is a wonderful salon and shop! I took my chihuahua poodle mix, Nachy, to see Reuben…read morefor a haircut. Nachy is usually terrified when I take him to get groomed, but but with Reuben he was happy and relaxed before, during, and after his beauty session. We are both very happy with his new 'do! The store is well appointed with a cultivated selection of pet accessories, toys, and treats (treat samples too!). The owner John is very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend Pet Parents.

A Nightmare You Don't Want to Subject Your Beloved Pet To…read more I've never been so furious in writing a review. If you love your cat, do not--DO NOT--bring them here. Our cat came back looking as though he'd been through a horror show, and we are livid. Bruises All Over from "Gentle Grooming" (we have pictures) Our cat was a long hair that we asked to have their fur taken down to that of a short hair cat. What was unforgivable were the purple, fingerprint-shaped bruises scattered across his body. When we first saw those marks, we were horrified and confused: bruises? How could regular grooming leave deep purple handprints on our pet? We immediately took him to the vet, who confirmed they were bruises--plain and simple. This was not a sleepy "heavier-handed" brushing; these were bruises from someone handling him roughly enough to leave real-live finger marks. Cuts, Cuts, and More Cuts If bruises weren't appalling enough, the groomer also managed to slice our cat multiple times with her clippers or scissors. These weren't tiny nicks; we could plainly see irritated, bleeding slashes in his skin where she obviously rushed or mishandled the tools. We've taken our cat to other groomers before--no one else in their right mind inflicts this kind of damage on a healthy, cooperative animal. Our Once-Happy Cat Was a Panicked, Hissing Mess Our normally sweet, affectionate cat came home terrified, his personality completely altered. He hissed at us--his own family--cowered in corners, and spent hours hiding under furniture, trembling. He refused to engage with any of his favorite toys or treats. He was in a full panic. Whatever "technique" this groomer used traumatized him beyond belief. Quite frankly, it felt like we picked up a stranger from the shop--an anxious, broken version of the cat we dropped off that morning. Pushing an Unreasonable Subscription Plan Instead of acknowledging their horrific performance, the groomer had the gall to pitch us a subscription plan--a monthly grooming plan--for an outrageous fee. They tried to convince us that our cat "needed" this routine maintenance. Are you kidding? After the physical and emotional trauma their so-called "service" inflicted, the last thing we want is to trust them near our cat again. This pushy upsell felt downright predatory: gouging a raw deal to "maintain" a pet they'd already harmed. Final Verdict: Avoid This Place at All Costs If you love your animal, do not, under any circumstances, take them here. I'm seething that we even gave them a chance. Every parent of a cat knows that trust and safety come first. This groomer not only violated that trust but injured our cat both physically and mentally. They clearly lack basic compassion, competence, or respect for the creatures they claim to care for. Save yourself--and your pet--from this horror. Take your cat to a groomer who actually cares about--and knows how to handle--animals safely. Our experience here was nothing short of negligence bordering on cruelty. We're deeply angry, heartbroken for our cat, and will never forgive the damage they inflicted.
