This company has been outstanding from start to finish! We were looking to put a runner on our…read morestairs and hoping we could get it done prior to Thanksgiving. This was about 2 1/2 weeks ago. The second I looked them up on Angi. Someone called me and the ball was rolling instantly. I communicated with Allison and she kept me up-to-date on everything and let me know when one of the guys was coming out. A fantastic, friendly and easy person to work with. Jeremy was the first one to come, and he was very personable and seemed genuine from the second he came in. He offered us different options, gave us some opinions, but ultimately left it up to us. When we asked about the chances of it being put in before Thanksgiving, he said he felt very good about it, could not promise anything, but would do his very best. The carpet was just installed today and it looks amazing. Chris is the one who came out to make sure everything was measured the way we wanted how much carpet vs floor would show. He did the installation. Promptly here at 10:00 am. He was beyond incredible. Not only did he once more walk us through everything before he started, but he fixed a small issue we have been having with our top step where there is a decent gap between the stair and the wood, We have not been able to fix it. He said he could take a look at it for us and he fixed it. Then on his own without any asking he went and re-glued some of our spindles that were just loose. When you would walk down the stairs, they would make a little rattling sound, but he fixed that for us on his own time. I would recommend them 100%. They were spot on, great communicators, very personable and did a fantastic job.

Professional and efficient service. Carpet replacement in three rooms and steps. Looks good!read more

This portion of my review is for the customer service, design team and the purchasing process. 5…read morestars. Great experience. I first visited and selected my tiles for a bathroom 4 months ago. My project was delayed so I didn't make the purchase until August 5. Bobbie was terrific. Great ideas, patient, fun to work with. Great selection at many price points. As much as I prefer to 'shop local', I'm this case it just couldn't work out. I recommend Floor & Decor. Also, when just browsing the salespeople are not breathing down your neck. Now the pickup... As for the pickup process, I'm quite dissatisfied at the moment. I am holding off on an individual review for the pickup until I cool down. At the moment it's 0 stars. I am currently in the parking lot. I understand being short-staffed. However, common courtesy is lacking here in a big way. In my opinion this is a combination of passive customer service from the employee and downright rudeness by another customer. I walked into the pickup area and there was no one there to help. I waited a several minutes and then went to the cashier. They said it might be a bit but they would try to find someone. Not a big deal, I can wait. When someone came to help me he looked at my receipt and ID and told me to pull into one of the pickup bays. There was another customer (male) behind me waiting. Note: I was there first. The other customer and someone else with him were already pulled into the pickup bays. Common courtesy might have been to volunteer to move a vehicle and wait their turn. At the very least the employee should have asked them to move one vehicle. He did not even ask. It was not my responsibility or my place to ask them to move. Management implied this happens frequently and most of the time the customers already in the bay will not move. They loaded the other customer first which took an estimated 15-20 min. It was long enough for me to go to the sales floor and speak with the designer I worked with to tell them what was happening and write most of this review. Tiles were loaded in my car. My suggestion is to maybe place cones or something in front of the bays until the customer is instructed to pull in. I know it's a hassle but I'm pretty miffed that this pickup took almost as long as picking out the tile simply because a customer wouldn't wait their turn and the employee didn't even ask them to move!

Okay, so earlier this week I was angry with you empire for a couple reasons. But as I'll explain…read morebelow, you've really come a long way to rectify and impress me with your customer service. Here's what happened. A few weeks ago I purchased Cool Breeze carpet for my whole house to go over the tiles that are currently in place in every room and Northbrook Terrace vinyl plank flooring to go over tiles in kitchen, dining room, and butlers pantry. Install date 7/19 arrives and the install team lead by Juan arrives (very nice, professional and knowledgeable) they do the walk through and inform us that the carpet can't be laid over tiles, it's the wrong type. You can imagine our frustration, our salesman completely screwed up. $11,000 is a big screw up. Juan was trying hard to make it right, but he couldn't, he wanted to at least put down the vinyl but alas he didn't have the right transition moulding to do that without carpeting. But dude was really trying! So, by this point I'm totally ticked, salesmen are supposed to know their products! Needless to say at this point my house is in complete disarray as I'm ready for flooring, I'm upset and now don't know what my options are. So I get a hold of the salesman who is going to come back out to my house Monday evening and show me products that will work over my tile floors and try to save the sale. He shows up and is of course apologetic, he's a nice person so I try to make the best of the situation and let him show me the products; we find one that is suitable sign the paperwork and find out that now I'm looking at weeks before I can get an install which has just got me beyond depressed because now I have to live with my house essentially torn apart and in chaos because what's the point in unpacking everything that I've put away in order to prepare it for install and do twice the work? So before he leaves he gives me the customer service managers phone number for the area John Merrell, so I call him the next day which was Tuesday the 20th and leave him a voicemail he calls me back within the hour and immediately starts to try to make everything right. Boy howdy did he, this man went above and beyond to make it right! Suffice to say my new flooring guaranteed to work in my house is getting installed tomorrow. Talk about customer service! I am very impressed on how empire took a negative and turned it into a positive. They saved me money to boot! So, that being said I'm impressed. The reason I initially picked empire was because the products are made in America and are mostly all recycled or have a lot of recycled product in them, but the reason I chose to stay with empire after the debacle of the wrong product was their outstanding customer service.
