Bottom line up front: Kros Strain Brewing is a world-class hazy IPA destination that every serious…read morecraft beer enthusiast needs to add to their rotation. These are among the best Hazy IPAs I have tasted since visiting Pure Project in San Diego, a brewery widely respected for its mastery of modern hop-forward styles. Kros Strain has clearly developed the technical skill, ingredient selection, and sensory precision required to compete with the very best breweries in the country. Their lineup of Hazy IPAs is deep enough that one visit is merely an introduction. With so many exceptional offerings available, a proper evaluation requires several days of careful tasting. What separates Kros Strain from many breweries chasing hazy IPA mastery is the individuality and refinement of each expression. The beers showcase remarkable control of yeast character, hop biotransformation, and bitterness balance with distinct profiles ranging from saturated tropical fruit and citrus aromatics to layered stone fruit with resinous complexity. For anyone who appreciates world-class NEIPA craftsmanship, Kros Strain is not simply a good local brewery, it is a *destination brewery*. The level of execution, consistency, and creativity rivals the best producers in the modern craft beer landscape, and the breadth of their HIPA portfolio makes Omaha a worthwhile pilgrimage for hop enthusiasts.

We had just settled in with our bottles of Bud Light and Miller Lite when the bartender offered to show us around the place. The most striking feature of the main bar area is its antique elevator. Originally used by the department store, it is still used today for bring in cases of beer and taking out the trash. This unique elevator is hand-operated, using an intricate system of pulleys to allow the operator to raise and lower themselves and a heavy load of merchandise with ease by simply pulling a rope. Our bartender demonstrated how simple it was to use. As we toured the bar we were surprised to find a dance room in back, complete with setups for pole dancing and cage dancing. (The camera we had with us on this visit had no flash, hence the "night vision" photo below.) The owner had the stage and dance area constructed in 2004 and had plans to bring in exotic dancers from time to time to "bring a little life" to town. But City Hall got wind of the idea and put a stop to it before it ever took off. Nonetheless is still makes a good stage for local and touring bands.

We had a blast sampling some german beers, which, low key are so underrated! Then the Husker game was starting and the quiet basement quickly filled with Husker fans .The large picnic style tables allowed us to watch a thrilling game. We ate a pretzel, got some boots, and enjoyed some great company and great fare. I will definitely be returning and updating my review much sooner!
