I needed a quick adjustment and my normal Chiropractor was not in. My wife comes here and recommended this place. I called in and told them my situation: I have a normal chiropractor but needed an adjustment. They were happy to see me immediately Within 15 minutes of me calling. I was greeted soon as I walked in. There were quite a few people in the waiting room. I had to fill out a few forms mostly sitting I know what chiropractors do and then I have my own. Now here comes the interesting part: I was escorted to a tiny room. I was told this is where I would leave anything in my pockets and then I was given a number. The receptionist told me a soon as I was ready, slide the number through a tiny slot. The chiropractor would open the other door When it was my turn. There was a small TV and things to read in the tiny room. This is definitely unique. I left my phone and wallet in the tiny room when the chiropractor Took me to the main room. A very enjoyable part of this visit, besides how nice the chiropractor was, is the automated table. I stand against the bed, and I am slowly lowered onto my front side. No effort needed LOL. The back doctor asked a few questions about why I was there, and then asked me how I normally am adjusted. I really enjoyed this style and the way they treated me. The automated table as well as a tiny waiting room where I can leave my valuables and not worry about stuff in my pockets. I would give this six stars if I could. read more

I've been going to Dr. Amanda for several weeks now, so I'm confident at this point in saying that chiropractic is really helping me. I work as an inpatient x-Ray tech which is a very physically demanding job. I do a lot of patient moving and machine moving, I love things down low and over my head and reach and bend and twist and push and pull all day long at work. I started having some pain in my right shoulder and tingling/numbness down into my right arm and hand. It was getting to the point it was keeping me up at night. Massage was helping, but the benefits were only lasting a couple of days. My personal trainer finally suggested that it might actually be caused by my neck. Why didn't I ever think of that?! At my initial visit, they took a full set of back X-rays as well as doing a physical exam. Doctor Amanda worked out a treatment plan based on those results. I felt relief after my first adjustment. I went 3 times a week for the first few weeks and am now down to twice a week. The adjustments have been working little by little. Now my arm and hand only fall asleep sporadically. She had warned me that it can take time to work because our back muscles can get "programmed" to pull a certain way when our backs are out of alignment and that they'll resist the adjustments but I can feel improvements every time I go. The most interesting thing (to me... I'm a nerd...) when Dr. Amanda was doing my physical exam, she pressed on a place in my back, and asked if it was tender. I answered in the affirmative and then she asked if I ever have heartburn. Ummm yeah like 98% of the time, I have heartburn. Apparently that's a common problem if that area of the back has a subluxation. She thinks that eventually the adjustments could help the heartburn go away. So what else makes this a 5-star kind of place? THE PEOPLE! The ladies that work in the office are fantastic. They're so nice, and always greet me by name. It feels like they care, you know? I'm not just another anonymous patient. Dr. Amanda is very nice and Dr. Tom is, as well though I usually don't see him. They're very prompt, I'm in and out of the office within 15 minutes every time. And the office is very clean and neat. And extra points for always playing good music! read more

I've recently started going to The Back Doctors with Dr. Amanda. So far so good! I've been going to chiropractors all my life, and I have to admit that the set-up for this office is a bit different from what I'm used to - instead of getting your ice-pack treatment (or rollers, or heat, or what-have-you) in the office, they seem to not offer those services at all. Instead you ice up on your own time - which works if you're in a hurry, although I've always felt that getting ice immediately afterwards was more beneficial than waiting until you got home. They also use the Gonstead technique, which I don't think I've ever been exposed to. Part of the technique involves the use of a little instrument that measures the temperature along the spine (indicating if your nerve is getting pinched or not) - this gadget is used for every visit, which is great because the health of your spine is constantly being reassessed with each visit (rather than relying solely on an x-ray). Speaking of x-rays, I have to say I'm glad that they wouldn't touch my back until they had it processed! Some chiropractors charge right in there, cracking your back before they know what's what. My family and I have been going here for years! Both Amanda and Tom do a wonderful job with helping my back and neck pain. I work as a dental hygienest so I usually will get sore wrists and they adjust those as well! They also have worked on my husband (who has neck problems) and my two daughters, one of which has a history of bad back pain. I've been seeing Dr Amanda on and off for over a year for back issues, I hurt it shoveling snow last winter. I went to physical therapy for a month and didnt get much relief, went to the back doctors and got immediate relief, continued seeing her for about a month and I'm feeling great. I go in when it flares up and my exercises and my inversition table don't do the trick. She is amazing and the staff is great, they get me in with little or no notice. We have been seeing doctor Tom ( and Amanda) for years now. It started when I was having lower back pain and plantar fasciitis in my feet. I came in with pain that made it difficult to walk and just a few treatments took care of most of my issues, only need maintenance now. He has significantly helped me with and re-injuries of my back since then. He helped with my husband's shoulder injury from a car accident.
