She has this amazing ability to figure out what looks good on you even when you don't know what you want. Austin is the kind of barber you find and then keep for life. She also did all of the shaves, haircuts, & styling for all of the groomsmen for my wedding. She picked just the right iconic style. I'm incredibly insulted that Lauren (the owner of the Beauty Artisan-Murrieta) had such little respect for the clients that have supported her and her business from the very beginning. It would have been nice for her to post something on the Beauty Artisan informing the clientele that the salon was closing. This is not on any of the stylists that worked there, this was her responsibility. The lack of respect she has for the people that helped build her "empire" is inexcusable and it has not gone unnoticed. I'm shocked this place has any good reviews. They offer a free blow-dry for new customers. I made an appointment for 11:30am. I walk in and sit down and no one greets me for 15 minutes. I then ask one of the stylists if Amanda is there. She says oh let me get her. Amanda walks out 5 minutes later and says I thought your appointment was at 12:30pm. I told her it was 11:30am. She then proceeds to tell me that she doesn't offer free blowouts. She said I know you booked it online as free but it will be $65. I said I wish someone would have called me. She said oh I couldn't message you through the app. I said but you have my phone number. She then said she could only use the app and that no one was available to call me. She said she could still do it but it will $65. Just because of principle, there is no way that I would pay that. This is clearly a bait and switch tactic! Amanda wasn't even apologetic and kept blaming the owner. She was just full of excuses and very unprofessional. Beware of the "free blowout"! I am really sad about the owners response because I was always polite and I never made another account. The owner never confirmed my first appointment until the morning of the appointment and by that time I had already made an appointment else where. She even apologized for the delay. For a Christian business owner, you would think she would stand by her word and not be so deceptive. I also never made another profile. I used the same one to make the appointment. If you want natural looking blonde highlights/balayage I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I booked my appointment with Raquel and had very high hopes, especially given the $500 I knew it was going to be paying. I was honestly expecting my hair to be amazing and if anyone is going to charge that much it very well should be. I literally just wanted a FULL BALAYAGE and showed pictures. I will say it looked fine styled with curls leaving the salon, the money piece was a little thick, but I figured I needed to warm up to it. I didn't realize how bad it was until the next morning when the curls loosened up(in the photos below) I brushed it out and was instantly in tears because A) how much money I basically threw in the trash and B) how awful my hair looked. I felt so stupid. I obviously had to go to work that week and have never felt so embarrassed to be seen like that. My hair was ashy at the bottom and yellow-orange at the top, completely unblended from the brown to blonde, I felt like I had a stripe of blonde in my hair. I message Raquel and asked for at least half my money back, of course that was a no as it's in the policy. I understand products were used, but the lack detail put in is unacceptable and I very well should be given at least HALF my money back. Especially the given the false advertising images of hair on her instagram no one should ever filter hair! Charge the amount worth the quality of work you're going to give. She did offer to add more complimentary highlights, but at this point I did not trust her to fix it correctly. Luckily, my coworker recommended a stylist who was able to fit me into her busy schedule and she worked on my hair till late at night and charged me not even close to what I paid originally. That said shows that the amount being charged doesn't always mean high quality work. Thankfully, my hair is fixed now and I have learned my lesson and will never recommend or be back to the Artisan Palor. read more

However when I came back for my touch up appointment she informed me that she wouldn't be able to do it because she was sick. Nobody ever called me to cancel my appointment! Now against my better judgment, I needed a haircut and color so I decided to try one of the girls there named Celine because she had the soonest opening. When I arrived for my appointment I was told she wasn't scheduled to work that day! What??? I requested that the receptionist call her to see what was going on and I was told "she has her phone blocked"! Again, what??? Unbelievable! We showed up and again were greeted by a locked door and then in the ended our stylist was a no show.
