I have been going to this Salon for years- it has recently changed ownership and I was a little nervous. But boy- I didn't need to be worried! The aesthetic is so peaceful and clean! I have seen a few of the stylist here- but my go to girl is Britt Aston! I don't even explain myself anymore, I sit in the chair and know I am going to walk out feeling like a million bucks! Do your research on the stylist that you're booked with at this salon. I was booked with Aimee Frett for blonding. After sixteen years in the Industry you'd think she'd know how to do hair. Halfway through my appointment she starts talking about clients who have complained about their hair after she does it. Red flag #1. She bleached my hair and then toned it to a color similar to the color I walked in with. I reached out to the owner (not Aimee because I wouldn't want her to touch my hair again) and the owner said she'd throw a few foils in the front. But I am going to pass on that as that's not what I want. $315 wasted. Learned my lesson. Next time I'll get a referral for a stylist and do my research. Hopefully this can save someone else from having a similar experience. read more

Had an appointment with Karissa and she's great with hair and does really well with curls. Loved my haircut and highlights and the advice she gave me regarding my hair texture. Loved my service so much I even gave her over 20% tips, and always was consistent when it came to over tipping. However Karissa is not accommodating at all, mind you I am coming in from Riverside just to see Karissa and was running 10 minutes late one day due to traffic, I texted her letting her know and she texted me back saying if I was more than 10 minutes late she'd move my appointment to another day. I thought this was due to the reason she may have other appointments back to back the day of mine, but once I got to the salon and had asked what her plans were for the rest of day she informed me I was her last client and she was going home. Another time, I was scheduled for an appointment to get a touch up on my highlights and weeks later she eventually ended up moving my appointment without even asking just a text saying that my appointment was moved, didn't end up replying due to having to take care of my sick father who was in the hospital. Finally, was able to text her back a week later informing her about my situation and apologizing for the late reply back and I never got a reply back from her. In my history of going to salons and working with hair stylists I have never been treated with such inflexibility, lack of understanding, and eventually ghosting lol. read more

It's the little things that matter while you're at a salon: carry quality products I love, don't use the cheap stuff on your hair (like some places who have the expensive items in front but use cheap shampoo and conditioner in the back), clean (so important!), use real toilet paper (yep. I called that day and got in via a cancelation to see Randi. I have been to a lot of salons and I know what to expect- there's a certain amount of kardashian glam at most salons, which usually comes with really young hair dressers and often comes with a bit of a lack of authenticity and judgement if you don't come in looking a certain way. It also often comes with a bit of drama, though I hesitate to say that because I'm not one to judge a book by its cover. I have been going to another salon in town and was just tired of being treated like a piece of meat there- if I didn't get color i could feel the hairdresser pressure me into it so she could make $ etc. I just had a baby and also caught covid and had to cancel my appt and didn't get responses from the salon etc etx. After years of loyally always showing up when I book Anyways just decided it was time to find a new place. Found this gem. Expected similar things but refreshingly drastic business model here. You walk in and everything is very organic feeling. All the stylists look comfortable and in neutral calming colors... nothing wrong with makeup, but they all had minimalistic natural looks and felt very calming and zen in there...no upsells, no shame for not wanting color, nothing like that. Randi was a very level and special person and maybe her energy is a good example for the rest of the place but she seemed to agree that this was a special salon which is why she drives so far to work there. You just don't have this kind of low key yet luxurious judgement free experience anywhere else and I really appreciated it given all I've been through the past few months. 5 stars, this will definitely be the new home got my hair needs. Also prices are reasonable which is also appreciated. If you want to relax and have a low key luxury experience without feeling hustled... this is where to go. She not only listens carefully to my requests but she intuitively does her creative magic every time. My hair has never been healthier and the grow out in between appointments is perfect. MARISSA CRANE,,,,the experience I had at this place after 4 years of being with my hair stylist and trusting in her and being as loyal as I was to her I am so hurt, angry , mad, disappointed that she could ever do this to me. Marissa Crane not only damaged my hair turned it green and over charged me on extensions says $2000 but I'll give you my price at $1800? and I've had extensions before with bellahami a year before this so I couldn't understand why it was $1000 more but again I trusted her. I gave her the money in 2 split payments a week apart while I waited 2 months to put my extensions in. She wanted to put me in on Valentine's Day,She took a client before me which I thought was strange because something like this can take up to 7 hrs! She did everything in less than 4 hrs!??? I was looking down the whole time because I was able to get my work done on my phone so I didn't think anything of it? She curled it of course so I didn't even realize that my hair was all wrong til the next morning! There was no blending, everything is hurried because she kept talking about going home to her husband because he was making steak like wait what? I waited 2 months for this. I was not only a LOYAL CLIENT FOR 4 years, I was also under her for Monat for 2 years so she's making commission off me as well. I didn't realize til the next morning when the curls came out n I was trying to curl it like what what's happening here? I also paid $430 for install and color and I gave her a $100 tip. So I sent a clip of my hair like what's going on you let me leave like this? She basically said oh yea I can put you in another day next week and it's a QUICK FIX to bring the brown more down on the extensions like wait what? I invested into my hair and that's what I get it was guna be almost 2 weeks til I got in again because she was going on her trip. When she kept saying it was a quick fix more than once was a red flag like this isn't supposed to be quick. I INSTANTLY found someone new who didn't know me but wanted to help me so I went in for a consultation to see what she can do and took pictures of the damage on my hair and even how she put in the extensions was rushed. My new girl said you need to ask for some of your money back this isn't right and I have to charge you my prices which I understand. At first I wasn't upset because I didn't know how bad it was til I saw the pics of my head!!! I sent her the pics of my hair n said I got a consultation and I need my hair completely fixed can I please have the install and color money back please. She literally went off through text and said I insulted her?? And that's 5 hrs of her life??? And said I'm only giving you the $150 for install back and the tip that's it! Right away blocked me through all of social media. I'm the one who should be upset! I went in that Saturday to my new girl and had to redye all my hair and chop off my ends because it green and had so much damage. At that point I was now even more upset I started to cry and had to wait almost another whole week for my extensions but not only that my hair has to be in recovery for 2 years because of the damage!! I spent another $175 with my new girl on just my hair alone, another $375 to fix and color the right blend with my hair and the extensions as well as another $150 in products to help recover my hair! So I went about explaining it on my ig and her mutual friends saw my story and then unblocked me to reach out and say I'm the one being nasty? So she then gave me back the rest of the install money but at that point I need some of that extensions money too because of more money that I have to invest in!! She has the pictures of my hair and clearly is embarrassed and has no integrity to even give me a portion of the extensions money after what I have to go through ? After being loyal to you for years and buying Monat from you for years and also referring people I knew to you and you can't even be the bigger person and apologize and give me back and the money i keep forking out?!! Here you go! You clearly need to take more classes and invest in yourself, overcharging for this type of work should be an art, that is not what I got! read more

I get my hair done by Paige Ferguson and I have been going to her for over 6 months now and she kills it every-time! I usually ask for her to make me a bright & ashy blonde, and I always so feel so confident walking out of the salon. I wanted a big change from straight long hair down my back to bangs and a layered mid length cut with some sort of highlighting in it. I booked an appointment through the salon and cancelled at midnight the day before due to a proven medical issue - I made the effort to call from the TV ER and you can hear it in the background. I did my honest due diligence to free someone's space up for another appointment and their response was through a curt text saying they do not appreciate cancellations and any further bookings will entail a non-refundable booking fee and a pre-charge of 50% of services. When I expressed my irritation they said they didn't appreciate that either and would now charge me a no show cancellation for not showing up within 'their timeframe for cancellations - 48 hours. I never got to see their services and had high hopes. Such unfortunately poor policies on behalf of the customer for a 'first strike' that should not have even been a strike in the first place. read more

I have been to probably 10+ salons in the Temecula area. I don't get my hair done super often, but I come in every 4 months or so for balayage and a trim. I have been on the hunt for a hair-girl since I moved here in 2009. I feel that getting my hair done is a luxury that we pay for. And I feel that Mojave Rain Salon hits every mark of customer service. The salon has a beautiful, relaxing aesthetic. You are greeted by a gorgeous front desk, and woman who asks if you want anything to drink while you wait for your service, Jaime went over the health of my hair, and my expectations for my salon visit. I came in for a fresh haircut, and she massaged my scalp for maybe 15 minutes at the bowl (I have paid hundreds of dollars in other salons, without any head massage), where the music and lighting puts you into immediate relaxation mode. Jaime took her time with cutting my hair, gave me a great blow out and style, and I will be a returning customer for sure. I have told multiple friends about the service and attention I received at Mojave Rain! This salon is top notch and what every woman deserves to be treated to! read more
