I know there are cheaper big box stores but as they say you pay for what you get and I did try those others before and was disappointed. I'm sticking with Robert through and through. With his impeccable taste he helped pick out the frames and they turned out great. And an added plus he gives military discounts.

I had the pleasure of working with Robert Platz (owner of RPO Framing and Gallery) during 2 events this last holiday season, along with joining him during one of his gallery openings. I have nothing but respect and admiration for this guy and the space he's created. He is a true community builder, artist and emissary of local arts! His eye for talent, his eye for matting and framing, his joy in community from poetry readings to live music to racing watch parties... he's just a true jewel for the art community in Denver. If you're looking for new work in your space or have been waiting for the perfect moment to frame that treasured piece, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not swinging by RPO Framing and Gallery first... plus, it'll save ya the time and headache of shopping anywhere else!

My degrees look amazing together and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Fast forward quite a bit, we recommended Masten to my in-laws to get a very large painting re-framed. They were able to accommodate it (despite it's huge size) and did an outstanding job - we all sat and admired how many colors were in the painting that we did not see with the old silver frame once we hung the newly framed art piece. Thank you, Masten!

He appears to have issues with his credit card processor, which he needs to address. He is a nice man, going through some difficult times and I wish him the best.

Greg helped me right away and listened to what I was envisioning for the frames, the places I hoped to hang my art and he helped narrow down the choices for me. One of these days, I'd love to just look at the art they're selling and all the different frame options. Apparently, there are over 3,000 options to choose from!

I really liked working with Brian, who always polite, kind and always conscientiously made sure my artist discount was meticulously included, but he wasn't there last time. Brian is why this review has two stars and not one. Here's the thing: if I'm going to be paying well for gallery wrapping, I expect the job to be done well. In prepping for my last show in which I'd ordered seven prints and two originals to be gallery wrapped, I was disappointed to see that one of my originals had noticeable ripples in the stapled wrapping. It was not a professional job. On an original. Ouch. Not what I expected from a quality frame shop. (See photo). But what really put a fork in it, was the fact that I tried them one more time, on a limited edition print gallery wrap. I picked it up, paid more than I have before, and discovered when I fully unwrapped it at home, that it was semi loose on it's frame: It was not pulled tight, the way it ought to be. It ought to be as tight as a drum. It was loose. Very shoddy. I guess, moral is: do check your gallery wrapped prints BEFORE you leave the store, making sure they are unwrapped all the way from the brown paper packaging. I made the mistake of trusting Metropolitan's reputation and was very disappointed by doing so. I will not go back again.

If you live in North Denver, don't even think of going anywhere else to have something framed…read more I was looking for a place to have a poster framed for my grand son. I did not want to spend a boat-load of money - yes, I love my grand son more that life itself but he is only one year old after all and would not really appreciate and $500 frame. Anyway, Eddy from The Corner Custom Framing took care of everything. He suggested several frames that wouldn't break the bank but that looked great with the piece. He literally has hundreds of frame sample in his shop and he went directly to a particular frame (which I would never have seen) that was absolutely perfect because it matched the "theme" of the poster. I on the other hand would have chosen a boring white or black mat frame because I didn't imagine other possibilities. Eddy then explained the glass options and made a recommendation which I agreed with. He then asked when I needed the piece and committed to have it ready three days earlier than the date I needed it. So far I was having a really great experience, not only because I'm clearly dealing with someone who knows what he's doing but because he clearly loves his craft, and appreciates his customers. Lastly, Eddy suggests that I give him my email address so that he can send me a photo of the finished framed product - that way he could gift wrap it for me (complimentary, of course). He hit it out of the park at this point (sorry for the sports analogy). On the day promised, I received an email from Eddy with a photo attached of the framed posted - it looked perfect. When I went in to pick it up, I was presented with a beautifully wrapped package. I even got a hug from Eddy. So friendly, so competent, so professional, so committed to providing every customer with a unique and special customer experience. Oh - and they have a parking lot too. Just the best!
