They individualize support based on each child's needs and communication is excellent! I get weekly newsletters from the teachers keeping me in the know with what is happening at school. Brightwheel and seesaw are two apps used by the ECC- both apps share videos, pictures, and notes to parents all day long. There's an option to add aftercare which is a necessity for working parents like me. The administration is excellent and very responsive, especially Dr. Cheryl Bahar! Every interaction with her has helped put me at ease and fall more in love with the school and how it functions. We love all the teachers, staff, and other families- it's really a special place. So special that my brother decided to send his four children to Gottesman as well. Now our children are getting this incredible experience of growing up going to the same amazing school with their cousins!

My son was using a walker. I spent the next couple of years doing intensive physical therapy with my son. My son is now walking with braces and does not need a walker. We applied again. I gave the public school information to Dr. Behar. Before all the paperwork was given, and before all the letters from his previous teachers were given , a standard email rejection was delivered to me. What bothers me about this school is that they didn't even give him a chance or meet him. They don't take kids with special needs at this school.

They are extremely safe regarding COVID at all grade levels and separate everyone into cohorts, so whenever there is exposure, we don't need to shut down the entire school. This entire school year, we have not yet had to stay at home due to COVID, which wasn't the case at the last school we enrolled our son in. As for his learning, his language has really exploded while being enrolled in the school. He has even started playing with other children so well and being interested in their activities, which I attribute to the great socialization at Buckley. My son loves going to school every morning. His teachers, Miss Susan and Miss April, are so wonderful and provide great updates on his progress as well as his classmates. The Buckley community as a whole is very welcoming and inclusive. Would definitely recommend!

The curriculum is unique in the Poconos: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), combined with majority project-based learning, provided in a movement-rich environment, combined with small class sizes, personalized instruction, and a student-run civics and governance model which allows the students to partially participate in the development and enforcement of rules, as a means to teach responsibility and the democratic process. The teachers are wonderful. The administration is caring and devoted. Summit School is everything my wife and I had hoped in a school for our daughter. It's one of the reasons we remain in the area. We're grateful that this grassroots school was created, started and run by members of the local community, and now thrives.

We did not have a science teacher and it was not only one grade per classroom but anywhere from 2-4 grades. Before paying the fee we informed them that I have high levels of anxiety and depression. These things started to increase while I was attending this school. They sent me home for crying and made me leave the classroom while trying to calm down. I barely was able to complete course work. The kids have foul mouths that the teachers hear and then don't address. They don't take things seriously when it comes to feeling excluded or unwelcome. It is not worth the money.
