Also my mil and I went in looking to buy some sage after being in a store down the street and feeling an attachment of energy, asked the lady at the desk if she'd be willing to sage us. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. I didn't catch her name but girl thank you so much!

On facebook, the reply came and said, "Sure, come on down and we will take a look at them." A couple days later, I took the records down to the antique store. When I brought them in, I was told, "We aren't interested in records." I said, "The person running your Facebook profile said that you would take them and to bring them in." He then responded, "It wasn't me. We have five people who work here. I know I didn't tell you to bring them in" I then asked, "Why was I told on your facebook page that you would take them if you weren't going to?" he answered, "I didn't say I would take them. I don't run the Facebook page. We are not interested in buying the records." This is so frustrating. This is the third business I am told to come down with stuff they are interested in and getting there and being told they are not taking them. The worst part was that he didn't even go looking or asking to see who said that and he never apologized for the miscommunication. Very poor customer service. Never going there again.

You can get NEW furniture cheaper at Walmart. It wasn't even solid wood, it was some wood veneer stuff. I mentioned something at the front and they went hard about oUr MiNiStRy and all of the programs they support. Which is fine and all, but the ministry can ALSO support low income people by not charging offensive prices on items they get for free. God only knows if they really use the money responsibly. (Also the lady who checked me out was standoffish with me from the get go, before I even opened my mouth to say hi.) The expectation, when one donates to a thrift store, is that their items will go to someone else who needs those items at an affordable price. Not that some organization will use the items to do charity gymnastics by overcharging. They should be focused first and foremost on ministering to the low-income people who come to thrift stores to get affordable furniture. Not freaking $300 for a small sideboard buffet. Anyway so I would recommend donating your furniture to the ARC rather than here, if you want to see it actually passed on affordably to families in need. But if you're looking to buy clothes, this is unfortunately probably the better bet in town. I feel gross giving them my money now. I think it's disgusting when any thrift shop takes advantage of donations finance their special interests. Just let people have somewhere affordable to shop; Lord knows we need it in this economy.

My confirmable transaction with them produced a set of issues. When this occurred I checked around and learned that some others have had difficulty dealing with this company already, new as it is. Some of the reputation issues seem to come from the founder's background. There are a lot of sources around, perhaps better to look elsewhere. He got me a quote within about 5-7 days of course the price for the repairs I couldn't beat! The knowledge and knowing he was going to fix it correctly the first time (and tune it some as it has never been tuned with over 500 miles on it) was something I was willing to pay and expert to do. And it's exactly what I needed. He was so kind and willing and helpful to answer questions I had but mainly we just talked as I am quite comfortable with bikes and motorcycles I just needed that confirmation that the frame was indeed sound and that the parts that needed to be replaced were down correctly. Vance reminds me of my brother very old school yet thorough with his work and doesn't nickel and dime you just cause. I paid a very fair price for his experience/time and his keen eye I feel safe back on my bike and have tuned up brakes to boot! I am not sure what the problem is in the 7 plus year ago comments probably had a bad apple working in their shop and it bled over into the reviews. But my take on him and his lovely wife is A++++ shop! Also- I think a lot of people are in such a hurry for their things to be done. I just sent it over and got out of his way- when I got a call I got a call. I never called or dogged him for an eta I let him do his work on his time. I think people get into that "when's my stuff done" mentality and that's when you get a tough time working with folks. I always approach things with catching more flies with honey! He's has one cool little shop and even a cool mini lift for his bikes which I thought was soooo cool! He's got it down to a science to make his job easier and I love that for them!
