Definitely worth a stop if you are anywhere near it and looking for a good source of military surplus items. About the only "complaint" I have is one common for military surplus shops, they have very desirable items on display that are not for sale! I know it adds to the ambiance of the store, but it kills me when I see something I really want but cannot buy it! :D Luckily, at U.S. Surplus they have such a great selection it makes up for the items that aren't for sale!

As I recall, the sales rep was cautiously watching my reaction, when he scanned and stole my information. Sportsman policy is to never asked for the customer's info, just steal it. I thought scanning my info was another violation of my constitutional rights by the state. But the state does not require copied or reported data, just a visually confirmation of the buyer's age. Deceptive product description led to a waste of $20…read more Purchased a Knight's Armament Company 2-rib rail cover, new for $20 shipped. Very deceptive product and product description: "...these panels are compatible with other handguards with MIL-STD-1913 rail systems." Not true; more accurate to say these panels fit AROUND any MIL-STD-1913 rail system but ONLY lock into an authentic Knight's Armament Company rail system. If your rail is not an authentic KAC rail, these panels will slide onto the rails but not lock into place. Therefore these rail panels slide around uselessly on non-KAC rails. However, authentic KAC rails ($250 apiece new) have additional milling cut into them specifically for their proprietary rail covers. Look it up... wish I did. But more importantly, I wish Mod Armory listed that important fact in their product description.

The typical assortment of Condor products, assorted gloves and a range of boot options. Overall not bad selection wise as the products include decent brands like Oakley, CRKT ect. What really stands out is the customer service though. The employees are always very helpful with whatever you need and seem to be pretty knowledgeable about the products. The assistant manager Venessa stands out as one of the most friendly and personable and also greets me warmly and has small talk when I come in. Overall it's the type of place you shop at if your a new soldier who doesn't know much about high end equitment, your in a pinch and need an item now or you drop by on a whim to browse and small talk.
