Definitely worth a stop if you are anywhere near it and looking for a good source of military surplus items. About the only "complaint" I have is one common for military surplus shops, they have very desirable items on display that are not for sale! I know it adds to the ambiance of the store, but it kills me when I see something I really want but cannot buy it! :D Luckily, at U.S. Surplus they have such a great selection it makes up for the items that aren't for sale!

What really stands out is the customer service though. The employees are always very helpful with whatever you need and seem to be pretty knowledgeable about the products. The assistant manager Venessa stands out as one of the most friendly and personable and also greets me warmly and has small talk when I come in. Overall it's the type of place you shop at if your a new soldier who doesn't know much about high end equitment, your in a pinch and need an item now or you drop by on a whim to browse and small talk.

The hub had obviously been reassembled wrongly and was out of alignment for rims to brakes and for hub assembly to slots in stays. We had our own raft, and while helmets are indeed optional, they say this is because they have never once had a head injury in 30 plus years of business.
