I was shopping for a new lower and I saw on on the manufacturers website they were an authorized dealer. So I called and spoke to Mike. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions and gave me a great price! He even matched an online vendors price!!! Which if you don't know is great because online prices are insanely low. Bought my first gun here (Glock 17) for $525 (retail price: $550) and the man at the counter answered all of the questions I had and was chill. The firearm safety exam here was pretty easy and nearly all of the questions were easy to understand (I only missed 3 questions but I'd still recommend studying and doing practice exams online). I had cash in hand doing some shopping. The shop was smaller but had a nice stock, prices were reasonable for the area. My biggest complaint is the staff. This shop did not have what I was looking for so I asked the gentleman what other shops were in the area. He acted like he didn't know about the dozen or more other shops in Fresno and basically told me that his shop was my only choice. Did he not think I have access to google? I have seen this in multiple gun shops and I think it's disgusting and hurts the gun community. Help your fellow businesses get the business they deserve when you don't have what the customer wants. I will NEVER go to this gun store again!! The employees are VERY RUDE!! My fiance and I entered the shop to browse selection (which they had almost nothing) and the guy behind the counter says to us, "We can only allow two people in the store at a time. One of you has to leave now." Because there was already a customer standing by the register. She stood there quietly by the front door while I quickly walked around the shop to look at the inventory and the clerk says in an aggressive tone "YOU NEED TO GET OUT." to my fiance. "The Armory" a gun dealer in Fresno, California has defrauded me out of 270 plus dollars on a pistol transfer. I purchased a pistol in another state that was on the California Ok to buy list and had it transferred to the Licensed Gun Dealer "The Armory" in Fresno California. The pistol arrived at The Armory. I went to the store and filled out the paperwork to have the pistol transfer to me. I filled out all the required paperwork and paid the $270 they charged which including sales tax on a $1300.00 pistol. After a 40 day delay, I went in to pick up the pistol as California Law Allowed. The dealer said they decided to not deliver or transfer the pistol to me even though I was not a prohibited person. I asked for my money back after waiting for the DOJ to send them updated and corrected information. They said the person who could make the refund was not there. They said they would contact him and he would give me a call. The call never came. I went back to The Armory three times trying to get my money back. Each time they had an excuse (The Skin Of A Reason, Stuffed With A Lie) for not refunding my money. Again the person who could make the refund was not there and they said he only worked part-time and they didn't know when he would be back to work but they would have him call me. The call never came. I went back the third and last time and this time they said they had no record of me every paying them anything. They said their computer had no information about me paying them any money. I wonder if that makes me a Troublemaker if I keep asking for my money back? The reason I say that is because the first day I went in to the store, the person behind the counter showed me his concealed carry pistol he had on him. UPDATE: Because of my initial unbiased review of the The Armory on Google, Mike decided to be condescending and tell me when I walked in to pick up my lower receiver that he would "Get to it when he gets to it" (despite them having it already delivered) yet again. If Yelp would let me, I would give this company 0 stars. This place isn't amazing and it isn't horrible. The people who run this shop have the cheapest online FFL transfers in Fresno. However whenever I do it takes them forever to check their email and send a reply to the company I'm buying the firearm from. When I do call I get a reply like from Mike where he literally says "Uhh OK well we'll get to it whenever we get to it" in a rude tone. When Tegra Arms (the transferer) emailed me they told me they called and someone answered the phone and said the same thing. Two weeks have gone by and they still haven't "gotten around to it". Mind you, I've gone to the place numerous occasions to do transfers and have bought 1 complete firearms from them. This happens every time I do an online FFL transfer (I've done roughly four now). I'm being nice on my rating of them despite smug attitudes. FFL Transfer Pricing: 4 Stars Customer Service: 0 Stars Recommendation: Adjust your attitudes and enhance customer service/retention. This is not your typical gun store. I went in there while I was in Fresno waiting for someone to kill time. The shop was clean and updated, the staff was super professional and not pushy and we're excited to answer all questions. Even when I told them I wasn't buying a gun. I came back a couple of weeks later and saw a Sig 220 combat in the display. I handled it for about 5 minutes and talked with the young man helping me. I then purchased it. The whole process was smooth and I felt comfortable spending my money there. Out of all the gun stores in Fresno, this place seemed to be the most professional from shop to employees. Three days ago I would have given five stars. The people are over all good tempered and pleasant. They even did some work in one of my guns for free. The other day I was there and bought three bricks of mini mags. Not paying particular attention to what was going on. I had asked how much just the 22Lrs were and they gave me the price but I wasn't paying attention. Totally my fault. At any rate, I was thinking boy that seemed high for three bricks of 22. Looked at my receipt and was charged 63.00 for three bricks of mini mag. Not even the round I actually wanted lol. Thought it must have been an error and called. They confirmed they were 21.00. Even if I returned them it's a 30 percent restocking fee. Lol I'm not mad at them it's totally my fault but the average Brock is 7-10 bucks. Lol so... If you are looking for parts and guns and labor these guys are great. Ammo? Prepared to be robbed. Lol read more
