Took the hubs for his birthday to try out a new gun he is thinking of purchasing and he loved it! Very easy-going and friendly staff. The pricing is great, truly a very good deal!! For those who are new or beginning you will have to perform a quick demonstration that you are able to load the mag, insert the mag into the gun, rack it back and then put the safety on. Then you will need to eject the mag, rack it back all the way so the round in the chamber is ejected and then lock it. The good news is, if there is more than one of you, only one of you needs to be able to complete the demonstration. Great experience and I know we will be back! SIDE NOTE You can bring your own ear and eye protection, which I recommend (thankfully I remembered ours). However if you forget, you will have to purchase the items there and they do have some for reasonable prices but it is mandatory to have ear and eye protection.

What's the price of admission (Feb 2024)?

Actually, I was never a member an official member. I didn't shoot enough to warrant it

How much do they charge for the gun rental ammo?

9mm is around $25 a box I believe 380 is about a $1 cheaper, and larger calibers are about $2-3 more so up to $28 for 45.

    What are the hours?

Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM Sunday 10 AM to 6 PM Stop shooting 30 min before closing

I came to use the shooting range and had already completed the e-waiver ahead of time, which made the check-in process quick and easy. I also appreciated receiving a free target with my range fee..it was a nice touch. The store has a great selection of items to browse, which makes it easy to find something that catches your eye. Overall, I had a great time at the range and will definitely be returning. The gentleman that helped me was patient since I am fairly new to the hoby which is obvious and he didn't make me feel uncomfortable which I have found many people treat you a certain way that almost embarrassss you. I liked that their forms were electronic though their policy of you can't rent unless you bring your firearm or a buddy to diminish the possibility of suicide. My guess is they probably had an incident at one point. It is their business so they can make policies of their choice. But what for those who do not have a"buddy" because all people in their life are against fire arms or if they are just coming into the world of ffirarms and are trying to find out what they like. It's like going to a car dealership and not test driving a car. Every one is different and with the amount of money you are going to spend you want to make sure you will enjoy and be able to handle your purchase. The lanes were clean and well maintained and swapping guns from their rental wall was simple and everyone who worked that day were polite and patient and gave recommendations and explained things clearly and in terms that I would understand. If I'm on that side of town and want to get some practice again I likely won't go because of their policy because that would mean I'd have to drive all the way back across town get my firearm and drive back instead of being able to just rent. Again their business their right to make what ever policies they like.

I walked in and immediately went to the firearm purchase lane. During the 5-10 minutes I sat there, nobody stopped me. It wasn't until I asked another associate who was in the ammo section if he could help me with ammo. He looked at me puzzled and said, "No." Of course I thought to myself, "Okay, maybe I should leave," but then he told me to go into the ammo line. Once I was in the ammo line, I didn't wait long before I was signaled over by another associate. This associate's name was Hudson. Long story short, we started chatting, developed a good rapport, and he ended up saving me a ton of money on range ammunition. What could have been a bad experience turned out to be a positive one, and like I said, I ended up going easy on my wallet, which was great. I highly recommend going to Sportsman's Warehouse for any ammunition or firearm needs, given the knowledge that Hudson had after speaking with him.

I went to my local Sportsman Warehouse to select and pick out a firearm. Customers be aware have your patience got on because you're gonna need it because if you either gonna pick up Ammo or starting a paperwork will be your right arm. You will be waiting in a line. They have this new system now where we have a kiosk barcode and you have to scan the barcode and check yourself in and put yourself online currently I've been reading almost 2 hours and barely budged. I'm just here to start the paperwork on my Firearm order. I strongly suggest that they hire some more people or qualify some more people to certified and doing the firearm paperwork process and distribution that is much needed. I rarely ever have to do a 3 to 4 hour wait to start paperwork for the firearm I purchase online. Btw i'm still online waiting to be her fingers crossed.

559 Armory: Unprofessional, Predatory, and Utterly Disgraceful Business Practices…read moreI recently attempted to complete a firearm purchase at 559 Armory, only to be met with egregious overreach, blatant opportunism, and a complete disregard for customer rights and basic fairness. Due to a minor name discrepancy between my prior purchase record (under a nickname variant) and my current identification--fully documented and legally updated--the California DOJ indicated that the dealer retained discretion to proceed with the transfer. This is standard procedure in such cases, allowing responsible dealers to exercise reasonable judgment and facilitate lawful sales. 559 Armory chose instead to categorically refuse, citing internal policy preferences that appear rooted more in personal or political bias than in any legitimate compliance concern. Rather than honoring their role as a licensed firearms dealer committed to upholding Second Amendment rights, they elected to block the transaction entirely--despite the firearm never leaving their inventory and no actual restocking or handling being required. Compounding this refusal, they then imposed a staggering $300 restocking fee on the full refund of my prepaid purchase (including additional magazines I had legitimately acquired). This fee is patently excessive, punitive, and--based on California regulations limiting such charges in firearm transactions--potentially unlawful when no genuine restocking occurs. The result: I was denied my constitutionally protected right to acquire a means of self-defense, lost significant funds to an unjustified penalty, and received zero meaningful assistance or accommodation from staff who seemed more interested in retaining profit than serving customers. This is not the conduct of a reputable firearms retailer. It is the hallmark of a business that exploits regulatory gray areas for financial gain while cloaking itself in selective compliance. Their website touts "lowest fees and pricing" and "best customer experience," yet my experience reveals the opposite: predatory fees, arbitrary gatekeeping, and contempt for paying patrons. To prospective customers in the Central Valley and beyond: Avoid 559 Armory at all costs. Their practices are not merely inconvenient--they are unethical, anti-customer, and fundamentally at odds with the principles they purport to support. Seek out dealers who demonstrate genuine professionalism, transparency, and respect for the law and their clientele. One star is generous; zero would be more accurate if the platform permitted it.
