Amazing and well worth the price - we laughed, we learned to make empanadas, we got fairly buzzed, then enjoyed perfectly grilled filets. So what is the Argentine Experience? You sit at a community table with a dozen other guests. The staff cleverly interacts with the entire group, and you individually - Franco & Laura we're both virtuosos on their stage. Entertainment aside, your wine glass is never empty. There is always something amazing to taste in front of you. When the event is over, you'll wonder how the last three hours flew by so quickly.

I'm going to leave out what exactly we did throughout the night because you can find those in the other reviews. We had SO much fun! The entire staff was awesome and welcoming. The name that smell ice breaker and the cocktail tapas were perfect to help get to know the other guests. I highly recommend getting to know everyone. It enhances the experience. This is definitely a tourist attraction. That said, it's not a bad thing! The food was incredible and plentiful and we met great people. Didn't hurt that I won the empanada making contest!

This experience was so much fun! They kept us laughing and learning for hours. We made Argentinian mixed drinks and yummy traditional food. We recommend it highly

This experience is totally unlike anything we have done before in all our travels. Not that we haven't done wine tasting and cocktail blending and cooking classes/observation before (we have done all these things elsewhere), but the energy, creativity and true expression of the Argentine spirit was beyond comparison. The chef and her team were amazing; every one of her dishes was prepared to perfection (tapas, main courses [including osso buco and beautifully thin sliced sirloin] , desserts...i lost count finally of how many different items they prepared).. Gabriel led the fun with his enthusiastic delivery and creative cocktails, all the way through the event. I lost my list of all the names of the team (Laura, Kevin, Danielle et al ...) but each one contributed to make it a memorable event, individually as well as part of the team. The fact that it is designed for only small groups (2 tables of 6 couples each) made it intimate and interactive. We all came away with recipes for all the dishes and a spontaneous group photo of the attendees with the team.....just because it was a night unlike any other.

Boy, did I step out of my box for this one. And truthfully, I'm glad I did! One of our activities in Buenos Aires was to this empanada-making class that included dinner. If you're thinking "I'm not a chef or cook, I just love to eat" like I was, stow it! It was really fun. This coming from a guy who loathes communal tables! ATMOSPHERE: The two level biz does dual experiences of different food types at almost the same time. Downstairs features a bar and communal high top, and the upstairs where we were, had a service bar (no seats) and another communal high top. THE EXPERIENCE: My spouse and I arrived, were bubbly greeted and were taken upstairs where 4 of the 19 total students were already seated. What an odd moment of silence this was as I'm not a very friendly individual at the get-go. Glasses of wine mixed with apple juice was served, with white wine next. As the room filled, the odd silence was finally broken as more individuals gathered, making small conversation. We met a family from Australia, California and Georgia. Everyone had a great time! Our "teacher" told stories in a comedic way and provided info on the food being presented. Then started the endless follow of red wine throughout the evening. First up was Patagonian trout tartar served on a crostini. It was good, and a light app to start with. We then started the empanada making with a history lesson then hands-on work. We made two empanadas, one the traditional way, the second one being a creative piece of our own to be judged and awarded with a pic on their Facebook page. After sending the traditional one back to be cooked, we then had 10 minutes to create a masterpiece of our own. I had intended on making an American football, but after forming my empanada, a cat's face was beginning to take shape, which I the spent the entire 10 minutes doing! Then, our traditional empanadas were served, along with a hot ceramic platter of cheese balls, a spread of blood & chorizo sausages and lemony-flavored pork strips. Then, another platter comes out full of potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, parsnip and sliced corn on the cob, along with a good-sized cut of filet mignon, cooked perfectly. For dessert was a mini spatula with two cubes of cheese on it topped with an orange and brown cube each, that we were to guess what they were. Turns out the orange one was pumpkin and the brown one was tree fibers soaked in a sugar mixture, which texture wise was very fibrous. Then, we made our own dulce de leche macaroons, dipped in ground coconut and melted chocolate. Last but not least was making our own maté tea. A cup with a steel self-filtering straw, hot water and dried maté tea leaves were brought out. We filled the cup halfway with tea, cupped the top with our palm and shook it to "dust" the tea. Add water and enjoy. Tasted like ordinary tea to me. The creative empanada winner was announced and sadly it wasn't yours truly. We then took a group photo and said our goodbyes. OVERALL: So why not 5 stars? Table seating was tight, and I couldn't see some of the demos since the instructor was at the opposite end of the table. Still, a fun thing to do in BA!

Went here with my dad during our first night in Buenos Aires and had a wonderful time! Met some great new people, the staff was super friendly and made the experience tremendous. If you're looking for a fun activity to do with your friends, family or even by yourself I can't recommend this place enough. We added the mixology portion and it was a great addition to our empanada making and dinner!

A really fun experience where you can make your own cocktails (if that option is purchased), empanadas, mate, and alfajores. The waitresses work hard to keep you entertained the whole evening, while giving (I imagine) scripted presentations and cultural tidbits about Argentine culture. We were given three cocktail demonstrations downstairs at the bar and were able to make a full size one and take it to dinner upstairs, where we were then given a torrontés, pinot noir, and malbec and cab sauvignon blend to go with the dishes. We wore hats and were able to make our own cheese or meat empanadas, one regular one and two with whatever creative shapes we could come up with. The meal proceeded with small bites that started off with trout from Patagonia, some meat (mostly pork) bites, cheese, and proceeded to steak cooked to our liking (unfortunately almost everyone at my table got our steaks cooked a notch higher than what we'd ordered) served with roasted root vegetables, and finished with mate and two rounds of dessert. We were shown how to blend our own mate out from the jar, and make our own alfajores that entailed filling dulce de leche between two sugar cookies, roll the mini sandwich in coconut, then finish by dipping it in chocolate. Overall a really fun and entertaining experience, though I bet the waitresses probably have gone through the same process and told the same jokes many times over to the point of it feeling more like a chore than spontaneous wit. We still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, were very happily fed, and learned a couple of things about Argentine culture for sure.

Delightful snacks to eat while learning. Awesome sausage, flank, and a beautiful bold sausage pastry.

Excellent! A leap above your typical restaurant catering to out of towners! This elegant little spot should be a must stop for anyone visiting Buenos Aires that likes good food! From the beginning they do everything right. Upon entering it is only minutes before the first bites arrive to take the edge of hunger and allow for better listening/learning about the history of Argentina's favorite food. The wine flows, the process of making the empanadas is simple and fun. The whole experience is one of very good food and fine entertainment. As a bonus round they are also open for dinner which I have been told is a glorious two hour affair.

My dad and I attended the Experience (cocktail hour before and dinner) on Sunday, the 16th. The cocktail hour was very fun, with a scent-guessing game and learning how to make three very yummy (all very different) cocktails. Small appetizers accompanied these drinks and all three were delicious. I am happy to say that the cocktail hour appitizers and the dinner have gluten free options, we noted that one part of the group had a gluten allergy/celiac disease and they had great accommodations. Gluten free breads and sweet potato alternatives to bread. They even had gluten free supplies to make empanadas! The dinner had plenty of courses and plenty of wine- they do not skimp on the wine! The small, fried cheese balls (I believe they were called Provolenda?) were so amazing! Need to take this idea home and remake. Steak was also very tasty. They had dessert too (also gluten free options avaliable). This included cookies with dulce de leche and learning how to make/drink mate. At the end of the night we each got to take a mate cup home. All in all, this was awesome and very worth the money!

Had a great time here - very interactive experience, paired with fun facts and tips regarding Argentine culture! We were taught how to make our own empanadas, which culminated in a contest to see who's was the most creative. We also learned how to order our steak in Spanish, as well as some common expressions. The courses we were served were top notched as well. The empanadas, pork and steak, in particular, stood out. The dishes were paired with wine as well and we got fun chef hats to wear. Awesome time for our large group.

Found the Argentine experience on Instagram and my 13 year old and i thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. All of the food prepared was delicious and the staff was very entertaining. Would have been perfect if we had left with copies of recipes. We enjoyed meeting other travelers and hearing their tips. We had so much fun making empanadas and we were able to purchase mate cups and a special cheese pan.

To start, the empanadas are absolutely delicious and I highly recommend them. The menu otherwise was quite rich. We got the Milanesa, and the Ossobuco on polenta. I found the Milanesa to be a touch on the greasier side than I am used to, but it was delicious! And the Ossobuco on polenta was quite rich, especially with the bone marrow - I had a hard time finishing this, but I highly recommend it. The portions are quite large, so sharing dishes is probably not a bad idea. I am also pleasantly surprised by the cocktail scene of Argentina, especially Buenos Aires! There was a spicy version of a Negroni on the menu that the staff warned me about but I kind of took it as "they probably mean it's a strong drink" But NOPE - it is actually spicy! As a spice lover this was really interesting, but not for everyone. The ambiance of the dining area was quite interesting with photographs and memorabilia. If I had one little advice for the restaurant, maybe fix up the bathrooms a little bit. Peron Peron captures the essence of Buenos Aires in a way that may be a bit controversial, but the food is definitely worth the trip!
